I am superr picky with my hair and before Jay, i really was never 100% in love with my hair when I'd leave salons. Jay gets it perfect every time!! She's taught me so much about my hair, color and extensions, which i was nervous to try at first. Every time i show her what color or hair style i want she does it exactly like the picture, or better!! Its always worth the drive, even just for the blowouts. She's also added a ton of services to her salon (lashes, makeup, teeth whitening, etc). It's really a one stop shop read more

I have been going to Jay ever since she was working in Manhasset, once I heard about her opening her own salon I was so excited to be able to go to her and have her so close to home as well. Jay is really an expert on extensions and taking the best care if your hair. She always styles my extensions perfect and so I can put my hair up when I need to. She also handles my hair with such care after all the bleach and stripping my hair has been thru. Jay has become more like family to me and I would recommend her to everyone looking for a dependable and affordable stylist. You will not be disappointed! read more

Review is regarding their work ethics not their service. Went here during their regular open hours ( as advertised on google), saw the "open" sign outside their store, parked and walked over in the scorching heat only to find out that they decided to remain closed today. Not a holiday either. Definitely not returning. read more

I scheduled an appointment online for a wash and blow-dry, with the advertised price clearly listed as $38. Upon arriving for my 12:00 PM appointment with my two young daughters, I greeted the two male employees at the front desk. Neither acknowledged my greeting. When I informed them that I had an appointment, one responded in an aggressive tone, asking "For what?!" I clarified that it was for a wash and blow-dry. He then demanded "How many?!" and when I said it was just one appointment, he loudly instructed me to "Go wash!" while pointing toward the back. As this was my first visit, I asked for clarification, and only then did a female employee approach me. The female staff member asked to see my hair, as I was wearing a head covering. My natural hair texture is soft, manageable, and would not take longer than thirty minutes to wash and blow-dry. However, upon viewing my hair, she immediately stated that the cost would be $100--more than double the advertised price. When I asked why my service would cost $100 when the posted rate was $38, she replied that "this type of hair" required that charge. At no point on the website or during booking was it indicated that pricing was "starting at" $38 or that texture-based surcharges applied. I refused the discriminatory upcharge and chose not to proceed with the service. I have attached both a copy of my booking confirmation and a photo of my hair for reference, to illustrate how unreasonable the $100 charge was. In addition to the blatant price discrimination, the staff were unprofessional, dismissive, and the premises smelled strongly of cigarette smoke--further reflecting the lack of professionalism. This conduct is unacceptable. It reflects racially discriminatory business practices and constitutes false advertising. I will be pursuing further action, including filing a civil complaint. This type of business has no place in Lynbrook or any community.

Different technicians have serviced me, but mostly it's Linda who helps me. Of course there is a language barrier, but that doesn't stop the professionalism and care from shining through. This is a multi- faceted salon: hair, nails, eyebrows, lashes and I'm hoping they start doing facials. While I don't go there to get my hair styled or cut, I do see the ladies who walk out with a prideful swag, swinging their hair back and forth. Since I come regularly, Linda and staff know exactly why I'm there. No fuss. No muss. The price for a regular mani- pedi, for me, is $31-$35, maybe a little higher on the weekends. Of course, I tip. One caveat: since there is now one pedicure chair, it's best to make an appointment. GET HERE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN

Other than that, I consistently paid premium prices and trusted this salon (specifically Eleanor). Last month, I brought my daughter in for a keratin treatment. Both Eleanor & the owner clearly explained that it was not 100% guaranteed to get her hair to be straight and that it's a process that requires maintenance. I understood the risk & agreed to proceed. Eleanor spent about 2 hours on my daughter's hair and the cost was $200 + tip which I willingly paid. After one wash, her hair returned completely to its original frizzy state. I took photos & called to speak with Eleanor--not to ask for a refund, but simply to understand what happened and discuss a possible solution. Instead, I was met with unpleasantness, unprofessional attitude & defensiveness. Eleanor said, "I spent 2 hours on my feet doing your daughter's hair & we told you it's not guaranteed." I calmly repeated that I wasn't asking for my money back--just an explanation or guidance. I never called back again to discuss the keratin treatment because I felt she was so defensive and they will not offer me any other solution. A week later, when I called to book my usual root color appointment, I was told--after checking Eleanor's availability--that I was no longer welcome at the salon. After 7 years of loyalty and spending a significant amount of money, this is how I was treated for simply asking a question. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for long-term clients is extremely disappointing. I do not recommend this hair salon to anyone. Their customer service and sense of loyalty to long-term clients are far below what you would expect from a professional business.

Jay is one of the best in this hair salon industry! I first met her whiles she worked at a salon in Manhasset. After leaving a new employee colored my hair and made it RED from chopper! Instead of trying to fix it the salon owner tried to convince me it looked good! It's didn't I miraculously tracked Jay down and she was able to do my color correction!!! That was the beginning of this year. Last month while support a new salon I went to get my hair done. The owner did high lights which came out beautifully, I did it the day before my bridal shower. Yesterday I went in to get my roots touched up by the salon woman in time for my wedding this weekend.. she completely turned my entire Head blond from only having high lights of blond. Unable to get it fix by the woman, I called Jay who promptly took me on and corrected my hair color once again. Jay is a humble and kind person. I love the fact that I can make an appointment and don't have to sit a salon for three hours waiting. This was my second time visiting the salon.
