We hired Christ to replace a wall that was rotted out, repair a beam that was rotted out, redo the stucco finish on these, replace a railing/fence to enclose the upper outside deck, and fix tile on the deck (as part of the repair to the rotted wood). This contractor walked out on our job partway through not completing the scope of work agreed upon, taking supplies bought for the job that we paid for already, and being completely unresponsive after guaranteeing multiple times that he would complete the work. He refused to return our phone calls or text messages, despite multiple attempts to get in touch. All we wanted was to have the job done. Our biggest complaint is how this contractor's negligence put our family in direct danger. He left the second story outside deck with no railing or temporary structure to create safety. He did this knowing that we have young children in our home. He did this knowing that there is a full door from our young child's room directly out to this deck. Not only was the work of his subcontractors subpar and beneath what had been promised by Chris. Not only did he assure us that he would complete the job, delaying us in finding another contractor to complete the work so that our home was safe for young children to live in. But he knowingly left our home unsafe for young children due to negligence. He is unfit to provide contracted work in a safe and reasonable manner as agreed upon. He left us with a dangerous construction zone for what he had originally quoted would be a simple job within the scope of work that he was capable of completing.
