Eighteen months ago I bought a $1400 power lift recliner from Southside Furniture. Although the…read moresales and service was good at the point of sale, the customer service a year and a half later leaves much to be desired. 18 months from the date of delivery the power lift portion of the chair stuck in the up position and would not move. Although I knew it was out of the warranty on the parts I called to see if they could service the chair. I was told they no longer sold Mega Motion chairs and since they now sell mostly Ashley furniture they wouldn't/couldn't provide service. When I asked who they might recommend to service the chair they didn't know and couldn't help me. After a bit of researching I was able to order the part online from Ashley/Franklin furniture and will repair it myself by removing the two bolts and cotter pins that hold it in place and reconnecting the power cord. Needless to say, Southside has lost any future business from me.

Had I known it was such poor quality material and all sales are final with no replacements or refunds I would have never ever bought this bed. I think I know every sales person by name, including the manager, Jorden. They have all been very professional, personable and helpful beyond the call of duty. We were a few months from moving into our house which we were renovating, when we bought our largest items of furniture. Havertys stored the furniture at their own warehouse for us until the time that we were ready to move in. Now that is service!
