Finally we went back, and picked the right mattress. On delivery day 12/19/2025 the delivery guys - Jose and Juan came to deliver the mattress, and I noticed holes in the mattress. I declined the delivery plus they didn't bring the right base for the bed. I explained this to them. Jose started yelling at me in my home. I told them to leave my home. I called sit 'n sleep spoke with Shaun Porto explained what happen in my home. He was very understanding, and would take care of this matter. I specifically arranged for someone to be home during that time, but the delivery showed up at 12:23 AM instead. The driver waited a minute or two before leaving the package at the door while I was trying to contact the person at home to answer it. According to Bob's own delivery terms, the driver is supposed to wait 15 minutes before moving on. To be clear, I didn't even mind that they left it at the door -- I had actually left a note on the order saying to do so if nobody answered. What really frustrated me was what happened afterward. I received two separate phone calls from Bob's immediately after delivery. During the first call, I was told that because nobody was home, any damage to the item would be my responsibility. When I explained the driver barely waited before leaving, the representative changed his story and said the delivery driver would be responsible instead. Then, about 20 minutes later, I got another call saying that because I had left a note authorizing the item to be left at the door, any damage would once again be my responsibility. I mentioned that my security footage showed visible damage to the box, and the representative actually claimed the driver ripped the box "to check for damage." How exactly are you supposed to inspect furniture through a rip in the packaging? The strangest part was how insistent they were about making me accept responsibility for potential damage before I had even opened the box. Thankfully, the TV stand itself wasn't damaged, but the entire experience was ridiculous and completely unprofessional. I can only imagine the headache this would have turned into if the item had actually arrived damaged.

Since we recently moved to the area, we were in desperate need of a mattress for our queen size…read morebed. After checking out several mattress businesses, we discovered "Mattress Discount By Appointment" via Craigslist since hubby wanted a cheap mattress but after actually visiting the business and interacting with the friendly owner Al, we left wanting a high class mattress as well as a sleeper sofa. Before entering the business , there was signage on the door saying that masks were required to go inside. Upon entering the business, we were warmly greeted by the store owner named Al. After being taken to the mattress showroom, Al asked us what type of bed we had as well as what budget we had in mind to spend on a mattress. After we answered Al's questions, he showed us a variety of mattresses and told us the benefits of each mattress as well as let us sit on the mattress to get a feel for them. In the end, we decided on an eco-friendly mattress as well as a couch that can converted into a sleeper bed for any company that comes and visits. Before leaving the store, Al said if we were interested in purchasing the items we looked at, he would text us a weblink to apply for store financing. Hubby said we were interested and we quickly completed the online application which was easy to understand and straightforward. After signing the lease agreement, we decided upon a delivery date and time to have our mattresses dropped off. Al said to let him know if we needed to have the delivery time has changed. When our apartment move in time changed, I contacted Al and he worked with his delivery drivers to make sure our mattresses arrived in a timely fashion. The delivery men arrived with the mattresses and quickly set them up. We also purchased a sleeper sofa from Al and although he gave us an arrival date of Tuesday, we were pleasantly surprised to get a call that the sofa would be delivered the following day. The delivery drivers brought the item to our home and quickly set it up.Overall, my experience working with this business and its owner Al has been a pleasure and we will definitely be buying more furniture from him in the future.
