Luckily, I was able to find the perfect home, now it just needed the desk to fill the space. I started out with all of the classic furniture stores and just didn't see anything that stood out. Cantoni was the last on my list as I was always under the assumption it was too expensive. Don't get me wrong, a lot of their stuff was outside of my budget. But I was able to find a very unique desk, BDI, CORRIDOR 6521 EXECUTIVE DESK - CHOCOLATE WALNUT. It wasn't cheap, but everyone that sees the desk gives me compliments. It was big enough for my dual monitors and plenty of space for all of my papers. And it was not wood! Too many of the options I found around town was repurposed wood. The delivery was quick and smooth. I would not buy everything here, but I think it's definitely worth a spot when you are furniture shopping in Houston.

Customer service here is perfect and the kind I like. They don't bombard you the minute you walk in or follow you around or hound you to death about what you might want to buy and tell you why you need to "buy today". Since I researched beforehand what I wanted to see, had other stores I wanted to visit and this was my 1st visit, I walked straight to the central staff desk and asked for someone to guide me. They were more than happy to do that, made some suggestions on pieces I was eyeing and answered my initial questions. Then they let me roam. They checked on me once during my "roaming" which speaks to me "we know you're here; we are here if you want/need us but we are not going to bother you". Perfect Then we regrouped and discussed other my newly found likes. I was given print outs and swatches in a folder to take home to share with hubby and to think about/visualize in my space. I appreciated that totally. I was even given a super cute diamond embellished pen. I received a follow up email then courtesy call a few days later to ask if I had any other questions or needed anything. Again - appreciated bc I do tend to procrastinate. ‍ So I don't really think it's a matter of snobbery as it is of respecting your personal shopping space and style. If you want help and/or someone to follow you around, just ask. I think they assume most people don't want to be badgered or pressured or followed - I sure don't. In fact, that will actually drive me out of a store. I also appreciated being tutored in different leathers and construction options. Joan was very knowledgeable, obviously experienced and (even if it isn't true) seemed genuinely interested in helping me find the perfect piece for my needs and wants. She also told me to take my time and make sure I love what I buy. Again - TY! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is bc I specifically browsed the website and asked to see 3 pieces I found there. None of these were on the floor, so they couldn't be viewed. She did say something about brining down any piece I wanted to see but I'm not sure what that meant ‍(I'm a newbie at this store)...but I mean I did want to see the pieces I asked about... I did feel those 3 original interests were just brushed aside. Its a bit of a thorn to me when things are advertised online but then aren't available in store bc that sort of makes me feel I've wasted time online. I wasn't in the market for a new couch. I've had my sleeper sofa for 4 years. Rarely used the…read moresleeper part...maybe three times. I had friends who recently bought Lovesac furniture. My friend said she wanted to visit after being pre-approved for credit. Plus, they were offering 25% off for their 25th anniversary sale. They use Synchrony credit, btw. If you have this card, it can be used at other participating retailers. I happened to have one for Mattress Firm. Lovesac can search for your info if you don't have the physical card. I haven't used mine in 4 years but kept it open. Anyway, this Lovesac is their newest location. We didn't want to drive to Rice Village since this was so close to us. There was a couple looking at the sacs, and Tori greeted us. She let us explore and look around. I didn't feel pressured to purchase. Tori informed us that today was the last day for their promotion. She assisted my friend in configuring the perfect sactional for her. We got to feel their seat inserts - lovesoft and firm. The lovesoft felt perfect to me. I didn't sink in. It felt like a soft/medium. The firm with the straight back was too firm and stiff, but the insert paired with an angled pillow felt better. My friend chose this one. You'll like this if you prefer firm. We got to play around with the wooden blocks for configuration options. I liked the deep set, but it feels like you're lying in bed with your legs straight out. I wouldn't have minded it, but with my small frame, I looked like I was getting lost in a giant chair. Lol. Their coolest option was the surround sound with haptics and a charger for your phone on the arm rest. Everything is controlled through Bluetooth, and you can change the bass and other sound features or turn off the sound on one side of the couch. Tori let us take our time looking at swatches, showing us how to change the covers, and how to configure. The pieces are about 35 lbs. She warned us that the connectors that lock it in place might be stiff at first and may require more force to lock. I love that the cushions have Velcro to hold them in place. If you have young kids or pets, the covers are machine washable. You can buy as many covers to switch out your color preference any time. They also sell the drink holders and ottoman table top that can be great as an alternative to a coffee table. You can also add a bedding set and storage in the sactional for extra bedding, throws and blankets, or kids toys. I was curious to see what my quote would be with the configuration I wanted, and Tori was able to give me an idea of what it would cost with the discount. I had thought about doing a lighter couch before, but again, I wasn't actively looking. I caved in. Shipping is via FedEx, and it takes 1-2 weeks for delivery. I'm excited! Now I need to sell my sleeper sofa pronto!! Tori, Rhee, and Coco provided excellent customer service! This MKT location is worth a visit if you're considering a new couch/sectional. Btw, Lovesac offers a Heroes Program, which is a 5% discount for military personnel, first responders, healthcare workers, teachers, and veterinary professionals! I love that they give back, recycle boxes for shipment, and use water bottles to make the upholstery fabric.

We came to see a desk which stated online that it is available in store, but after driving all the way there, they stated they do not carry it. We asked to see other similar items and decided to order a standing desk. They claim to provide a "20% discount for new customers" which is bogus because the item is on 20% discount online anyway. They require a "white glove" delivery fee of over $300, despite our having already spent thousands on the item itself. They do not provide free delivery on any amount you spend. You would think that top shelf service would ensure a quick turnaround, but you would be wrong. We were promised delivery within 3 weeks. It has now been more than two months and the item only just got shipped. I called to ask for clarification on the delivery date, and the representative was completely unmoved by the wait time lack of communication. She tried to blame the delay on "tariffs," which doesn't explain the lack of communication. This is a ridiculous answer. I asked to cancel the order so that I could order something that would arrive quicker, and she let me know there is a 10% "restocking fee" for cancellations. I kept the order as is, but I still don't have my desk. I've been working from a small stool on the floor. If I had purchased a cheap imitation somewhere else I'm sure I would have gotten the item by now. All I have left to say is Gallery Furniture and Amazon would never.

They call themselves Design 'Within' Reach but when does an Hermann Miller office chair costing over $2500 fall in the category of affordable.... but thats just one of the options ;) There were some unique designs which caught my attention, like - a book case, it was so compact that it looked like it was floating in the air. Or, the 360 degree rotating cute comfy chair- perfect for my tv corner so I can watch over the cooking, not miss the episode, and, while watching my 2 year old niece running around from one end of the house to another! We got a customized black and red Hermann Miller with fully adjustable arm rest, and lumbar support for a hard floor setting. That chair had the option of the seat also to be adjusted from front to back, but I really didn't see the point of that so skipped it. The price changes with every option added including choosing the red cushion instead of the default. Overall, with the sale, and all the " loadings", and delivery including, we got it for about $800, a good price. Well, we are happy with the choice made. The chair will get shipped in 4 weeks, waiting to welcome it into our work corner.

Delivery are a complete disaster, they send very young guys, 1 of which was very unprofessional, cursing in my home with my 6 year old son running around. Worried about getting home too late to go out with friends instead of putting the furniture together. Way too much time is spent in the homes when these deliveries are made, it was a 2 hour job that was done in 5, my fiancee ended up jumping in to get them on their way so we could go to bed. These guys had little to no experience in assembling furniture which resulted in a king bed not being put together correctly and my son's full size bed not being put together at all because they thought they were missing a piece. A new part had to be ordered, which he didn't do right away, he waited until I got upset to do something and had the nerve to curse at me when I was getting upset due to his incompetence of running a business. He blamed the furniture vendor when all along it was his own fault. Tad could not care less about making anything right, be careful, just because he discounts everything, doesn't mean you'll be happy. After over a month of dealing with this business I'm so glad to be done with them, don't put yourself in this position and go somewhere else !
