Right away she got the owners next to me who gave me a fun unrushed tour of the back which has newspaper clippings, original objects and photos of Decema Kimball Andresen Slawson and her parents whose very historic general store business she continued after them. They had wonderful hospitality and even gave me some free samovar tea . This exotic recipe was also handed down to present day and did not disappoint! Fun experience visiting the early days of Tent City, Anchorage!

I'm a recent transplant to Anchorage and I have been on the search for the best chai tea latte around town. Well, good news, I found it. Chai is so often an after thought at coffee shops but this place doesn't skimp on quality. Not to mention the atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous with a multitude of houseplants to buy and little gifty type items. On nice days they open up a wall to their back patio area. I haven't stopped by the little market they are connected to, but I'm excited to try it! Needless to say I'm going to become a frequent flyer here.
