If you're looking for a unique, welcoming spot to grab a coffee or find one-of-a-kind plants, look no further than That Feeling Co. in Anchorage. I can't count the number of plants and accessories I've purchased from this place--each visit is an absolute treat. The atmosphere is so beautiful and inviting, and it's always a pleasure to step inside. The staff here is always incredibly friendly, and you can tell they genuinely care about the experience they create for their customers. But today, I HAVE to talk about the Apple Chia Tea Latte. WOW. This drink was heavenly from the very first sip! I wish I had gotten a larger size because it was just that good. The perfect balance of flavors, and it felt like a warm hug in a cup. Every time I visit, it feels like a mini getaway. If you're in Anchorage and craving a cozy spot to relax, or you're in need of some stunning plants to brighten up your space, That Feeling Co. is the place to be. Coffee and plants. Two of my favorite things! Came in for coffee one morning and enjoyed looking at the plants. They have a handful of syrups that can be used for lattes. Overall the coffee was good. I should've opted for a different flavor syrup..I tried raspberry and it was not my favorite. read more

Delicious coffee with very reasonable prices! The atmosphere is great with lots of plants and cute art! Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Grab a smoothie or cup of coffee and enjoy. If you love plants, coffee, tea, and a cozy place to visit on a cold day, then That Feeling Co is the place for you. The owners, Tonya & Carson are very friendly, creative, kind, and helpful. I discovered this shop through Indigo Tea Lounge's social media page. I love the vibe of this store. It has a very vintage, indie, hip, Alaska meets the Pacific Northwest meets a little sprinkle of the deserts of Pacific Southwest vibe. They opened at the end of January, and are one of the businesses in town that I feel contributes to Anchorage's vibrancy, independent businesses community, and its creative flair. The plants that they sell are of a rare variety that you can't find anywhere else in town. I feel it's what sets them apart from other plant centric businesses in town. Some of these plants include Money Tree (Pachira Aquatica), Snake Plant (Sansevieria Starfish Boncel), Nepenthes (Monkey Cups), Philodendron, etc. A lot of these plants originate from all over the world, but many have been ordered from California to bring Alaska that rare plant flair, and introduce people to plants they wouldn't otherwise have access to. Tonya & Carson really care about & value the process of taking care of the plants so that they live a long life. This is reflected in the interactions with their customers & their detailed instruction cards they've made for each and every single plant. These instruction cards are free with each purchase of a plant. They also have a couple of tables where they sell Tonya's photography and art, candles, Pigeon Ceramics cups, pottery, and plant holders. Next door is a specialty grocery store called Johnny's Produce, which is owned by Tonya & Carson's family. They offer a variety of fruits, vegetables, smoothies, and local grocery items. I have yet to try their smoothies & juices. I really look forward to seeing what events they will host in the future. That Feeling Co has been a very cozy and comfortable place to come and hang out. My personal favorite drink of theirs, that barista, Ashlee makes is their Oat Milk London Fog Latte. I've also had their Matcha Latte. Both are delicious & super addicting! I loved going here after getting lunch at Fire Island. I got an iced americano, and it was good. They had a verdant plant selection and a cute arrangement of clothing. They had plenty of nondairy milks (Pacific brand) for those who want them, and they use Monin syrups. I wish they used Oatly and made their own syrups, but they managed the load of drink orders well and the coffee itself (which is all I can judge!) was very solid. read more

Super cute!! It's lush, cozy and a dream for someone who is or aspires to be a plant parent. I love the vibe and would love to see this in another location with more work spaces and spaces to hang out. Your plants come with care cards and they helped identify what you're buying and will help to plan your space so you're buying a plant that will be a happy plant. This place seems out of place for the area it is in. But I am glad they have added another plant store to Anchorage! There's also a coffee shop and markets attached to it. You can also sit and hang out with the plants while you drink your coffee. And listen to the wonderful music. The amount of different plants and variety of plants here are pretty great. They also have a wish list of plants that you would like and they would love to fill the void in the shop. They have a lot of pots and other things you need to start your plant obsession. They also have regular shipments of plants, so there is always new plants coming here. Also just coming here to drink coffee and sit with the plants is an amazing vibe. read more

Best place to get houseplants in anchorage. High quality products, fewer bug issues than plants bought at Lowe's or Home depot, healthy plants! The staff and I have become close and have even done plant trades and cutting trades with me, which is really amazing since some special plants don't get shipped up to Alaska. Coffee there is good too! But mostly I go for the plants :) read more

Stopped by on my way home knowing they closed in 10 minutes. I didn't mean to be that person. Anyways the staff were so nice and didn't seem to care that they were closing up. Some were doing their closing duties like sweeping and cleaning up, but they were still welcoming and took my order. They made a phenomenal hot vanilla latte! There is also something about being surrounded by all the plants that is calming. I'm not really a plant person but it's a relaxing atmosphere and they have a little grocery store in there. The strawberries looked so fresh. I plan on going back when I'm in that area!! read more

This is the cutest little plant shop/coffee tea bar combo. Not a coffee shop to grab a drink and sit down but perfect to get a great espresso or tea drink, walk around enjoying all the beautiful plants and decor, and leave with a new plant baby. I purchased the most BEAUTIFUL blue pot here and a snake plant baby and he has absolutely flourished in my mom. Also, as an individual who is gone frequently for work they gave great suggestions on low care plants and what else would fit my lifestyle. Provided great tips for at home care as well, probably why my plant is doing so well, I'm not known for having a green thumb! Highly recommend anyone who needs some decorative additions to their home come here and take a cute lil plant home with them! read more

Cute plant and coffee shop in S. anchorage. They're also connected to a small grocery store as pictured where you can get locally grown produce. The plant side is really cool and you can order a coffee or my fave chai tea and drink while you browse the beautiful selection of plants. I'm new to the plant mom life so the prices were pretty shocking but for AK I think they're pretty standard. The employees were helpful in helping us choose a low maintenance house plant that we would t kill right off the bat. read more

For a plant store they seem to know very little about plants. I was very excited to try this place after hearing so much about it. I came in the other day and was surprised to see that almost every plant in the store was just sitting in a pot with no label or care instructions. I asked about a couple of different types of plants and was either met with multiple "ummmm I don't know" responses or one staff who attempted to look things up in an app. I say attempted because after 5+ minutes of her looking and looking, asking her colleagues and coming back to me she could only say "I think it's this one" At some point I had walked over to a particular plant and was turning the pot around to find what it was and an employee came over so I asked what it was and after a VERY long pause she said "I'm pretty sure it's some kind of succulent." All of this was pretty comical, but then I attempted to order a coffee however the two girls working at the counter were so busy talking to each other that they ignored me even though I was right in front of them. I had high hopes for this place but was so disappointed. Why not have labels or care instructions for the plants? It seems clear this place is more of an attempt to capture the zeitgeist than any serious attempt at a customer oriented business read more

I want to start this review by saying I don't have a green thumb. I have the opposite of a green thumb, whatever that may be (a red thumb, maybe? If we're going off of color wheel logic). But I find myself coming back here as often as I'm in the area! The atmosphere is hip and peaceful, with lots of natural lighting. The plants inside are beautiful, and all seem to be thriving (again, no green thumb! Take what I say with a grain of salt). The non plant items are usually what interest me- I love their selection of cards, candles, and other gift-type items that you can't find anywhere else in town. I love that they collaborate with local small businesses for stock. The coffee is good and their monthly specials are always worth trying. I also love their proximity to Johnnys Produce! I normally wouldn't go out of my way to write a review about a "plant store" but trust me when I say this place is so much more!! It's quality from the minute you walk in. Artful decorations, a wide variety of hanging+potted plants, marcrame, locally made gifts and a helpful staff. I'm new to plants and the chić setup had me feeling a little out of me league at first. The staff were all so knowledgeable and kind...answered all of my (probably too many) questions about plant health+care tips. I don't mind spending a few more bucks than I would at Lowe's for plants but I want them to last! The inside is gorgeous and unique. Huge monsteras greet you as you enter. Unless of course it's a sunny day. In that case the garage doors are open, some plants are set up outside, as well as a cute sitting area. I can only afford to be here a few weekends a month :) they open at 8 or 9am everyday. Tis a treat to sneak houseplants home without your partner fussing. Their price points for houseplants are average compared to the other places I frequent for houseplants. Plants here are usually placed in pots that TFC also sells. You can choose to buy the plant only, which is what I do. You'll receive written care instructions for plants purchased if you so choose. Even if I'm unable to connect with a plant there, they also make yummy drinks/coffee and I grab their monthly drink special every time I'm there. The staff I'd describe as cool and eclectic. Everyone I've encountered has been plant knowledgeable and kind. TFC is connected to Johnny's Produce. Although I peek in the connecting doorway every time I'm at TFC, I've yet to crossover and see just how glorious that side is. Soon! read more

We were told it might take up to 8 weeks for our order to arrive in Alaska because we ordered a color they did not have in stock. That's totally fine, things take time to get shipped up here. Well, 8 weeks came and went and we had zero contact from the store about when our order would be delivered. Finally after calling and emailing them several times I got a call back saying that they would be scheduling the delivery for 1 November 25. The night prior to our scheduled delivery, we got a call from Russell (the salesperson that placed our order for us) saying that Richard (another salesperson) forgot to order a piece of the bed so the bed would actually not be delivered on 1 November. He said that Richard no longer works for their company and so he'd fix Richard's mistake. Richard did not take our order, Russell did. Russell then said he'd talk to a store manager about getting our $150 delivery fee refunded and he'd call us back the next day to confirm how we'd like that refund sent to us. We did not receive a call the next day or for the next several days. I emailed Russell and asked for an update and then he called my husband to tell him he needed a manager's approval and that he'd call my husband back the next day when a manager was in the store to assist. Well guess what, no call then either. We have requested to talk to a manger several times and every single time the response is "one should be working tomorrow". At the end of November, after not receiving any word about a refund on our delivery fee, I emailed Russell AGAIN to ask for an update on the refund and once again requested to speak to a manager. He said that our check was already in the mail and that he forwarded my contact information to the manager to call me. When the check arrived it was dated one day after I sent that email so he either forgot to send it or hoped that we would forget about the $150. Our bed finally got delivered on 13 December 2025, almost four months later. I am 8 months pregnant and slept on a mattress on the floor while waiting for this bed. I feel like I straight up harassed these people to get this bed delivered which is outrageous. I understand that things take time to get delivered up here, but when we were quoted 8 weeks and that time doubled because of a mistake on the company's part, I would have (at the very least) expected to speak to a manager when I requested to speak to one. They have done absolutely nothing to try to rectify this situation except make empty promises and place blame on other salespeople that don't even work at the store anymore. I have called and emailed both the salesperson that helped order our items and their company's direct email and I get nowhere with either. The same happens when I call, if they answer the phone at all. To date I have still not received a call back from a manager. I don't believe that one actually works at this store, nor do they give a s*** about what goes on there. Mistakes happen, but for the price point of this furniture, I am really really disappointed by the lack of concern they have for trying to correct a problem that they caused. I do NOT recommend shopping here. Support a different business that will actually value your hard-earned money and not try to give you the run around.

We are now checking out all the options from big box stores to privately owned local shops. We were greeted politely when we walked in and mentioned what we were looking for. The nice gal took us to the appropriate area and let us browse on our own. We went to get her when we found a couple of tiles that piqued our interest and she showed us additional options that we wouldn't have thought of on our own. The check samples out to you as well and we came home with three boards of tile to look at against our kitchen counters. As we were walking to the front, she mentioned the furniture and decor showroom downstairs and holy moly were we shocked by it!! Shocked and pleasantly surprised!!! Tons of excellent furniture and decor, Christmas decorations and more! We will definitely be back and spread the word about them!

Rethink Home is a family-owned business located on W. Fireweed across from the VFW Post between Arctic and Spenard. The display floor is filled with an interesting mix of antique furniture, novelty items like 80's icon shirt button pins (Pac-Man, Mr. T, Galaga, Max Headroom, He-Man, and Q-Bert among others), a large detailed oil-style painting of Audrey Hepburn from the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's displayed on the rear wall in the back room, Alaskan memorabilia, and crafts from local artists. Like all of my other reviews on antique stores, my main focus is the vinyl they have in wooden crates set up by the front register. The collection here is relatively small and like the secondhand thrift stores, they will arrive randomly without notice. There was an array of albums from the 40's and 50's up to the more modern artists from the 70's and 80's. I saw a few that caught my attention but unfortunately had to pass on because of the condition of some of the records. Some jazz albums I considered buying had visible surface scratches and split seams on either the top or bottom of the album covers. At $5 to $8 on some of these, these were priced relatively high by their condition alone. However, they did have a separate crate of records that were marked down to $2 or 50% from their original selling price, but again the condition was a concern. The nearby secondhand thrift stores had vinyl in better shape at only $1 apiece or .60 at the lowest with minimal surface scratches or fully intact album covers with the original inner sleeve available. However, the people running this store are very friendly and this place is a good option for anyone looking to purchase some paintings or a detailed wood-carved piece of vintage furniture.
