the worst experience ever! we ordered a headboard in December. we were notified in January that the one we ordered was discontinued and offered a replacement. we accepted the replacement and were told that it would be on a truck within about a week. when we didn't hear by late February we reached out by phone and text but got no response. we finally went to the store and after 2 trips there we were finally given a delivery date. we waited home all day yesterday but they never showed up. They sold us a used or damaged boxspring, and have delayed deliveries due to ineptitude from the salesperson for almost 2 months. They couldn't care less that my daughter has no mattress to sleep on and they are not proactive about trying to solve the issue. Sleep works was our first stop in the mattress search. I wasn't too keen on ordering mattress without testing it out and Sleepworks carried some of those brands (helix). I'm glad we went because we did not like the direct order brands - way too soft! Our salesperson, Joe had us test out several, showed us some clearance ones too since we didn't want to spend a boatload. We went with an Arctic glacier brand and it's been a dream! We purchased it on a Saturday and it was delivered Thursday. We sleep so well now being comfy (and we also got a great deal)! read more

Had a good experience. Greg was patient, let us try several options and guided me to the ones I had researched online ahead of time. Long story short, glad I tested several in the store rather than rolling the dice online. I tried the ones with good online reviews (e.g. Helix Moonlight Luxe) in the store and they were just not supportive enough except maybe the DreamCloud Hybrid which I liked but it does lack edge support (and cost less). Very happy we found the Eastman House Haven Extra Firm which is very supportive and has much better edge support so I went for it (King size). Delivery took 2.5 weeks, but all good. So far so good and I'm happy to say the wife also approves (I was worried). She says her back pain has gone away, which is much to my surprise. It is extra firm and took a little getting used to but has a nice small layer of cushion so it's not rock hard, but we don't sink in like the pillow top we had before. There is an ever so slight "new mattress" odor which I didn't notice at first, and I suspect it will dissipate over time. Happy with the purchase. I'm debating getting the DreamCloud Hybrid for the guest bedroom as it's half the price, but I think the Haven is better overall. read more

Shady, bad businessmen. We went to pick up our foundation twice on the days they were supposed to be in stock. In the pouring rain both times , alas they weren't in yet. They then offered to deliver for free. The Day of delivery they sent us the wrong foundations (after waiting over a week). The Foundations ( box springs) said "Bob's" on one and "Laura Ashley" on the other. If we wanted Bob's we would have went to Bob's and paid less. Plus they were dark grey...No where's near the color of our King Koil beige mattress we got from them weeks prior. Also, one box spring was torn. Still waiting on the right ones to be delivered. Every time they tell us it's coming, they are "no shows" and have an excuse. Then Blame it on manufacturers naturally. All of it. The mix up, the tear in box spring, the lying about delivery dates etc. Right now my mattress is up against the wall, bedroom in shambles waiting on another delivery that isn't coming. New delivery date is 3 days from now. Should have known when they never called back with a time frame for delivery after two phone calls. They love to play dumb to boot. Never again. We both understand that these things happen, and did not make a big deal of it until we have tried to contact Sleepworks for a resolution, with no answer. Multiple emails and calls, and no response. My husband and I bought a King mattress from Sleepworks in Massapequa in October of 2020. We thought we were getting a firm mattress but instead, it was an Extra Firm.On our receipt it said Firm. After I few months we went back to the store and the sales person told us that was what we purchased. We told him how unhappy we were with the mattress and it was already starting to sag. Plus we turned the mattress once a month. He advised us it had to be over an inch sag and it was just alittle under that. We were told maybe a pillow top would help because there was nothing they could do. It is now Oct. of 2022 and my husband and I have NOT had a good nite sleep, even with a pillow top ! The mattress is sagging more ! Sooooo unhappy with this product. After spending over a large amount of money thinking this mattress would last, we now have to buy another mattress after 2 years, if we want to get a good nite sleep and wake up painless!!!! Very disappointed. Don't truly honor their warranty. I have a defective mattress and they won't accept it back, and if they did I would still have to pay a ton of fees for delivery and taking my mattress back. During the COVID times we are not comfortable with people in our home we offered to drop it off and pick up the new mattress. I had to remain the person who works with the warranty twice because she wasn't getting back to me after a few weeks. They offered me to buy the mattress again at a 10% discount. I have a 10 year warranty on it I shouldn't need to purchase a new mattress for hundreds of dollars. Do not go here. read more

Where do I begin. I bought a mattress originally from a big retailer mattress store. It wasn't for me ,so I returned it and started looking for a new mattress. It is so confusing between stores and mattresses to many to compare. Then I realized I bought a futon from sleepworks ,two years ago. Which we love. While I was there I tried a few latex beds. So I figured I'd give it a try and go back to shop for a mattress at sleepworks. Lord and behold i found a latex mattress that I loved. Terrible customer service! They never asked about the location that we were going to put our murphy bed, and then when it was time to deliver they refused to even try to deliver. If they won't deliver to an upstairs room they should ask the customer BEFORE they buy where the bed is going to go! They tried to tell us that it would be no problem, but at the last minute insisted on an extra $150 charge to disassemble and reassemble. PLUS the bed was damaged and they continue to give us a runaround about how it will be repaired. read more

I ordered a mattress that met my need for a supportive and comfortable mattress perfectly. Unfortunately the mattress that I received is not what I ordered. Sleepworks assures me it is the same mattress with a different name. That is not accurate. The mattress that was delivered is as hard as a rock; I am unable to sleep on this. Although Sleepworks offered to swap what was delivered with the floor model, this is not a wise option for me during the pandemic. These are nice people. I went to buy a new bed, and Anthony in Patchogue was just wonderful. Told me all the information and told me to just lay down and check them out. He left me there to talk to my friend and see which of the many things he showed me I would pick. I went home and gave it some thought and went back a couple days later to order my new bed - one you won't find at just any bed store. These guys leave you alone and don't hover. They let you decide and don't push. So I went in to order my bed and I told the associate behind the desk that I wanted the lower boxspring. I'm short and want my feet on the floor to tie my shoes. I guess I'm part of minority because a high boxspring was ordered and sent. When I called to ask for a swap, I was told I would have to pay another delivery charge. My neighbor was with me and I double checked with her that she heard me say I needed the lower boxspring. So who thinks I should have to pay another delivery charge? I like the store. On September 4th, 2017 I was thrilled to finally buy my two year old daughter her first big girl bed. As I am very concerned about natural products, I entrusted Greg at Sleepworks with the best for my daughter. A few weeks later my husband picked up the mattress only to find that a coil had punctured through the top surface of the mattress. Feeling very disappointed I called Greg back at Sleepworks to assist me in remedying this issue. Unfortunately, Greg was not very helpful. After some time passed trying to track him down with several calls, I finally got through to him and was advised to send him pictures of the mattress that he would forward to the manufacturer. After weeks had passed and no follow up from Greg, my husband and I made several attempts to call him back. Finally Greg notified us that the manufacturer Fedex'ed the mattress and Lisa will reach out to us with more information. This actually never happened. Two more weeks passed without Sleepworks, Greg, or Lisa reaching out to us. Naturally, my husband and I were very upset with the service and frustrated that after more than two months passing, Lisa finally called back with confirmation that the mattress was sent out by the manufacturer. Greg, assured my husband that we would be compensated for the inconvenience. When I reached out to Greg last week to follow up, expectedly, it was to no avail. As you put research into the mattress you select, I encourage you to put similar research into where you make your purchase. Never would I recommend Sleepworks to anyone. Hopefully these words urge you to think twice before making a purchase with Sleepworks. read more

The outlet store on Sunrise Highway in Bayshore was a pleasure to shop in. Anthony was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and not pushy. Shady, shady, shady business! Ordered a twin mattress and was told that it wasn't in stock so they would get back to us within 7 to 10 days to schedule a delivery. After 11 days we called to get an update and were told that they never would have said we'd have a delivery scheduled within 7 to 10 days and that they mattress will arrive "any day now" and that if we don't hear from them by Thursday (14 days after the order) to call them back. Well, they did not call back, so we did. No answer on Thursday. We called again on Friday and got a machine. We immediately called our credit card company to dispute the charge. Well after a week after disputing the card charge we received our first call from Sleepworks (22 days after the order). The man said that they saw that we are disputing the credit card charge and apologized, and that the mattress is now in (how convenient!) He didn't mention anything about a restocking fee, that was left for another call the following day when another man called saying that the mattress is in and they will have to charge a 30% restocking fee! When we called back to argue that this would be unfair they refused to budge. We find this to be an alarming practice as several people have complained about the same thing here on Yelp and on other sites. They take the payment, claim to order the mattress, never call and never deliver it - do they even ever order it? Then they pocket 30% after the order is inevitably cancelled by the customer. Stay away. This is a rotten business. read more

As a working mother of two, a good night's sleep is priceless. Everyone knows that it's hard to get a good night's sleep without the right pillow. In my hunt for the perfect pillow, I was shocked to learn that there are a lot of harmful chemicals used to make your average pillow. With that said, I was thrilled to discover that Sleepworks pillows are all made with no chemicals and are eco-friendly, not to mention they are OEKO TEX 100 certified (this basically means that they were successfully tested for harmful substances and their production facility was audited and found to be environmentally friendly). To top it off (pun fully intended), they are super comfortable! They never lose their shape and even always smell fresh (fellow droolers will understand where I'm coming from!). This was the worst experience EVER!! If possible, they would have received a (-)5 Stars. My experience started off great but quickly turned into the worst nightmare ever. I will NEVER shop there again. I ordered a custom made Murphy bed in the beginning of March, 2015 (over $2500) and was told my bed would be ready within 6-8 weeks. I disposed of my child old bedroom set to make space for her new bed! After 6 weeks I called the store for an update to find out the bed wasn't even started. Long story short (the details only makes me relive this nightmare), they locate another vendor to make my bed which took an additional 2 weeks after me making constant phone calls and emails. Fast forward again to May4th, to check on delivery, I am given another extended time. When I complained which as a customer who paid in full for the merchandise (remember this process started March, 7th), I am sent a rude email back in summary Sleepworks complaining about providing me customer service and the work they needed to do to full-fill their obligation to complete my order. Fast forward again to June 1st, I am finally provided a tracking number for my bed with a June 4th delivery date!!! Don't get too excited (that was my mistake); the bed was delivered damaged and unrepairable. So after THREE months I am once again back in the same place. NO BED. As you probably already figured out, it became harder and harder to reach anyone because only 1 person could handle the problem according to them and he started dogging my calls. On June 19th (3 months later) I cancelled my order and went to another company. The new company Breda Beds filled my order and shipped my bed with excellent customer service and the same quality furniture. My new bed was delivered and installed within 4 weeks and my child finally has a bed to sleep on!!! Stay away from Sleepworks!! Avoid the nightmare!! read more

I recently purchased a Cherry Oak Futon Frame and was not impress. A rating of NEGATIVE -10 is being kind. The Cherry Oak Futon frame was not representative of what sleepworks described or promise in the sale of the product. The product that was delivered was not Cherry Oak. The Futon frame was constructed with miscellaneous wood pieces. A request for real Oak to replace the inferior product I received was denied. The sales person Mr. Greg stated; " If you want real Oak you would have to carve it from an Oak tree. " A request for a refund and return of the product was also denied. Mr Anthony Page (Owner) will be hearing from me in court. This is the worst customer service experience dealing with Sleepworks. We ordered a twin bed for my son 6 weeks ago. They told us it would be one week, maybe 2. They never return phone calls and when we do get them on the phone they tell us an exact date of when it will be there and that they will call us. They haven't ever called us and of course are not being truthful about the date. We would be upset with any store that took so long but it would be a lot different if they would have been keeping us informed, trying to find another solution and maybe throwing in an apology or two here and there. The last time my husband got them on the phone they told the bed was out of stock and gave him some line about how lucky we were that we are getting the upgraded model bed in it's place and that it would be here on Monday (last Monday). So today we are going to the store to cancel our order and get our money back. And then we are headed to another store to get a bed for our son, who has been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for the past 4 weeks. read more
