The staff is wonderful and very prompt with their responses. Our new plan had us staying in the Wolf Den. Upon arrival our suite was spotless and so so welcoming. The suite offers everything you need for a beautiful trip away from home. The yard just off of the suite allowed for our dogs to stretch their legs and have some fun as well. It's located right off the highway but we weren't bothered by any road noise during the night. And they're located just a couple miles from the beach in Ninilchik so it's a prime location if you're gonna dig for clams. Highly recommended.

Extremely cool flight, over the Cook Inlet, volcanoes, tundra, glaciers, and all the breathtaking Alaskan wilds. At Katmai, the numerous Brown bears were an incredible feast for the eyes, as they feasted on an unusally fat run of salmon. Our pilot was skilled and knowledgeable. The Katmai Rangers were wonderful as well. Not cheap, but well worth it. An experience we will never forget.

You have a brief introductory meeting the day before your trip where they tell you what to expect, and to get to your weight. The aircrafts they have are 2 (10) passenger de Havilland DHC-3 Otters. They are smaller airplanes, but make for a fairly smooth flight. We spent about 1.5 hrs. on our trip from Homer to Katmai, and we even passed over the Augustine volcano in the Cook inlet!! Awesome! You may want to bundle up, and wear layers on the plane as it gets pretty cold here in Alaska. We will definitely use this service again, and thank you for providing us the opportunity to travel with you!

I was pretty nervous about going in such a small airplane for the first time but the pilot and other passenger on our plane, a man who lives in Homer, helped us feel comfortable and at ease. Once we landed in Lake Clark, we set out for a bit of a walk to try to find some bears. I spotted our first one within about 30 minutes of hiking around and we got extremely close to it. Our guide and pilot gave us great information about how to be safe and cautious around the bears. Soon enough, we spotted another one which walked right by us as well. We explored the Beach and marsh and had great weather. It was really amazing how close we got to the bears. We got some fabulous photos as well. Oh, and as a bonus on the way over to Lake Clark, because of the weather, our pilot decided to do some flight seeing for us to burn some time while the clouds dissipated. So that was a fabulous extra bonus!
