We came down to Greensboro for my nephews first bday party and we all woke up craving iced coffee. We weren't willing to make the drive out of the community and this popped up for us. There was a line forming as soon as they opened - which is a good sign in my opinion. We all got a variety of their specialty drinks but I personally just got an iced coffee with a splash of whole milk. My family all finished their coffees before we made it back home on our 7 min drive. I wish they had a wider variety of food options. I prefer bagels over biscuits and wish I had the choice.

Their oat milk vanilla cold brew is wonderful. I purchase it at Rudd Farm. Need to catch them at the food truck on as well.

My husband and I were in downtown Greensboro on a Saturday afternoon and decided to hit this place up for lunch. When they called the place The Bodega, they really mean it's a bodega. It's decked out like a small convenience store from the second you walk in. We ordered our food at the cash register to eat at one of their tables outside. The cashier brought our sandwiches out about 10 minutes after ordering. I ordered the Turkey Caesar. It had turkey, shaved parmesan, marinated cherry tomato, house-made Caesar dressing, onion, and romaine lettuce in an 8" sandwich roll. It was a little pricey at $15, but it was worth the splurge. The dressing and parmesan cheese were unbelievable! Since this is in downtown Greensboro, there is no dedicated parking lot but we easily found street parking nearby. The place has a few tables outside for customers to enjoy their food. If you're looking for a good sandwich, I highly recommend checking The Bodega out.

Unfortunately the kitchen had already closed (Sunday) but trust me when I say the sandwiches are mouthwatering. And if you like THC drinks, this is the spot! So many options to choose from. I would consider the taste to be similar to the Italian sub at Firehouse Subs - just this one being a few dollars more. I'd go back here again because I love supporting local businesses!

Even asked the register girl if she preferred we take it to go- she said it was fine to dine in. We sat down and as this mgr lady was putting other guests food in the window, she yelled to the cashier "if anyone else comes in tell them the kitchen is closed, should have been 20 mins ago"(which would have been an hour before closing time lol) and looked right at us. Super unprofessional comment- and icing on the cake... when our food was ready and my husband went to the counter to pick it up, the other lady in the kitchen said "I should have just packed that one to go". If you want to be done at 2:30- then don't have your business hours open till 3. Do yourself a favor and walk 20 feet down the sidewalk to Mikes Deli- same boards head meat and no one will talk shit about you in front of your face.

It's clean, they have homemade cookies at the register, their menu is on the wall behind the counter and they have a ton of sandwich topping options to choose from. I told the girl behind the counter it was my first time visiting and she walked me through my order. She was very patient, polite and professional. I ordered a 6" Classic Italian and a 6" Meatball sub with an order of Homemade Chips. I cut them in half so I can sample both and still have another meal or two for the next day. The chips were the best homemade chips, cooked until crispy. And both sandwiches were delicious and on fresh bread but I especially liked the Classic Italian which was fully loaded! I also got a couple of cookies to try. I e only tried the peanut butter cookie so far and it was really good. I can't wait to come back to try some of their other sandwiches. I would recommend.

Who wouldn't like an authentic Italian market with homemade Italian favorites?…read more The moment you walk through the door, your senses are on overload from the sites and smells of meats, cheeses and the aroma of garlic that make you want to taste everything you see. The gentlemen working there are so handsome and helpful. They were eager to assist and the service is top notch. They get you in and out quickly, without sacrificing quality. Dats what I'm talkin about! Their artichokes look so good. I can't stop thinking about them and am kicking myself in the pants for not getting some. Oh well, I guess that means I'll be forced to go back and get some. Ha! What I did get was the Italian Stallion sub and the Meatball Parm sub. First. Let's talk about the bread. FRESH and slightly crunchy on the outside, with the perfect amount of chewy, and pillowy yet dense on the inside. The BEST bread on a sub that I've found in NC. The Marinara on the sub is authentic Italian marinara with just the right amount of cheese, but those MEATBALLS...I've never had a meatball quite like theirs and they are homemade, delicious with the perfect seasonings. Yum! The Italian Stallion. Absolutely the BEST sandwich I think I've ever eaten. They don't skimp on the meat that's for sure and its QUALITY cold cuts all the way. And the best thing about getting food from here? Their prices. They have kept their prices on the lean side while still keeping their sandwiches fat. Love love love! So what ya gonna do about it? Go back for more! That's what! This is a 100% YES and I will be recommending to everyone.

I also happened to be there for Music Bingo night, which was fun! As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag. The fries were great actually. On this weekday during happy hour, we had a bad experience unfortunately. Our server was amazing though! Giving her props for her friendly demeanor and great service. Drinks were also cold and refreshing. Where it turned sour: our Chef's Special appetizer plate. The mozzarella sticks were hollow. Not just thin, but completely hollow with no cheese, just an outer shell. The "beef" empanadas had no beef inside. Again, mainly hollow with only a little cheese inside. Overcooked and almost impossible to chew. They were also out of some pickled items that were supposed to be on the plate, and they substituted some old strawberries, which definitely did not complement anything on this plate. We were here for a full meal, but we stopped here and did not order our main courses. ***MOST IMPORTANTLY*** Some employees were engaging in activities inside the establishment, which are not conducive to a restaurant in any capacity. A call will be made to management and/or the owner(s). We're highly hopeful this is a one-off experience and these issues will be rectified going forward. We love this place. We've had amazing food and evenings out with friends and family here. We want to be back, and I would love to update this review in the near future.

The service isn't going to be in and out as this isn't a large place with lots of wait staff. Expect to be here at least an hour. They have Coors on draft (nostalgia for the Mr.) and tall boy PBRs. Not your thing? Don't let that deter you bc they are one of the few places I have seen who has Old Rasputin on DRAFT. Those not familiar, this is a Russian imperial stout by North Coast Brewery out of Ft Bragg, California. Something I haven't had since... well, I lived in California. Personally, one of my favorite stouts. Beer not your thing? They have an array of specialty contrails and some solid liquor choices including buffalo trace's limited purchase bourbon (eagle rare/ blantons). Food: the Brussels, sandwiches, and salads looked amazing (neighboring patting got those). We split a few things: Brisket: nit the best I have ever had, but solid choice. Maybe not for the $, but it was fall apart brisket. Wings: these are crispy fried with sauce on the side. A little hard but good. Not my favorite. The poutine was by far a favorite with the melty cheese and the gravy was delicious. We also had the street corn and with the lime was pretty good as well. These 4 things were plenty for the 2 of us with a little extra. We didn't mind paying the extra because of the experience. I did about die of heat, but I should have put a hair the in my bag and wore a skit or just not jeans. We will definitely be back.
