Always a great meal and wonderful outdoor seating! The patio has shade along the building and likely full shade in the late afternoon. It makes for a great place on nice days for lunch, drinks or dinner. And, as always, they have great food and friendly service. If you've never been, you need to give them a try!
Tried this place a few weeks ago and then went back again last night because it was so good! This place is unassuming but packs a punch. The staff is super nice and attentive. They are very knowledgable about the food and drinks. I am a big meat eater so I got the 3 way bbq tray and my gf got their wings and seasonal soup. Every single meat on the tray was savory and packed with flavor. The blackberry bbq sauce is my absolute favorite thing. It is a great pairing with the wings and i even dipped a few fries in from time to time. 1000000% will be back! See yall soon!

Vegan chicken, hot honey sandwich. Oh my gosh, so good! Came here with my family for Sunday lunch and they were able to accommodate our large group pictured below. We got help from one of the servers to slide tables together. She was amazing and extremely helpful! We were able to sit outside and enjoy the new patio area. 10 out of 10 recommend!
This was our first time going here. They have very limited parking space. We ordered an appetizer of poutine and it was delicious. I ordered a Cuban sandwich with waffle fries. My wife ordered a brisket sandwich and a soup. Both were very good. Great waitress and a very cool atmosphere there. The wife did get a fruity beer and a salad to go. All in it was around 71$ but it was a good time so it was worth it to us.
The food never disappoints! It is always so so good and so so flavorful! It is also very fresh and you can tell they put a lot of pride in their food! The service is always amazing and very kind! The ambiance is relaxed and very comfortable! I really enjoy spending time here with friends and family!

Love the amount of veggie and vegan options Freeman's has to offer! Being one of the top Yelp rated places in the COUNTRY is a huge crown to carry, and Freeman's does not dissapoint. The service is always quick, and the food is fresh and delicious. Everything is pretty fair priced and the bartenders are wonderful. They maintain such a cozy vibe in there! Parking can be a bit hectic! They do have parking right behind Freeman's and on the street beside them. Go and see why Freeman's is rated so high!
I arrived here at 7:52pm on a Saturday night to meet a friend for dinner and drinks. I arrived first. A waiter had to clean off a dirty table. It is a small space but they do have outdoor seating. I ordered a water and app wings at 7:57pm and it came at 8:07pm. The wings were crispy and delicious. I dipped it in the sauce it came with, which I also enjoyed. After a few minutes, we ordered drinks. I got the b-cubed and my friend got a margarita. It took an average amount of time to arrive. The drink was different for me, but I enjoyed it. We ordered food at 8:25pm. I got the brisket entree with regular fries and my friend for the chopped brisket sandwich with waffle fries. The food came 10 minutes later, which was quick. I, personally, didn't like the brisket sauce but the brisket itself was good. I dipped it in the bbq sauce I got with my fries. I was expecting more than 2 pieces of brisket, however. My fries were hot and fresh. The table was small and they brought my brisket and fries on a separate plate when they could've combined it. While trying to make room, a piece of brisket I cut fell on the floor. I was so disappointed because it was the end piece that was charred. The staff were attentive and friendly. We had a male and female staff that attended to us. It was a pleasurable experience and I would return. They have a small parking lot and some street parking available too.
Love Freeman's! Service is always top-notch! I ordered my usual--Uncle Mike's Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich--and while the flavor was spot-on, it wasn't served hot. I am a self-proclaimed, "hot food snob", so when my food is served at room temp it puts a damper on my dining experience. That said, my brussel sprouts were hot, crispy and delish, and the sweet potato hash, just as yummy!! We were seated promptly, and our food arrived quickly. Despite the temperature hiccup, my experience was great and I'll definitely be back!
Freeman's occupies one of the distinguished positions in the Top 100, so when I was looking for a lunch option on a Sunday afternoon, it was an obvious choice to try. Freeman's keeps things interesting with seasonally rotating menus changing some of the featured items every few months. They also make their own infused liquors and special cocktails using them. I ordered their Ms. Frizzle cocktail which was made with Raspberry + Green Tea infused Beefeater, and it was a very tasty tangy lemonade type drink. While it was good, at $14 I thought it was a bit expensive, and I would have appreciated prices being listed on the menu rather than a surprise with the check. We started with salads, myself the Greek salad and my wife the Caesar. Both were crisp, fresh, and flavorful. They charged $4 extra to substitute the Caesar as the side with the meal, and $1 extra for the Greek as a side. I had the Bahn Mi Pork sandwich; it was a good portion and very flavorful. It was warm, with lightly toasted bread, and was filling. My wife had their special Coq au Vin flatbread and it was, in one word, disappointing. The flatbread was thin and soggy, and there was no way to eat that by hand. The flavor wasn't that good, the portion not filling, and for a $14 entree we were all around unimpressed. Overall, aside from the flatbread, the items we ordered were good and I would have them again. However, I was disappointed at how expensive the meal was. They also charge a 4% surcharge for using a card to pay, something not disclosed until you get the check. I generally dislike places with unclear pricing, so between no pricing on alcohol and adding a surcharge at the end, those were negatives. The food and atmosphere were mostly good, the service friendly, and the bar capable. Overall a good place but I don't see myself being a regular here.
We stopped at Freeman's on our way to Asheville, and really enjoyed it. I had the Autumn Salad and loved all of the ingredients! (I added jack fruit.) The service was friendly and prompt.

I love to get food from freeman's anytime the food is made fresh and so good I got vegan sandwich ( buffalo fried chicken ) ! Stopped in for a quick weekday lunch at the bar. The service was fabulous, as always. The crispy brussels were a delicious starter. It was a nicely sized portion for the 3 of us to share. All of our entrees were perfectly seasoned and all came out quickly. If it is too chilly to sit outside, get there early for dinner so you won't have to wait on a table. Parking can be a little tight. Their patio seating is great in the summer. Freeman's is a cozy local spot with great food! read more

Freemans is one of my favorite restaurants in town. Their food is such good quality. It's a super cozy place for the colder months with their fire place but also have a great patio for the warmer months. It's bar food but elevated. Servers are always attentive and friendly. Brody and I came here on our way from his game in Raleigh. The sandwich menu looked great so we both ordered the grilled chicken BLT with avocado and cheese. Brody ordered regular fries and I ordered waffle fries. While we were waiting for our food I noticed a blackberry cider on their draft menu so I decided to have one after trying a sample. It's my first time at Freeman's Grub & Pub, and I have to tell you, this place is amazing! The food is delivered fresh and hot. The service was phenomenal. The staff greeted us upon entering and provided great service. This place has a cool laid back vibe and is not too big. We had the honey chicken sandwich which was nice and big with good flavor. I added some Siracha to mine and it hit the mark. We also had the Banh Mi which was good but honestly like BBQ pork turned into Banh Mi. Ordered brisket plate, hush puppies and a Cuban. I had the Cuban, husband had the brisket. Only thing I didn't like is for the ham in the sandwich they used the stuff cured in salt that you can get at the grocery store in the unrefrigerated sectioned. Way too salty and tough. Took myself on a date and decided to come here. So many people have recommended this spot to me. It's actually on the 100 places to eat. It's small inside and has a very small parking lot. The staff is extremely welcoming and nice. I love their vibe. The menu is simple and can seem a little expensive. I had a grilled chicken sandwich. It's a shame I can't give this place higher than 5 stars. They can definitely throw down in the kitchen at Freeman's. This was an excellent meal. Absolutely adored our waiter Noah. He literally read my mind the entire service. Yes, I want the Brussels Sprouts. Yes, I want the Uncle Mike's hot honey chicken. Yes, I want the peach cobbler turnovers with Homeland ice cream and yes I want the recommended cocktails. The beauty of the Brussels Sprouts was the texture. The crispiness of the outer entices you to the tasty interior. The hot honey chicken was really smart. Pairing the crispy seasoned chicken with the slaw on the toasted bread dripped in honey was just a delight. The warm peach cobbler turnover was the best turnover I have ever had and I've had my share. The vanilla Homeland ice cream was delicious with the turnover. The cocktails were so good. The infused liquors separate their cocktails from others. Everything had an artful presentation. You could tell every ingredient was well thought out. I enjoyed this meal and especially the service.
