I've had their Granny (multiple times), Reuben, Ham/brie and fig jam (added bacon), wings (Thai Chili and garlic/parm), ordered several kids meals, eaten their brussels EVERY TIME!! I've never had a binget until my 1st order. They are now a MUST HAVE. We also LOVE the blueberry lemon cake but now I may be hooked on the gluten free chocolate cake. I don't leave many reviews but after multiple top tier meals which are fresh, full of flavor, and worth praising I decided to leave one. We really enjoy the variety and find it all fairly priced. An order of brussels easily feeds four but they've got it as a side; as well as mac n cheese and garlic/ parm broccoli and we really liked them all. You won't be disappointed. read more

I've been to Melt three or four times now, and overall I really like this restaurant. The last two times I've ordered The Mallory panini, which has grilled chicken breast, pimento cheese, mozzarella, and pickled onions. It's served with a creamy herb dipping sauce. The chicken is moist and tender, and the pimento cheese is tasty without being overly heavy on the mayonnaise. On this last visit, I got the panko fried cauliflower as my side and it was okay, not amazing. The breading was nice and crunchy but there wasn't enough flavor, even with the dip, so I wouldn't order this again. I usually get the brussels sprouts as a side, and those are a much more satisfying, delicious choice in my opinion. My husband ordered The Roast Beast panini this time - I had a bite with the au jus and thought it was excellent. I love when restaurants offer mocktails and Melt has a few on their menu. I tried the Blood Orange mocktail and it was unfortunately a bit too heavy on the lime for me. I wouldn't order this again. I find the atmosphere of Melt to be cozy and I love the lighting and decor. If you're looking for an unforgettable sandwich, Melt delivers. I ordered the Granny, and it was hands down one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The combination of turkey, creamy brie, onion jam, crisp apple, toasted bread, and maple Dijon sauce was absolutely incredible. The duck fat fries were just as impressive, perfectly crispy and a great complement to the sandwich. Even on a busy Friday night, the restaurant had plenty of seating with a short wait, and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. My sister and I went here on a Saturday afternoon and were sat immediately and greeted quickly by our server. The atmosphere is super chill and was a nice spot for a quick gathering. We ordered the Brussels sprouts which were phenomenal and a HUGE serving easily enough for 3-4 people. I ordered the ham and brie panini with a side of the dipping sauce from the granny, and my sister ordered the granny and we split it. The paninis were soooo soft but crunchy like you could hear the crunch when you bit into it. The dipping sauce though is what really made it. Personally I didn't like the French fries though. They are a duck fat fry but they weren't salted enough and I feel like they were too soft. I preferred them more once I took them home and threw them in the airfryer. This is really a place for paninis, but we got burgers. We = me and my son. We were going to see a concert nearby. The burgers and fries were a little bland but the Mac and Cheese was good and the beer was refreshing. The reason for four despite the negatives is twofold. One, it's a panini place and it wouldn't be fair to rate on something they don't specialize in. Shoot, we could have missed the best panini in the world and we don't even know it. If they had turkey, I would have had one. Two, the staff was excellent. Super friendly waitress, which helps a ton. I always put service #1, then food and atmosphere. Cleanliness isn't a factor because if it's dirty, no point in staying. The atmosphere was pretty cool. Small place with a good vibe. That said, my son was facing the restaurant and he said the staff kept going in and out of a room to whisper about something. Maybe there was some staff drama that day. Melt is a cute little gem in Greensboro. It has a different vibe than other restaurants in town -- a cozy and nice vibe! Service is solid and friendly! I like that they have a full bar. I tried a seasonal martini, sub tequila and my mom had a creamsicle (vodka). We both enjoyed them. To eat, we both had The Granny and we shared our sides of fries and Brussels Sprouts (these had a $2 upcharge). The Granny is SOOOOO DELICIOUS!! My mom has been to Melt now 4x and keeps getting this sandwich because it's just that tasty. It's quite big and she usually comes home with half her sandwich. This was my first time and it's the kind of sandwich that'll bring me back again very soon. The fries were very good and Brussels were delicious! We did order the chocolate, peppermint cheesecake to share. It was really a piece of chocolate cheesecake (with a yummy oreo crust), topped with mint and candy canes. Found this little gem on a Yelp search while in town for our granddaughter's soccer game and so glad we did! It's a cozy spot with the nicest people! The playlist was a whole throwback vibe and we loved it! My hubby had The Roast Beast with duck-fat fries and began to devour it before I could get a pic. His word for it, "magnificent." I had the Ham and Brie with duck-fat fries and my goodness was it delicious! The portions are very generous and the price points are spot on. The bar has daily specials as well, Thursdays are $6 glasses of wine. The Limestone Hill Chardonnay was very good and my husband had a rye old fashioned that was perfectly crafted. My cousin introduced us to this very popular local favorite and we were especially interested when she mentioned Brussels Sprouts . Over the years, we've sampled many versions of Brussels sprout salads and sides, But the version at Melt set a new "Brussels Sprout Benchmark" with an incredible array of seasonings and bacon. We wish we had ordered the full plate. Paninis: My wife raved about the Granny: turkey, green Granny Smith apple, onion jam, (pesto instead of maple Dijon) , brie, and mozzarella. She thought the addition of a little cranberry sauce would've made it perfect. I had the Ham and Brie: Black Forest Ham, brie, mozzarella, fig jam, and a creamy Dijon. Both Panini's were very hearty and generous portions. We enjoyed the multidimensional flavors. Oh yes, the Duck Fries were hearty and delicious. I've been meaning to check out Melt for their bottomless mimosa brunch, but I happened to be nearby around dinnertime and decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Ham & Brie panini--black forest ham, brie, mozzarella, and house-made fig jam--with a side of parmesan broccoli. I'm a big fan of fig and brie, so it sounded like a no-brainer, but the flavor didn't quite hit. The panini was warm with really good bread, but it was light on the brie and I could barely taste the fig jam, which was a letdown given that it was one of the main reasons I chose it. The broccoli side was unfortunately pretty bland--no seasoning, watery at the bottom of the dish, and topped with unmelted parmesan shavings. I sat at the bar, and while the food underwhelmed, the service made up for it a bit. The bartender was incredibly sweet, answered all my first-timer questions, and made me feel welcome. I didn't end up ordering a drink--cocktails were on the pricier side, and after spending $14.50 on a sandwich that missed the mark, I didn't feel like adding more to the tab. The location is tucked into a cute little business center with a stylish, darker-toned interior. I chatted with a couple of friendly regulars at the bar about brunch, and I'm really glad I did--they advised that if I ever come for bottomless mimosas, to come early. Apparently, the early brunch crowd is laid-back and fun, but it gets rowdy later in the day--so much so that they said the police have been called in the past. Very nice restaurant with good food and good service. I went in for lunch and was seated at the bar. I ordered the Duck Club which is one of their most popular items with a side of Mac n cheese. The sandwich has duck confit with bacon, caramelized onions, Gouda cheese and apricot jam. I don't think I like duck, or this sandwich just wasn't coming together for me. Despite all the items built into the sandwich the primary flavor was the meat and I didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped. The Mac n cheese was good. I will come back again and just try something different because they are obviously doing something right. I've been searching for places that have nonalcoholic beverages outside of just juice classified as mocktails. I've driven past Melt a few times and even had dinner at some of the places nearby, but never stepped inside to try them. I was pleased to see they offered Delta9 drinks. It's a new trend going around and since I'm not drinking alcohol, I was excited to try this. My friend chose the Blood Orange mocktail. I wouldn't say the service was the best, which is why I did not give 5 stars. I was told to choose my own seat and when I did, it took quite a while for anyone to come to my table. Once I was greeted, I was not told of any of the specials or that it was currently happy hour and small plates were discounted. We actually overheard another server telling their table which is how I found out right at 5:45 and it ended at 6. We had already ordered food at this point. The sandwiches we ordered were full of flavor and the portions were a good size. We both had leftovers and mounds of fries to take home. We opted for sharing the crab cakes as an appetizer. They were just okay. Maybe a little over-fried, but not bad. The Scarlett and the Patty Melt were our choices for dinner. Both were cooked perfectly and paired great with the duck fat fries. I have literally driven by this place 1000 times and constantly talk about trying it, but this last weekend was my first opportunity. I should've known the food and drinks were gonna be good based upon the amount of people waiting, but I was able to quickly get my name on the list, and my cell phone number, and go run another errand down the road to allow for about the 2030 minute wait. We were seated at exactly 31 minutes at a cozy table in the corner and quickly greet it by a very knowledgeable server, who gave us lots of opinions about the various options that we were considering on both the regular menu as well as the special brunch menu that they have on the weekend. One of the positives of the brunch menu was bottomless mimosas although I opted for a Malibu sunrise and my son opted for a peach ginger beer. We also had the cauliflower appetizer which was pretty good but laughed a bit of seasoning and the batter. And I am a person who will pour salt and other seasoning so when I say something needs salt, it needs salt. Onto our entrées my husband opted for the burger with the duck fat fries while I opted for one of the brunch menus, which was a giant biscuit with fried chicken, pimento cheese, bacon, and all the things and I opted for a side of the cheese grits. Even before the arrival of my food, our waitress indicated that it will be large, and I probably would not be able to eat it all and she was indeed right. Well, it was delicious. I ate about half of the biscuit two or three spoonfuls of the grits and I was stuffed but was able to bring both home to have the remainder of my meal for lunch the next day. Everything was awesome. Food was hot. Service was great ambience was good. The restaurant was busy, but the noise level was reasonable and we were able to get in and out with prices that are fair for the quality and amount of the food that you receive. I did get a little bit jealous as I saw several people with the bottomless mimosas, but maybe I'll save that for my next visit. Definitely a place that I would try again. read more

I love this place. The ambience, the service, food and drinks are all always on point! Freshly made food with some really good recipes. I can't say enough about the "almost famous" Brussels sprouts. They roast them to perfection and mix some really tasty ingredients: cranberries, capers, balsamic, nuts, and Gorgonzola. Sweet and savory for sure! This could be your main meal with a salad. Best anywhere, trust me. Even if you don't like brussel sprouts. My favorite is the Salmon BLT as a wrap. One person at the table got it on a brioche bun. The panninis are the best and plenty to eat. Take half of it home. Any of their salads are fantastic. The burgers are top notch and rival some of the best in Greensboro. Try the duck fat fries. Tasty and different. They always have a great drink menu. Tonight we all tried the sangria. Delicious and not overly sweet. Lots of fruity flavor and a good portion for the price. In fact all of the food is very reasonable for the quality. The restaurant is clean and has a great neighborhood feel. Small bar if you need to wait, but they move people through well. Casual. I would've given them 5 stars but very disappointed in the use of styrofoam for the leftovers. A restaurant of this caliber should know better. The cost is about .80 more for the reusable. I'll pay .80 more for my meal. Styrofoam will be around for a millennia All in all do not miss going here for a casual well prepared meal. read more

We constantly have a nice experience at Melt. We arrived around 3p and the restaurant was fairly busy. Even though they only had one person working the floor, she did a great job keeping track of everyone, offering good service, and staying pleasant. There was a bit of a wait today but when everything is made to order, that is to be expected. The food was very good, the restaurant beautifully decorated for the holidays with a touch of valentines added that wasn't over done. I only come to Greensboro occasionally now that I no longer live in the area, but it's nice to have at least a few spots we continue to enjoy when we are in town. There was a couple sitting a few tables away and it was clearly their first meeting. Melt is a great place to meet for that first date. read more

This is my first time actually eating at Melt because in the 4 years I've lived in Greensboro I have not been able to eat here due to very long wait times. After many times of trying to get into the place, my friends and I finally decided to wait for the hour. After an hour and a half, we finally got seated. Initially everything on the menu sounded amazing, specifically the brioche French toast that I was super excited for. Both my friend and I ordered the French toast and as soon as we got it we immediately both looked at each other in disappointment. The French toast bread was super hard, no moisture or flavor and tasted stale. Everyone else was enjoying their meals, so I got up to go talk to our waitress. The manager was standing there and I told him the problem, he was super friendly and immediately brought us another meal. We both ordered the Melts Big Nasty Fried Chicken Biscuit instead and it was delicious and came out fast. The manager was super apologetic and mentioned that they changed the brioche to sourdough and that it hasn't been good. I'm giving it a 4 stars due to the inconvenience of always having to wait long wait times to eat here and that they don't take reservations. As well as the taste of the French toast, although the manager was super amazing and brought us new food, I was really looking forward to having a good French toast. I enjoyed our time here, but I probably wouldn't come back due to how inconvenient it is to get a table. I hadn't been to Melt yet despite seeing it come up on my search for brunch in Greensboro several times - it's a little out of the way for me. We decided to take the extra few minutes to try it recently and were very happy with our experience. Despite no shortage of good restaurants in town, I've found it hard to find a good brunch - one of the few things Greensboro really needs more of. They were full but our wait time wasn't bad, and our service was very friendly. We enjoyed the Sunday special bottomless mimosas and our food came out surprisingly quickly for how busy they were. They have some Gluten Free options, including GF bread which they were kind enough to use in making GF French Toast for us. This isn't a menu item so they did make it on request but as always with off-menu items, be aware that your experience may vary. They were super friendly in helping us with this though. read more

I really wanted to try the duck fat fries but decided to get the Duck Club sandwich instead. It was really good and the fries that came with it are exceptionally well made, crispy and a lot of flavor. I splurged on the almost famous sprouts which were almost $15 and well worth the price. I ate all of them. My daughter just went for the kids chicken tenders meal and she was pleased. There was plenty of parking out front and the restaurant is a decent size so we didn't have to wait long to get a table. I have always wanted to come here and finally tried it! The interior is beautiful and clean. Very nice bar area with high top tables. We were greeted by 2 hostesses and were seated right away. We started with the duck fat fries. I am not a fan of duck but have had these in the past at other places. Unfortunately, these were greasy and I couldn't eat but only a few. The sauce it comes with is like a maple glaze honey mustard and is so good. Wish I had more crispy fries to pair them with. I got the Cyprus salad with chicken which was amazing! The flavors of halloumi cheese, red and banana pepper, and shallot vinaigrette were so wonderfully paired. It is a big portion so I recommend sharing. It comes with 2 pieces of panini toast that were perfectly toasted. My husband got the duck club panini which had good flavor with the grilled onions. I asked him to get the brussel sprouts as a side so I could have them. Omg! To die for! Definitely the best I have had. I ate them all and gave him half my salad. Melt is one of my favorite brunch spots. All the food has a fresh taste and a special twist. You also cannot go wrong with the bottomless mimosas which are truly bottomless.
