This is my bf's tattoo place when he wants ink. He's been friends with Mooch for years, and Mooch has done most of his work. (My bf is covered in tattoos). All of his ink looks solid. The staff were nice & welcoming but the service I went in for was kind a rip-off. I called prior to coming in to ask the price of a dermal removal. The guy on the phone was unable to quote me and asked for me to go in. At the end I was told to get my dermal piercing removed would be $20 when it only cost me $50 to get it pierced in the first place.. Not to mention it had been taken out for $5 at another place in the past. Long story short.. Instead of using a scalpel the piercer proceeded to pick out the skin around my piercing and now I'm left with ugly red scar/hole where I can totally feel the scar tissue around it.. Looks like I won't be able to get it redone now... Thanks their tattoo work looked nice but as far as piercings go... No thanks! read more

Do not go here for quality ink. Lamb chop took advantage of my wife and I when we were looking to get our first ink. Did one of the worst cover ups on my wife and didn't finish. Was suppose to cover up a melting peace sign and scarred her up pretty bad. Now the tattoo is just a black blob. He couldn't even finish my last name on my stomach. I wish I would of went to a real artist and not a black book sketcher. I'm sure the others at the shop are decent but I warn , don't go to lamb chop. I came here in 2009 on my 18th birthday. The person who checked my id looked like they were in a bad mood. I was pretty excited, I went in for a nose piercing and a little tattoo. I told them it was my birthday and finally being legal this is how I wanted to celebrate. I got a blank stare, and no happy birthday or anything. I thought it was kinda rude. I would think they'd want to be a little more engaging with their customers. This was my second tattoo, my friend did my first one. But this was my first one in a shop. So i didn't really know what to expect price wise. And didn't really do any research because a very close family friend recommended this place. And I trusted her. The experience of getting the tattoo was ok. There wasn't really any talking or anything. The guys were mainly just talking to each other. Me and my friend felt very awkward. They were making something I was very excited about, and completely took away my excitement. So my tattoo was a tiny cross on the back of my neck with some writing below. And when I say tiny I'm talking it was about 1/2inx1/2in. I got charged $80. And now that I have many more tattoos and much much larger ones. I now know that price was a rip off, and I feel like they did it just because I was just 18. So they took advantage of a situation. When I went back and told our friend what they charged me she was very upset. She was getting her entire back done by them and new everyone very well. She said I should get more added since it was so basic, but I didn't want to give these people anymore of my money. So now my piercing..I got my piercing right after I finished the tattoo. Honestly it was horrible. I let him know I wanted to put a ring in my nose and not a stud. He said I'd have to start with a stud and then I could change it. So I said ok and asked if the stud was going to be curved at all. He said no it doesn't need to be. So we began the process. He marked me and cleaned everything so we could begin. He did not pierce my nose first and then put my jewelry in. My stud was an L-shaped bar and the end was sharpened. He shoved that in my nose. It was the worst pain ever. And since my hole is straight and not curved at all, I can't put in a ring without going though major pain. Because the ring is curved and I'm trying to force it in a straight hole. So its like re-carving my hole if I want to try to put one in. I will never never never go back here. read more

So I had previously posted a review with five stars because how my tattoo looked after moochie fixed my tattoo. Looked awesome UNTIL the scab fell off and now I STILL have an uneven heart. My friend and I went in to get matching heart tattoos and my friends is perfect black and bold and mine is not even symmetric. After I got it done and realized how uneven the tattoo was I went back and he "fixed" it for free. When he fixed it it looked great and the lines were black but now that the scab has fallen off the lines from the first time are a totally different shade of black. If I wanted this heart to look better I would have to make it bigger and shade it in, which are two things I'm not doing. I got this tattoo about two weeks ago and already paid $200 to get it lasered off. I have gotten comments like "did your daughter draw that and you get it tattooed" or from other people saying "that's not a very nice tattoo was the artist on a good one" or "was he shaking when he did that". This was my first tattoo and let me say the worst experience of my life. I got this because there were great reviews well maybe there other work is good but simple tattoos like hearts aren't there speciality. Also when I went back to get it fixed the guys there acted like I was crazy and this heart was perfect, so here are some pictures because if you think this is good that's really sad. read more

Best tattoo experience out of 10 so far! Came upon this place after going to a few different parlors and being told it wasn't their thing basically. Stumbled upon this place and spoke with Kirk. He was really attentive and didn't second guess his ability to do what I was asking for. I made an appointment and he sent me a mock up a few days before. It was exactly what I wanted! The actual experience was awesome. I was very comfortable and he was really patient with my squirming since it had been a few years and I had all but forgotten the pain level. He freehanded some details I wouldn't have thought to ask for and the tattoo turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined. Most importantly he really made me feel like he understood how meaningful this piece was for me and absolutely did his best to make sure it turned out perfect I am thrilled with the end result and will most definitely schedule more appointments with him. Also my husband came back today from seeing AJ for a forearm piece and it turned out great. His experience was also purely positive. Mooch is my absolute favorite artist. He's easy to talk to, very open to new ideas and so willing to work with you. Some artists try to steam roll over your ideas, and I'm ever so thankful for Mooch. The shop is gorgeous with strong Chicano influence, but don't let that fool you. They are welcoming to anyone and everyone. I love how absolutely clean the shop is, AJ is also a very strong artist and I've had the pleasure of being tattooed by him as well. This is a family oriented shop.
