Laser tattoo removal review - heard about this place on someone's post asking for place recommendations for laser tattoo removal and slick vision was most recommended, so here we are for laser tattoo removal. Well, first time we went in to go inquire, we just wanted a quote, so the girl at the front helped us. She had to be the messenger and actually text the laser tattoo removal technician. Having the wife remove her exes names off her body lol yeppp, on more than one spot of her body, each side of her neck, big one across her chest, back of her right arm, back of her left calf, and back of left hand. So the girl had to take pictures of all the tattoos, send it over, and got our quote and appointment scheduled. Slick vision is located in Aiea. I went spock em coming down from Aiea heights drive, after eating at Aiea bowl, so it's straight ahead at the bottom of Aiea Heights drive. Parking is in the back where Sushi spot and El Miriachi is. Day of appointment came. We scheduled on a Saturday evening at 5PM. Wife went in, they went in the back. And she came back out in pain. Shout out to Heidi (I think that's her name) for being patient, nice, understanding, and professional. Wife said that she turned in to a cockroach laying on the table. Lol The laser treatment burns. It's basically burning off the tattoos. And still got more sessions to go. You have to let Heidi know if you just trying to lighten it, or completely off. Wife said that it felt worser than getting the tattoo, but faster than getting a tattoo. That's the experience. Got 2, 3, 10 more sessions to go! Don't book with Jayson Ramoran. just answering back to the owner Jason Ramoran response to my first review. 1. Jason did DM me back telling me he'll be a bit late. Jason was 50 minutes late to be exact. Then tells me I can go buy drinks or snacks, why would I do that if I'm here for my 10:30am appointment I ate and drank already I'm ready to get my tattoo going. But I responded with OK respectfully like anyone would. 2. Finally, he started doing his job around 12:30 drawing and talking to me about my tattoo. I then ASKED if it's OK for my girlfriend to drop me off food " mind you my appointment is at 10:30 am" in a bit he says that's fine then tells me just go eat lunch now and I can do the stencil I went to lunch for 25 minutes came back he was still not done. I don't know where this guy says I wanted "design to be custom and detailed (realism)" I just wanted a Mexican revolution leader with a Mexican flag waving above him, Jason then starts making his own, trying to do my whole forearm with a background behind the guy and saying he can't do the Mexican flag it's too small, but eventually we agreed on some design he made up that had a whole ton of background with sun and clouds and cactuses and desert. 3. Once the stencil was on I asked is it gonna be a couple sessions? He then says no I'm gonna finish this today. Me thinking I wasn't planning to be here 12 hours. Because he said he could finish by 10 o'clock PM, I then tell him I have to pick up my son at 5:30 I remind him. My appointment was at 10:30am and it's about to be 2 PM. Then he starts telling me he could've have other clients and that he has to charge me for his time "40 min worth of him, actually working with me about my tattoo. I obviously wasn't thinking he could finish that tattoo in three hours. That's why I asked if I was gonna take sessions. And I wasn't gonna pick up my son to drive all the way to MAKAHA to drop him off to drive all the way back to AIEA LIKE I HAD MY APPOINTMENT AT "10:30AM". 4. I was gonna reschedule, but he wanted to charge me $300 for 2 hours that was actually 40 minutes worth of him working with me. Mind you I already payed Jason $200 three weeks ago to schedule this appointment. I wasn't planning on canceling, but I also wasn't planning on my tattoo to start four hours late. And him barely working with me. 5. While he was, filling out a receipt he says I had a face which who wouldn't have a face when you're about to charge me $300 for waiting on the tattoo artist show up almost an hour late, then proceeds to eat lunch, and then has absolutely nothing of my tattoo and then starts talking to me about it 3 hours after my appointment. Then he stood up yelling, SO WHAT ,SO WHAT ,because his client had a face I don't know how this guy can own a business that works with people lol. 6. JASON is very unprofessional, and doesn't take accountability for his unprofessional actions. Instead, he likes to be right when he's wrong and just get's aggressive like a child when he's wrong lol this guys a joke. read more

Night before my appointment, I randomly decided to come on Yelp & double check the shop's address to make sure I know where I'm heading to the next day. I stumbled upon reviews of Tia not showing up or cancelling appointments, which I was highly doubting would happen to me considering the fact that my appointment was the next morning. Morning came, I receive a text from her 2 hours before my appointment explaining that she can't make it in today & offered to reschedule. Kinda was surprised it happened to me lol. I just declined & ended up just canceling the whole thing with her. Frustrated & bummed because I had this appointment booked since March. Despite the frustration, Tia was great at communicating with me. I kindly told her that I know & understand that the $50 deposit is non refundable but she refunded it to me anyways. I had an appointment with her that I had booked a month in advance and paid a $50 deposit. 30 minutes prior to my appointment, I was in the car about to leave when I got an email from her saying she had a "family emergency" and would reach out for a reschedule as soon as possible. It's been a couple days and haven't heard anything, and I'm leaving the island in less than a month for summer, and I don't have a lot of spare time to reschedule, especially if it's just going to be another waste of my time. Okay, I think it's only right that I give this place a proper review, due to the fact that they are a very newly opened business (opened March 1, 2020) and that I'm the one put them on to yelp. Yesterday, Friday 13th (probably the scariest day to be making permanent life choices lol.) Slick Vision was having a special which included 2x2= $30 tattoos, 3x3= $60 tattoos, and 5x5= $130 tattoos. Now anyone who has ever gotten a tattoo knows that this is a deal! I have a few tattoos already one of them being a tiny tattoo of my grandmother signature like literally the size of my pinky that costed me $60 elsewhere. So me and 2 other friends came in to take advantage of the deal they were having. Which we found out about through their Instagram page. When posting about the deal they never mentioned any type of restrictions (which I think was a mistake on their part) they basically said they be open from 10am and if you were in the door by 8pm you could get a tattoo for those prices. My friend came in before me around 2:30 and said he was actually the first person of the day that came in for the deal. He got his tattoo done by mike, which is the tattoo in the photo above the knee. Now this tattoo is easily $200-$300 somewhere else and when we measured it it's actually bigger then 5x5. His tattoo took roughly 2.5 hours to do and my friend was very happy with it. Now going back to why I think that having no restrictions was a mistake is because the customer can ultimately choose a tattoo that will take longer for the artist to do which is difficult when u have a lot of people coming in but only two guys in the shop tattooing. But I understand this is a new business so I know it will take time to work out the kinks, so next time they do a special like this I hope they have some restrictions for their sake. On to my tattoo I decided to get a rose with a mandala I researched what I wanted and saved a photo of it. The artist and owner of the shop Jason did my tattoo. I sent over the photo I had using air drop and he was able to get it into his iPad and printed it out and started drawing out the stencil. I wanted the tattoo on my sternum (very sore spot in between your breast). Now I have to be honest and say that there were times I felt uncomfortable just because there were bunch of people in the shop and well the location of my tattoo is in a revealing area. I wish they had curtains or something blocking off the waiting area, but this was my choice so I knew that this could possibly happen. Jason was did a good job with this piece it took him about 3 hours and he took a couple of breaks in between to use the bathroom and drink water. I was happy with the end results of the tattoo and yes it was painful in some areas. By the time I was done it was roughly 8pm and there were still 5-6 people waiting for tattoos. One of them being my 2nd friend who decided not to get one because we knew it was getting late and we didn't think that the Shop was prepared to stay open that late or have that many people, so he decided to come back another time and make an appointment, which was totally fine with him. We felt bad knowing that there were still a lot more customers for them to serve and it was already pretty late. I asked Jason what are they're usual hours and he said 10am- 10pm daily but knowing that 5 other people needed tattoos that would probably take a couple hours each, we knew they were gonna be there all night. Overall this place is very nice, everything is brand new and modern. Everything looked very clean and sterile. I watched the artist take time in between customers to clean their supplies and equipment. Both artist Mike and Jason were busting out tattoos all day so much respect to them, they're great at what they do and I'd recommend them to anyone. It doesn't look like they have a business phone to call just yet but I believe you can schedule appointments through their IG- Slick Vision or their personal accounts. I did schedule a appointment for March 26 with Jason, FYI deposits are required for appointments and go toward the total cost of the tattoo. I believe this can be a great business and it's already gotten a lot of attention on social media and I actually went to their grand opening and I'm excited to see this local business do big things! read more

It is so hard for me to write this review because the artist did such an amazing job on my half-sleeve. She also did work for my sister and I recommended many of my friends to go to her. That is why I felt inclined to give two stars instead of one. However, this time, I scheduled a session to finish the rest of my sleeve. I wanted the artist to do my tattoo so badly, I took off from work and opted out of a weekend outer-island trip for my friend's birthday. I confirmed the appt day and time with the artist the night before the appt, and she agreed. The morning of the appt, just a couple of hours before our agreed upon time, she had asked me to push the time back an hour and a half. I thought sure, why not. Then, some time passed and she had asked me to reschedule to another day due to not feeling well. I thought this was weird bc I was not given any notice prior to this. But I was like okay things happen, I understand. I'm really bummed bc I also just wasted an entire day off from work, but with COVID and everything I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. So the artist gives me two additional days as options to reschedule, 7/1 and 7/3. I immediately replied saying I can do 7/1 anytime after 12pm or anytime on 7/3. I did not receive a response from her til 7/1 saying we are good for 7/3 at 12pm. And then, here we are on 7/3... 12pm... I am at the tattoo shop. She does not show up. The shop owner texted her saying I was here, as did I. She texted her boss back that she does not have a client for this day and time. It is now two hours after my appt and I have not gotten any response from her, even though her boss said she would text me back. I wasted my time inquiring with her when I could've gone with another artist. I wasted my $50 deposit and was never shown the design. I wasted gas and time and money driving to the shop only for her to no-show. I wasted a day off from work. I also wasted money on a box of Purve donuts, which I ended up giving to the staff (they were supposed to be for her, but oh well). TLDR; my tattoo artist ghosted me and I ended up wasting a LOT of time and money. I'm honestly just really disappointed and would like to give others a heads up before booking with the artist. Very unprofessional, rude, and inconsiderate. read more

So I am not from Hawaii and I found Tia's social media and so I wanted to book an appointment with her In the time frame of me flying out to Hawaii, at first It was fine, we messaged throughout the month before I was going to fly out. Then comes the week I am here, & AFTER she gets my deposit she doesn't reply to my message then the DAY OF my appointment I kept messaging her and yet still no reply, I end up calling the store an 30 mins before my appt and he says she's not in she might come in and hr, my appt was at 10am and I called the store at 9:30 so that's already 1 red flag then I call again an hr after my appointment (11am) cause she still hasn't replied and then the owner still says she's not in let me contact her. She then FINALLY text me saying sorry what's your name as if we didn't make an appt a month ago I replied right away saying my name then she doesn't reply for almost an hr and it's already 12:30 so I end up canceling but I'm my head SHE NEVER MADE MY appointment or did my drawing so I wasted a full day in Hawaii on my vacation trying to message her, NEVER going to go through this again lesson learned read more

I had booked an appointment with an artist in April for June. Through the form I let them know the details of what I wanted and the communication was great at first. However, after I had sent my deposit I heard nothing back from the artist about the design process. Once it became closer to my appointment I reached out via text to the artist to see how the process was going, but to this day have received no response. About a week after I had texted, I also sent an email requesting to reschedule because I did not want to receive the tattoo without knowing the design first, and still no response. It was very upsetting as the artist posts on Instagram every single day, so I knew they were using their phone and just seemed to be ignoring me. I feel I got scammed for a quick buck. Nevertheless, these artists are very talented and I had been extremely excited to receive a piece from someone I had recommended many friends to go to, but I was very surprised at the lack of professionalism and communication on their part. read more
