We ordered: +the Mercury - made with 2 patties of grass-fed halal beef, yellow American cheese, caramelized onions, crunchy potatoes, Galaxy sauce, Rocket Sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions on a potato bun +Cosmic Fries - shoestring fries with house seasoning and Parmesan, served with a side of Cosmic sauce The burgers were described as 'smashburgers', so the patties were cooked all the way through (which I prefer!); the burger itself was actually okay, but there was something in there that made it taste slightly off - either it was the caramelized onions, the Galaxy sauce, or the Rocket sauce, there was something that was a bit too sugary/sweet; I think without this element, the burger would have been better! Maybe I'd ask for the sauces to be served on the side. The fries were okay - they did fill the styrofoam box to the brim and was generous in serving two cups of the Cosmic sauce; I think these could have been dropped fresh, as when we received them, they seemed as if they were prepared in advance and was sitting for a bit. (Updated rating) 7/6/23- had this spot on my list for a while and had to quickly move it up once I heard they were relocating to florida. The service was nice and friendly. I ordered online for takeout and got the Mercury combo (Mercury burger & cosmic fries) for 15$ and the Venus wings for 135. The mercury burger was by far my favorite item I had but i was expecting that it would be a little bigger with the price tag but I ain't mad at it, it was still a great burger nonetheless. The cosmic fries were below average and that could stem from the way the fries are made (shoestring style) but even then the seasoning on it was nothing special. The cosmic fries came with a cosmic sauce that was great and was a perfect addition to the burger. The Venus wings were solic with pretty good texture but ridiculously overpriced with a price tag of 13$ for 5 wings which is a scam, if you charging 15$ for wings they gotta be the best wings ever (they weren't). The Buffalo sauce that comes with the wings was definitely hot and the bba and ranch were decent. Wonderful food truck! The cashier was patient and calm, willing to answer any questions or even make some suggestions. Also, they brought the food out to us where there were small picnic tables to eat at right then and there. I got the Mercury combo and it was honestly the best burger/slider I've had in the DMV. Love this local food truck serving delicious burgers and fries! Tried it out for the first time on a Sunday night. The food truck is parked right next to the touchless car wash on Zetts Ave. I ordered the Saturn burger with the cosmic fries. The cosmic crinkle-cut fries came out fresh with a side of their cosmic sauce (kinda like an aioli). The burger, which was topped with a truffle mushroom mix, was amazing! The grass-fed beef patties were seasoned well and juicy and came with just the right amount of toppings. They have outdoor seating in front of the car wash entrance. I have been trying to get over to visit the Slider Rider food truck for months and today, I finally succeeded! Tucked back on the right side of Zett's Road, it is in plain view with all of the cute designs. The young woman who waited on me, couldn't have been nicer. She had a warm smile and was happy to accommodate any requests. The food is made to order, so it is hot and fresh when served. My favorite item menu was the fries, yes, I said the fries. They are crisp, hot, fresh and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. They were bursting out of the container, so you could easily split an order with a friend. But, fellow Yelper's there is a dipping sauce, that is out of this world. Definitely, cosmic in taste and I couldn't stop dipping. I even dipped my hamburger in some. Next time, I am ordering a quart of their secret sauce. It is delicious! Now, to the burgers. First, you can't help but admire the cute brand logo design on their hamburger rolls. It is the cutest. I ordered the Saturn burger and the Mercury burger. Both burgers have cheese, lettuce, and 2 meat patties. The Mercury burger has an American cheese and a thin crispy onion topping. I actually liked this one best out of the two. The Saturn burger has mushrooms, which I love, cheese and a special sauce. I don't know if it was the cheese or the sauce, but it reminded me of a blue cheese or Roquefort cheese and it had a strong flavor, that I didn't really enjoy. The burgers were well cooked. I think the addition of a slice of tomato or pickle, might help to break up the richness of the burgers. They definitely helped fix my burger cravings. I've died & gone to heaven on a burger buzz! My husband said he may never get burgers anywhere else. I think I agree. The burgers are phenomenal! We got all 3. The Mercury was my personal favorite- the crispy onions are light & delightful. And the Rider sauce? Love it. I'm not a fan of fat 8oz patties everyone serves so these thin babies are perfect for me. They have a nice char which is flavor people! And ordering is so easy online. One way we rate a place is, did we visit the place two days in a row? We stopped here on a Thursday and stopped by again the next day. What caught our attention was the designs on the food truck... simple and adorable. The owners were so pleasant. You can order at the truck there or order online. When the order is ready, they will bring it to your car. There is a picnic table by the food truck if you want to enjoy your food outside on a nice day. The menu is not big, but they certainly do it well. We have tried the Saturn burger, Mars burger, No Joke Buffalo wings, BBQ wings, and cosmic fries. The burgers were delicious and flavorful. Prices are good ($16 for a combo) and the food doesn't take a long to come out, even with their 2 person staff. What stands out about Slider Rider? Everything. It's amazing food served by the friendliest people, which is enough on its own, but it's also so easy to order online and pick it up 15 minutes later. Everything here is delicious, but I've got a special love for their Neptune chicken sandwich, which is one of the best things you could ever hope to eat. It features a comically large piece of perfectly marinated chicken grilled expertly and put on a pillowy soft branded bun with rider sauce, lettuce, American cheese, and crispy onions. It's so good I eat it every week and despite the fact that I KNOW I love this sandwich, it exceeds my glowing memories of it every single time. Sooooo good. All of the burgers here are fantastic too, all made with quality meat and with real skill and care by people who know what they're doing. I particularly love the crispy onions on the Mercury, but any of these burgers are the best for many miles around, and have spoiled me for burgers anywhere else. The same can definitely be said for their fries, because those Cosmic Fries are indeed out of this world, if you'll allow it (I understand if you won't.) The cook on them is exactly right, leaving them crisp and never oily, and the seasoning and parmesan add a lot. In all the love for everything else, don't miss out on the wings! The hot sauce on them is indeed spicy, and there's also a barbeque option where the huge, perfectly crispy wings get slathered in a delicious, thick, sweet, smoky and rich BBQ sauce that is excellent (and something I'll be getting again soon). I kept seeing pictures of their food all over my social media feeds, mainly through some of my friends who follow them, and then saw their name again within the same week, but this time on Yelp's new businesses page & I took this as a sign to come try them for myself. They are pretty easy to find since they announce their weekly schedule online at the beginning of the week. You just have to keep your eyes peeled for their specific location, and the easiest way to do that is to follow their social media pages. I've tried pretty much everything on the menu, and I think these are hands down the BEST burgers I've had in a while. Not only are the burger patties juicy & flavorful, with cheese oozing between each layer, but the buns are soft & their signature sauces are so tasty. I think the heat-branded logo is a very nice touch (I'm a sucker for branded burger buns). Although it's hard to choose an absolute favorite among their innovative creations, I have to say the Saturn and the Neptune take the prize for me. The Saturn is a burger with mushrooms/creamed mushroom, onion mix, white American cheese, Rider sauce, and lettuce. Take it from someone who likes mushroom & swiss burgers, I can say this was PERFECT. The Neptune is also a solid choice, as the grilled chicken breast is a big portion and they do an amazing job keeping it tender. This one also had the Rider sauce on it with cheese, but it was topped with crunchy potatoes. The crunch you get from these is so satisfying lol. I'd also highly suggest ordering Cosmic Fries (house seasoning & parmesan) with your burger. They're perfectly crispy and the Cosmic Sauce just makes them even more addicting. I feel like i'm tossing the review in as they prepare to leave for Florida in a month permanently, but here it is. I only found out about this place a week before the article in the Washington Post say its leaving. So i had to try this place before they pick up and leave. I got the Saturn Burger, which is very similar to the truffle burger from smashburgers in Rockville. My impression is that Smashburgers is slightly larger as there's a double patty burger which cost about the same as their Saturn burger. Comparing the two, they are VERY close, but i think flavor-wise, the Saturn burger edges out ahead. The Cosmic fries were good with the sauce, but I didn't find that anything really stood out with the fries. I found them comparable again with smashburger's fries. I will have to come back and try their other burgers before they leave permanently. I compare them with Smashburgers, only because these two burgers are very similar. The one thing smashburgers has that's better is an indoor seating area as well as a soda fountain. read more

I separate my reviews into three parts: Food, atmosphere, and service. My rating is averaged from the three categories based off a 1-10 scale. Food: 8/10. I think these hamburgers are really good. The patties have a clean, smoky taste to them and you can tell that a lot of care goes into assembling the burgers. I had the Mercury burger which has crunchy potatoes and caramelized onions that add that extra oomph in flavor and texture when combined with their rocket sauce. Atmosphere: N/A. This is a food truck so I will omit this section of the review. Service: 9/10. The service was slightly on the slower side. I was in the Gaithersburg, MD area and was looking for a quick halal bite, yelped them and saw great reviews, decided to try. Excellent service, clean place, Truck was parked on a corner and there was out side seating picnic area, good food but a bit expensive for the portion size.
