Today, Eric, from Sliding Door Pros came to my house to fix the original sliding glass door from when this house was built...1978. The door needed new rollers, as it was coming off the track, including the track itself was worn down. The door also had come off the track from the top. The lock also was broken. Eric was able to fix everything!! He put in new rollers, put new stainless steel rod cover over the old worn out track, and fixed the lock. When he put the new lock on, I requested a handle on the door so I could easily grab it to open and close the door. The door did not have a handle on it before. Eric also had all the parts on his truck, so nothing had to be ordered. He was fast, accurate and efficient with fixing the sliding glass door. He pretty much did the job within 45 minutes. Eric was also kind, and courteous, and patiently answered any questions I had. The customer service persons on the phone when I set up the appointment yesterday were very courageous and nice, too. I am very happy with the work that was done. It's like I have a new door. And, just like they advertise, I can now slide my door easily with just one finger. Technician Eric arrived on time and resolved the issue in under five minutes without replacing any hardware or parts. The window was simply off-track and needed to be removed and placed back in on the proper track. Despite the minimal time and effort required, he quoted $300. I explained that this seemed unreasonably high given other companies' quotes included special-order parts and labor for the same price. He then offered a 10% discount, bringing the total to $270 for what amounted to a simple manual adjustment. He advised that had hardware needed to be replaced, it would've been roughly $600. While communication, punctuality, and workmanship were good, the pricing for such a minor repair felt excessive and out of line with industry expectations. Hands Down worst Company I have done business with, in years. December 26th a friend accidently walked through my sliding screen door and ripped the screen and destroyed the frame. These screens and frames were custom made for my doors and are of solid construction and quality. Spent an hour on the phone getting someone to show up but "GUY" was there within 90 minutes Bravo. He said He didn't think the screen could be repaired but a new one could be ready in 1 week for $385.00 including a new frame. I paid him $200.00 ZELLE and he took my old screen with him that day. 1 week later when I am awaiting the screen to return I get a call from the office that not only is the screen not ready, they tried to repair other one, and guy Misquoted the price on my screen as it is a special frame and screen NO KIDDING! They went on and on about how costly it was then said ok were going to eat the difference give us a few weeks to make a new screen. Aside from the time frame I'm ok at this point. Monday this week now 3 weeks later, Guy shows up with the screen and it doesn't roll, nor does it fit and he states it has to go back to the shop for adjustments. Finally, Thursday he brings the screen door back and it is a flimsy frame, with already ripped screen coming out one side. Not only that it is uneven there is no weather stripping or buffer to keep critters or bugs from going right behind it. In short it looks like it was made in a home garage by a novice. I swear to you I've never seen anything quite like it. You truly can't make this stuff up. I am beyond livid at this point and get the phone yesterday and they begin to tell me well, we told you originally the screen was misquoted, and this is what you get for $385.00 before I exploded, I said you have two choices give me my deposit back, come get your screen and bring me my old screen or I'll see you in court. They promptly refunded me my $200.00 told me to keep their screen as my screen was destroyed by their warehouse. I am just happy to get my $ back but am furious that I don't have a point of reference for the new company I hire to explain exactly what I had previously. This is an absolute joke of a company and anyone who does business with them beware at your own risk is all I can tell you. STAY AWAY! read more

SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM - Buyers beware!!!!!!!! For starters, I am not ones and do not have the habit of leaving reviews. However, based on my experience encountered with this company, Sliding Doors Pro this is a warning to you ALL. Originally, I've contacted "Sliding Doors Pro" for an estimate after seeing positive reviews on Yelp. The estimate came within guideline with slightly cheaper from others for a sliding door glass door replacement repair. The estimate was $500-$600 per their office manager, Gail so I've agreed to having their tech come out to take final measurements of the glass. The tech, Shai, "subcontractor" showed up in a small KIA (which i didn't know at the time) to take measurements of the door. Of course, after seeing the door, Shai advised the cost for the glass will be $775 instead of the quoted price. Shai also quoted me for replacement of 2 rollers at $180. He was very nice and said won't charge me the labor. I agreed to the quote since I'm speaking with him while at work. I also agreed to the deposit so I can get everything repaired on the return visit. Meanwhile, Shai insist and persist to repair the rollers the same afternoon. I later learned the real reason of his persistence. Even though replacing rollers on the door is straight forward and should take approx 30 mins, the tech arrived at 2pm to do the job and later I've received a call back at 5pm. Instead of having the rollers replaced and completed, the tech advised he made a mistake on the price of the glass. Instead of $775 quoted, it will be "at least 3 Xs more." Reason?? "it's a special glass door." (I guess my older sliding glass doors have become so technical and advanced. The tech is trying to convince me that a piece of glass will now be more than $2200.) Wanting to see the face of a scammer, I rushed home at 6pm hoping that he will still be there to really see how he intended to pull this scam. To my surprise, my sliding door is on its track without the side frames after 4 hours since he arrived. Here is the best part. The tech told me that he cannot put it back together so both sides of my door will remain opened. Not interested of being scammed over a simple sliding door, I jumped in and got the door off its track and assembled the frame back onto the glass. Granted, most people and older folks in Boca will never be able to do what i've done and simply gave into such extortion. The door was finally assembled at 9:30pm since 6pm. Why and what took so long? Reason: the tech was completely unaware and fighting with screws that would not go into the slides on the rollers. After making attempts myself, I discovered that the "PRO" have been using the wrong size screws the entire time that is impossible to fit into the hardware while trying to pull a scam for thousands of dollars. Since I was beyond livid having to spend 3 1/2 hours to work on a sliding door i paid him $180 for the parts. Yes you can buy the same parts online or Homedepot for $25 each. I am 150% certain, the tech is no "PRO" and nowhere near mechanical incline for the job. However, he was rather good at scamming. I paid just so i would not have to see the face of a scammer any longer. The scammer even offered to give back my $180 and asked if I would not leave negative review online. This is not a negative review. Rather, this is a fact/actual experience. It's amazing after getting caught from scam attempts, they want to cover it up. Because this is too lucrative for them. I did call and texted the office manager to address the issue after learning about 3Xs the cost earlier the same day. Despite requesting to speak with the owner, no one ever called me back. Here is the best part. Based on my conversation with the Office Manager, two days before the tech visit, Gail clearly stated that the job is simple and straight forward. The variation on the costs of the dual pane glass is really insignificant and rightly so for a sliding door thus the range of the job will be $500-$600. Here are some more facts learned: 1) Sliding Doors Pro is not a registered business in FL. 2) They collect service calls while sounding professional over the phone and then assign sub-contractors to collaborate on pulling off scams with inflated costs. 3) Leaving homeowners' work unassembled and incomplete, keeps the owners vulnerable so they can execute their scams. 4) Using personal vehicle (KIA) with magnetic sign stuck to the side of the door is not a sign of any professional. Lesson: Before anyone comes out to work on your homes, check and verify their company background. Ask for their license/tax ID # and get a copy of the tech's ID with full names and insured! I really don't know how these people sleep at night but at least let me try to help save a few from getting scammed by sharing my personal experience here. I will be contacting the authorities for further investigation on this group. This is just not right! read more

Referred to this company by Facebook ad. Called on Saturday afternoon and surprised that I got a call back on Sunday. The lady on the line said that she had someone available to come by today between 1pm-3pm. I said let's do it! I received a text from the tech Leo advising he was in route and would be at my home sooner than planned. Perfect! When Leo arrived he was very friendly and told us what he felt the problem was with our sliding glass door. All by just opening and closing the sliding door himself. He saw the potential issue with the locking mechanism and the way the sliding door was affecting the frame all due to a bad old roller. Leo quoted a fair price and said he could do the work right away. He was contracted on the spot and immediately went to work. Within 30 mins. the job was done. He replaced the rollers and showed us the reasons why we were complaining about our door not sliding correctly. Leo was even cool enough to let my wife clean the bottom of each frame before he put them back in place. Leo shared what we should be doing to keep the rail clear and workable for the sliding door to continue in its now gliding movement.
