Highly Recommend!!! SLO Endodontics was the most professional, comfortable medical office I have ever been to. I would highly recommend this office and Dr Pandez. He really listened to my issue, thoroughly explained my options, and even personally called to check on me after my procedure. It was painless and faster than expected. DR. Pandez got me in right away, same day as he wanted to allow time before my trip to allow healing . His entire staff were professional, kind , and explained each process as we went along . Dr. PAndez continually checked with me regarding possible pain while procedure was going on and showed great care throughout the process . I join the other 5-star ratings. Dr. Pandez did my root canal and it was like a walk in the park. No pain! The room where he does the procedure (under a microscope) has an almost floor-to-ceiling window so the room is filled with natural light and you can see outside. I hate those exam rooms with no windows. If you have Delta Dental he is in the network which reduces your out-of-pocket by about $900 compared to out-of-network Endos. The only recommendation I would make to Dr. Pandez is that when he greets the patient to take off his surgical mask. I could be seated next to him at a burger joint and wouldn't know who he was. He called personally a week or so after the procedure to ask how I was. That's always nice. read more

I was referred to Dr. Pandez by my dentist when I needed a particularly difficult root canal re-treatment for a front tooth. I was a little worried because he was a lot younger than the other endodontists in town, but considering their previous lack of quality service, and my dentist's enthusiasm about Dr Pandez's quality of care, I was willing to give him my trust. Since then I have had several occasions to have Dr Pandez work on my mouth. Every time he has been friendly, the staff have been very friendly and helpful with making appointments, even working extra hard to get me in the same day with my regular dentist for a crown after the root canal on my front tooth, which was not a good look to go a week without. The bottom line is: after a failed root canal with Dr Marcum, his predecessor, I am now back at SlO Endodonics... as long as it's Dr Pandez doing the work! He's got the latest equipment and technology, including 3-D x-ray/CT machines, and other highly precise instruments for diagnostics and performance of root canal and apico procedures. Pandez has a light touch with giving numbing medications, so I didn't feel the shots much at all. You wouldn't believe how many dentists don't know how to give basic painless injections by just going a bit more slowly instead of jamming it in fast!!! Dr Pandez was willing to try and save a tooth, previously root canaled by Dr Marcum, that failed. He was able to do a surgery through my gum, called an "apico", to get into the infected root canal from the tip of the root, clearing out the infection there, and backfilling the root. It took about 4 hours because it was not an easy job, but he didn't charge me extra or get rushed and irritated to get to his golf game, which was my previous experience with Marcum. He took his time and finished calmly and easily, and even put in a couple extra stitches when he thought the incision needed a bit more support in the back. What a difference between Pandez and Marcum!!! I don't know, but I get the sense he doesn't play a lot of golf or travel to African countries to kill lions in preserves... he values his patients and considers that we may be intelligent and do a lot of research before we come in. Dr Pandez does a little wiggle that makes you not feel the needle or the painful numbing medications going in... even when you know it's happening! And throughout the visit, he sits and actually looks me in the eye to explain what the options are, and answers any and all of my many questions. He actually considers my suggestions carefully before he tells me something is impossible, and I appreciate that a lot in a doctor of any kind. I won't be going to any other endodontist in this area from now on. Dr Pandez is the best for my needs. read more

My dentist recommended me to an out of network endodontist, but I called my insurance and they gave me Dr. Pandez. I called and scheduled an appointment. To my surprise they said they could do the x-rays/consultation and the root canal all in the same day if I wanted. I was already in pain and over my tooth sensitivity that I said I would like to do that. They got me in within a couple weeks but I had to reschedule because I got sick. The front office staff were great. They were able to reschedule me. The day of my appointment, they called and asked if I could come in early. I was already on my way, so I told them I would be there soon. Once I arrived, the front office staff greeted me and by the time I was done filling out my paperwork it was time to go back. The Doctors assistant was really sweet and made me feel comfortable. When Dr. Pandez came in the room he explained everything to me. I told him I was nervous because this was my first root canal. He made sure to explain every step of the process. He also checked on me constantly during the procedure to make sure I was okay. I was so comfortable I could have taken a nap during the procedure. I felt like I was in good hands and that I could trust Dr. Pandez. I didn't feel anything but a little jaw pain every now and then during. After the procure, I didn't have any pain. It's been a few days now and I feel great! I am finally pain free and can eat on my right side. I was avoiding eating on this side for a couple months due to pain. I am so glad I went to Dr. Pandez. He is amazing and his team is great! If I need anymore root canals (hopefully never again) I will definitely go back to Dr. Pandez. He also called me the next day to check on me. I I had 2 root canals back to back a few years back when the endodontist doing the procedure performed the root canal on the wrong tooth, then immediately performed the procedure on the correct tooth. Needless to say, I was terrified when my current dentist informed me I needed another root canal on that tooth. Dr. Copp suggested I see Dr.Raymond Pandez to do the procedure. I had both physical & mental reactions when I again entered the office. When Dr. Pandez confirmed that I indeed needed another root canal, it took me months to muster up the courage to schedule the procedure, but I did. I am so grateful for Diane's patience as she talked me through my fears as I struggled to make the appointment. Dr Pandez and Gina were the best as they discussed everything that was going to take place and explained things as they happened. Even the initial injections to numb the area were not painful. Really, no joke. I experienced no pain during the procedure, and just a bit of discomfort for a day or two after. To say my root canal was simple would be an understatement. Even though I was very anxious about it, worrying about the pain, I had an excellent experience with Dr Pandez. Between the headphones to play my soothing music, the dark glasses to keep the bright light out of my eyes, and the kindness from his chair-side assistant, I felt relaxed and taken care of. The only pain I experienced was the brief numbing medication. The procedure itself did not - even once - cause me any pain. He is a consummate professional, as is his staff.
