When I told the staff about the hole on the wetsuit, he said that's ok as long as there's not a lot of water coming into it. I don't know how they managed to surf without having water coming in. The equipment was not useable and the owner not only refused to refund, but also shown aggressive and unfriendly attitude. Oh and by the way, it's really pricey to rent from here. Overall really poor experience. Do not recommend. There are many other better rental shops out there in pismo.

After I change into my new suit and put my items in my new purse (that I also purchased), I noticed the tag was still on the purse so I went to get it cut off. I then got accused of stealing the bag because the sensor was still on... how was I supposed to know that?! I then got a half-assed apology from the employee who FORGOT to take the sensor off. I questioned her saying that I found both in the $15 bin, and she told me I was wrong and they were in the 30% off section. My boyfriend chimed in at this point and made a remark about that being false advertising, and the lady said, "no it's not." At this point I just told her I no longer wanted it and we left. However reflecting on this I know she was probably trying to scam me as even with a 30% off discount the top and bottom would not have been $79. Honestly don't shop here, it's overpriced and a waste of your time.

The Wife and I were in Avila for my birthday week. We decided to rent some bikes to take on the…read moretrail that leads out to the Avila Barn. I ended up picking e-bikes and The Wife was terrified. She said, "If one of us dies, I'll be so mad at you!" She really did say that. We waltzed into the bike shop, in the group of shops right off Front Street. Easy peasy. The gentleman running the place was super nice and answered all of our questions and gave us some options to choose. We looked around and picked a couple of bikes that looked like standard, step through beach cruisers. I skipped the helmets, just to mess with The Wife. The nice dude went through the operating such as throttle, brakes, kick stand, turning on/off, etc... We were ready to cruise the open highways, wind blowing through our hair as we sped helmet-less, laughing and yelling at people. We really didn't yell at people, or go on the highway, or speed. We did laugh and have a great time while not going more than 10mph! Ha! We were both a bit shakey to start, as we had not ridden any type of bicycle in some time. It was just like a pedal bike and in fact we peddled quite a bit and used the throttle for some of the small hills just to make it easier. We had a great time and when we returned the bikes, yet another nice dude met us and checked in the bikes. We hung out and chatted for a bit before venturing off to find some cocktails to sip by the beach. Oh, and on the way home The Wife said that she had a great time on the e-bike and maybe we should look into getting some. Huh? OK... Go! Ride Wild!! HAVE FUN!!!
