We were helped by Clover as soon as we walked in, she answered every question and was patient with our indecisiveness while choosing jewelry. She explained the post care in great detail that even a 4 year old can do it. Raven was the one who did the piercings. She has steady hands and made sure we felt comfortable. I cannot say enough good things about my experiences here! It's a tradition of mine to get my ears pierced every year for my birthday, and I've gotten 4 cartilage piercings here. Fernando completely sets this place apart. It's so clear how passionate he is for doing this work WELL and takes piercing seriously, something a lot of shops don't seem to do (stay informed y'all). Fernando is super skilled, and made me feel comfortable and informed throughout the process. I appreciate that he works to get it the way I want but uses his expertise to create the best look and/or healing experience. (For ex, I wanted the snake and stud switched but he let me know the snake would probably catch on my hair a lot and make it a painful recovery. I'm so grateful he told me because hair catching on jewelry hurts a LOT. A few of my piercings struggled in their recovery (my own fault haha), and the procrastinator I am put off visiting Fernando about it. Of course when I did, he switched out the post and the healing process took a 180 turn and I had relief from that day forward. He knows what he's doing -- listen to him about taking care of it and especially downsizing!! Also just have to throw in that he's super generous, a few months after getting my piercing one of them came off in the shower and I stepped on it, bending it. Raven was AMAZING! She made me feel so comfortable and at ease. She talked me through every step and encouraged me to ask questions along the way. Right away I felt safe and that I could trust her expertise. I appreciated how easy it was to find parking considering the studio is in the downtown area. Inside was clean and quiet. Having limited people there, by appointment only, made it a more relaxing and intimate process. It was pricey in my opinion, but worth the quality! Years ago when I first got something other than an ear piercing, I had insane issues with healing. I followed directions and ended up having to remove my nose piercing & belly button piercing because they just would not heal. I had better luck when I got my forward triple helix (at another place) but a week after I got my piercings the jewlery fell out. By the time I could get to see that piercer, I needed a new piercing and new jewlery but somehow it was not placed correctly and bothers me! Finally, I found Chavez by referral and he takes his time, makes sure everything is what you want, and my piercing have healed so insanely well that getting ready for 2 more! *also? Making an appointment online was a breeze. I finally got brave to schedule an appointment for a nose piercing with my friend. We both were able to book on a weekend day with back-to-back appointments. Easy to find with a parking lot which eased my nerves, because who wants to worry about finding parking when you're already a little nervous about modifying your body?! Anyhow, walked in and was instantly greeted by a very friendly gal. She showed the jewelry choices (which were VERY nice --a little pricy, but worth it in my opinion) and explained the process. When it was time, brought back to a private room where our piercer Raven went over the procedure again with us. She made sure to ask questions, such as if we would be wanting to change to a hoop in the future to ensure proper placement. She took her time and made the whole process relaxing. She never broke sterility and coming from working in the medical field myself, these are things I notice. I had a very bad experience with a different studio and ended up having to remove two of my piercings, so I was hesitant to go through the piercing experience again. But I booked an appointment with Slo Piercing to get my nose pierced and it was so quick and painless. My nose healed quickly and I was soon back for another piercing and once again the process was so easy, clean and quick - I barely noticed any pain. Yesterday, I went back for my third set of piercings from this lovely, amazing group of people, and I cannot say enough about how grateful I am to have found such a safe place to be pierced! Took a trip to SLO to visit my best friend and two of us in our group felt adventurous and decided we wanted to get piercings. We found this place off of Yelp and we couldn't be more happy with our purchase / piercing! My friend got a cartilage piercing and I received a conch piercing. The process was fast, clean and we were able to walk in! (They usually are booked with appointments). Chavez was super patient, nice, gave the best recommendations and answered all of the questions we had. They charged us $55 for the piercing itself and however much the jewelry cost. So I spent more than $100, but they did include the cleaning solution needed for aftercare. My new piercing looks great and I can't be happier! read more

Was a horrible experience. From the jump, the female piercer was so rude. Absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever and was rude to my entire family. She said we made the nose piercing appointment wrong and made us feel bad for it, she snapped at her coworker behind her which was so uncomfortable, and the website needs to mention clearer that the jewelry is sold separately at an 18k gold price. We left with no piercings and a 60 dollar cancellation fee. I'd understand a cancellation fee at that high of a price if we didn't show up on time or didn't show up at all, but we showed up on time and there was no one else in the store. Don't come here unless you want to spend an unreasonable amount of money with a side of unfriendly piercers. Edit: In response to your reply, a cancellation means I didn't show up or I canceled the appointment beforehand. Your website even clarified that. We showed up and weren't satisfied with the highly expensive pricing and lack of professionalism. We did not feel comfortable proceeding with Raven. At the end of the day, it boils down to customer service and respect. I would request that you refund my 60 dollar fee because we did not cancel per your policy. Please respond publicly so this doesn't happen to any customer. read more

At 41 I decided to it was finally time to get my third ear piercing as well as my cartilage pierced. My 21 year old daughter went with me and did the same.
