I came in to get my cartilage pierced. This store charges for the piercing and then each earring as well. I only got one earring before leaving, which was done perfectly and I'm very happy with it, but then I changed my mind an hour later. I'm not sure if the guy who pierced my ears was the owner or not, but whoever he was, he's a chiller. I called back and asked if I could come back to get two more piercings (which I had debated about before but decided not to) and he said that I'd only have to pay for the earrings rather than paying the full fee. He was super nice, held nice conversations while piercing my ears, and seemed to really know what he was doing. I would highly recommend this store, it's worth the price for sure. Amazing people and service! I only got two of my older piercings replaced and I was met with very kind and hospitable service!! I was talking to the guy replacing my piercings, which he did in a very sanitary, sterile manner, and it turned out he's the owner! Not only that, he had learned the trick of the trade from his father, who opened the first tattoo shop in Clovis, CA. But more on the experience, I was very well informed and he made sure I knew exactly what he was doing every step of the way. I was recommended by a friend to come here for nipple piercings because of how great of an experience she had getting hers done, and I'm so glad I listened!! Firstly, the shop itself is very clean and just has really calming vibes. I was pierced by Chavez, and he did a wonderful job. I was really nervous walking in, but he was so calm and kind that the calmness sort of rubbed off on me. Lol he showed me my jewelry options, and was very open about the costs and what my total would be depending on the jewelry I picked, which I greatly appreciated. He gave me a complete rundown on how the piercings would go so I was mentally prepared. He locked the front shop door which I appreciated SO much because it is ultimately a private area I was getting pierced so I was grateful for the secured privacy. Chavez marked me while standing so the piercings would be even, and then had me lay down for the piercing process. He went over a breathing exercise he likes his clients to do to make sure I was comfortable with it, and it helped IMMENSELY! He verbally walked me through every step so there were no surprises. Afterwards he was very through with aftercare and made sure I knew what my following steps would be. Chavez was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I got my flat and my second conch, and two other cartilage pierced, I had brought with me a piece I was hoping to use (just the front of the jewelry) , he autoclaved it and helped me pick a good placement for it (the flat) all of the piercings healed fantastically and I was able to eventually change the two cartilage into an orbital like I had wanted! I came in to get a cartilage piercing last year and it ended up being the worst piercing i've ever had. I'm not going to blame the piercer 100% because my ears are sensitive so it can't be controlled but my request for a 14K gold piercing was simply not met. When i booth the stud i was told it was 14k but when i saw the post i was skeptical because it was surgical steel. I offered to use some jewelry that my ears have healed with multiple times before and was turned down for safety issues even though the earrings were going to be sanitized anyways. I was assured that my ear would heal well with surgical steel and trusted it. IT DID NOT HEAL WELL. 9 months of constant pain no matter what i did to try and relieve it. Bleeding and keloids on both sides. So bad it was insane. When i went in 10 months later I begged the piercer to take it out and replace it or just take it off and i would get a new one else where. I was told that he wouldn't remove it because it wasn't healed which he determined by grabbing the stud and pulling on it which hurt like hell because it wasn't healed. I tried to explain my problem but was ignored and told to come back when it was healed. I ended up getting it removed a month later at a different piercing shop that did it in less than a minute and replaced it with a 14k hoop. Eat healed in less than a month and looks perfect now - no thanks to this place. If you have sensitive ears don't come here. You know your body better than any piercer will and there's plenty of other places in slo. read more

Horrible service. The girl at the front had no clue about any of their jewelry selection, not to mention they barely have any options. The piercer was so beyond rude, he didn't know what a helix vs a rook piercing. After he placed the dot on my ear and waited for me to look in the mirror and I told him it wasn't in my rook and I couldn't even see it he said "we don't have time for this so do you want it or not". Rather than having him mess up my ear we just walked out. Horrible customer service all around.. would not recommend getting pierced here. Would give 0 stars if possible. read more

I've been visiting my friend in SLO for about a week when I noticed my left lobe that I got pierced up in Oregon a month ago was starting to swallow the back of my piercing. I was unsure what to do and searched Yelp. I tried one shop that never got back to me and then checked out SLO piercing. You can book online and leave comments of what your looking for. They even had same day appointments. NOTE: Be kind, make an appointment; it's Covid times and you shouldn't expect to just walk in. When I went in Chavez was super kind and asked some preliminary questions of about my piercing. Instead of telling me to spend hundreds of dollars so he could sell some jewelry he told me we could extend the posts and change it from a ball back to a wide disk back. It literally saved me hundreds of dollars. Chavez and his shop attendant were super personable and kind. The studio is super organized and clean, and it's shared with some tattoo artists. Chavez was extremely thorough, and I appreciated that he walked each of us through the process. He has a nice selection of jewelry, including some 14k BVLA pieces and some more affordable options on the other price end. He was trying to move some of his stuff so he was selling it at a discount, so I was able to get pierced for $50 off what it'd normally be. I have a whole bunch of piercings, and have been to a lot of trendier piercers that do the "curated ear" aesthetic that's blowing up, and I felt like Chavez really went above and beyond where I've been before and I walked out with exactly what I was looking for. After having gone to a few other piercing options in the county before finding him, I can say that he is hands-down the best piercer at the best value in the county. He is the only APP-certified piercer in the area, meaning that he follows the latest professional piercing practices in the industry. This is hugely important to me because my daughter has had some really bad outcomes with other piercings in the past, but not with any of her piercings from Chavez. He sterilizes his equipment and jewelry with a medical-grade autoclave, and he has a practically painless piercing technique. I know that everyone is different when it comes to pain, but my daughter and I both think that our piercings were almost pain-free after an initial hard pinch. It makes it so easy to keep going back to him for more piercings. His aftercare advice has been spot-on, and my piercings from him have been healing quickly and easily, even my several cartilage piercings. He also includes downsizing appointments in his initial service fee. I know there are other, cheaper places to get a piercing in the county, but in the long-run, I think it's better to pay a little more for a great result. Also, can I talk about his jewelry selection? He only stocks implant-grade titanium and gold, I believe, because they have the absolute best outcomes for new piercings. His selection is high-quality and GORGEOUS. With his help, my daughter and I have the styled ears of our dreams.
