Love this property! I have been here for the past two months. I have nothing but good experiences so far. I love my one bedroom apartment. It has large windows that allow all the natural light to flow in. It's so gorgeous guys. I also have a pool view. I live in the building with the attached parking garage, so that makes parking easy and there are always available spots even late at night. Staff is very attentive and eager to help answer questions. I have not used maintenance yet, but when I see them on the property they are always nice and will speak and say hi or give a friendly wave. SLOANE Street is a very active community. Every month there is fun residents events to get you meet neighbors, so if you like going to do activities this will be perfect for you. And if you are not into that the place is spacious where you can hardly see other people if that's what you like. I love how all the common areas are always clean and available for use. The loft above the office is very chill and you can get some work or studying done. The rooftop terrace is also very nice and you can just enjoy the space. So I'm so glad I made the decision to move here, and oh you will love the location, you are so close to everything!! :-)) read more

Management should provide a space where tenants can trust that their packages will not be stolen or misplaced. I have to ship things to work. This complex should consider placing cameras around the hallways, parking garage, mail room, and trash room - people steal packages, smoke cigarettes in hallways, and misuse the trash room. I've lived here since Feb 2019. Pros: Shares parking lot with LA Fitness and Starbucks Parking garage Close to Tollway Cons: - water smells like rotten eggs all year, water must be run for at least five minutes every morning. I really enjoyed living here for the most part. Leasing and move-in was pretty easy. My unit was brand new, so it was clean and ready for move-in. The common areas are really nice. The parking garage could be bigger to hold the amount of people living there for sure. My only two issues were the thin walls. You could hear a lot from neighbors and outside. Also, the manager at the time was not very friendly, however, her staff was excellent. read more

Friend of mine continued to stay here after I left... issues just kept getting worse. For the issues (smelly water, high crime, poor maintenance and stolen packages) with the high rent they charge, it's just not worth it. There was a shooting here... you can look it up.. here's how terrible the staff here is. At 2pm the cops showed up then brought swat at 2:30 and at 4pm (two hours later) Sloane Staff send a vague message to stay in doors that police were here. With no other info about what was happening ... We called the office and left voicemails and no response ever. Then at 6pm the guy finally surrenders with swat and a police negotiation camper here... This was a four hour stand off and yet we were NEVER told by Sloane what was happening. We only found out through the news media what was going on. See pictures. The standoff ended at 6pm and Sloane staff sent an email out @ 9pm (THREE HOURS AFTER THE STANDOFF ENDED) saying the police left... PATHETIC. The staff could have told us sooner, or been more transparent about what was happening. We even called the Sloane office several times during it and no answers or call backs ever. In fact, me and my neighbors are still waiting to hear back from them.... Meaning SLOANE NEVER CALLED US BACK OR MY NEIGHBORS (EVER) regardless of the voicemails. We only found out the standoff was over from the news. How absurd. Again, this is just an example of the consistency of lack of professionalism from the staff/ management here. This place is nice but the leadership and security is horrible. Wont be renewing. The managements response saying they were available for phone calls is completely untrue. We called several times as did my neighbors and left voicemails asking for call backs and they never answered nor ever called us back and still haven't to address concerns. This is why the turnover here is so high. They don't even have cameras here. The doors are often broken so people just walk in and out. The walls are scratched up and need repainting but it's been like that for a year now. Pathetic. read more

BEWARE! All is not what it seems. Lived there a hair over 6 months due to a house fire. I worked from home, so I saw it all. Here is a list: -Routine visits by police -Due to completely cheap construction, your heat and cooling will be way more than you think. Our apartment utilities were double that of our house; which is bigger and way older! -Good luck finding parking. -the office management is extremely rude and completely useless. -they will steal your money at move-out -Had a woman call me a "Cracker Mother F-er" because my dog that WAS ON A LEASH but her dog (NOT ON A LEASH) attacked mine. Told the office about this in person and they could care less -SECTION 8 is your friend and neighbor -the dog park is 4 miles away! Really I'm posting this because it is a great place but until you live here you'd never know. Multiple people have had countless items stolen from their cars in the parking garage, cars locked and unlocked unfortunately but what bothers me is the office and property manager don't do anything about it. They keep beating around the bush about getting cameras in the parking garage and even the police question why they don't? My neighbor got his car broken into and the guys were trying to got wire his car. You need to know that even the cops nor ambulance don't have any access to the apartments. If someone was getting their apartment robbed or some sort even someone having a heart attack or something along the lines of that the ambulance couldn't get in to get them unless someone comes to open the door. I hope they understand that if they take care of their people there wouldn't be problems like this. So take this for consideration before moving into this apartment complex. read more

I have been leaving Sloane street since 2018. I am the first resident and I am still leaving here. I am surprised about some of the reviews. This place is the quietest place ever. The office staff and the maintenance people are amazing. I am telling my own experience. I don't know about the moving out charge I can't speak of about that. I am concerned if it's true. I'll definitely update my moving out experience when I move out. I just renewed my lease for the 3rd time so that'sshows I am happy by far.. About the camera I definitely agree with that. I lived in building 1 for one year. Moving back to East Dallas since I work from home now. Pros: -Chelsea was a great resource while touring -Smooth move in process -Above average finishings. -Large patios -Large windows to let a lot of natural light in -includes stacked W/D -Elevators (minimal break downs and they usually resolve them within the day) -Starbucks/eating places and gym walking distance -I only filed a maintenance request once but they were quick - easy access to DNT and Bush - Nature Preserve is just a few minutes up the road Cons/Things to consider: -No security -Not gated -Only building 2 can park in the garage. (Which has multiple break in incidents). Some street lights are out, try to park in a well lit area. -Thin walls/ceilings. I lived on the 3rd story and can hear each step my upstairs neighbor takes. It would be miserable to live under someone with kids. You can also hear each time they flush and hear some conversations of your next door neighbors. -WATCH YOUR STEP! Residents are horrible at picking up their pets waste. Don't take a step in the grass before looking. They use the PooPrints system which is designed to charge violators but I don't believe they actually use it. - There are always cute little cotton tail bunnies around. If you have a dog that has hunting tendencies you may want to consider this. -Getting packages delivered can sometimes be tricky. I always try to use Amazon pickup locations instead. - Limited in-apartment storage Move out: I'm hoping the move out process goes as smoothly as move in. Everyday is like a battle that you are constantly hearing dogs barking, lousy neighbors banging the walls, heavy bass and footsteps that even shake the entire room!! - Multiple packages lost or stolen - No resolution or even a follow up call from the front desk after submitting three separate noise complains. - Parking is getting difficult that you can never find a parking spot if you leave work late. - Construction going on from 7am - 5pm, even working on the weekend. Mostly likely going to last for a few months. - Sink smells like a sewer. If rent is half, it's tolerable but not with the premium they currently charge. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE. I lived here for three years. I only stayed so long because l am a single lady in my 60s and it's very hard to move. You cannot drink the water AT ALL. it smells like rotten eggs and it has what looks like black mold coming out of every faucet. It is gross. I had to buy bottled water to drink and to cook with. When you complain about the water, they tell you it's the City of Carrollton not them. City of Carrollton laughed when I told them. The first time I renewed my lease they put a note on my door saying if I renewed by the end of that month I could renew with no price increase. I went to renew my lease before that time and they refused to give me that deal, telling me their specials change weekly and that special was no longer valid. Even though I had the flyer in my hand showing the deal was still valid. They only honored it after contacting their home office. My car was hit and or damaged in the parking garage 3 different times. There are no cameras anywhere and there were constant break ins as well. They have stackable washer dryers that are complete crap. Mine was falling apart from maintenance working in it so many times. It never agitated properly and most of the time I just went to a laundry mat. Once I did move, I hired a cleaning lady and my apt was left spotless. I requested a walk through the day I turned my keys in, but they said no, I would have had to of requested it two days prior. They charged me all of these ridiculous charges! I had a candle spill on the carpet but you could NOT see any evidence of it because I bought wax remover and cleaned it. They change the carpet out after each resident. I lived there long enough to see that, but they look at the back of the old carpet and make their own conclusions, so they can force you to pay for the next residents carpeting. They are not a reputable company. I have lived in many apartments and I've NEVER had to pay for carpet damage. There is dog crap everywhere and dog pee in the halls everywhere. And they do nothing about it. The only nice thing I can say about living there is I had a nice view from my balcony. read more

I lived here about two years and I am only moving out, because it's time for a house. However, I put in a work order for a few issues, and maintenance is there right away. Mostly it's Jonathan, one of the maintenance guys. He helped solve the water damage I had in my apartment due to rain, and he is always very helpful when I have any questions about about the apartment etc. (Thank you, Jonathan!). What I like about Sloane Street Apartments: - wonderful pool, never really crowded or loud - it is clean and and well-kept - the clubhouse/rooftop terrace and library, you can take your guests, or work from those areas - I live in building 2, which has the attached garage, it's gated and I never have issues finding a space - mail locker room, where you can get your mail with a passcode and don't have to worry about it being stolen (some carriers) - the apartment itself is spacious and bright, for those who enjoy natural sun light - the location is perfect for me, it's central to everywhere What I didn't like: - since it's a new complex (at least at the beginning of my lease), my friends (or food delivery services) couldn't find my address - once they do find it, food delivery/grocery services couldn't get in to the building, so I have to go downstairs every time - I live under the clubhouse and wouldn't recommend leasing this exact apartment. It gets loud, even after hours up to 1am (it is supposed to close at 9pm during Covid) I read on other reviews that the utility bill is high, I agree on that. But then again, the ceilings are high The water does smell like sewer when you let it run first thing in the the morning, and I hate to waste that much water to let it run until it goes away. I have resided at this community since November of 2018. I have always paid my rent on time and honestly I have never called them for any type of maintenance issue I just take care of the minor things myself. Today I called the office and told them that I would like to transfer into the new building they have. I was told I would have to pay one month's rent which is $1,400 plus a $500 deposit plus pay back $800 in specials I received. Basically a total of $2,700 just to transfer to a different apartment. I told them I would sign a long term 2 year lease but I was told I would still have to pay them $2,700 just to transfer. I will let prospective apartment hunters come to your own opinion but I don't think this is the way you treat great tenants. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Will definitely move once my lease is up. read more

Leasing agents in the leasing office are very unprofessional, particularly Tiara. I have met plenty of neighbors in the community and stated that she's the reason why so many people have moved out and preferred not to renew their lease. I have also had several issues with her. Every time I go in the leasing office, she's always being unprofessional and playing on her phone. If you go in the office with an issue for maintenance to address something, she has an attitude. Experiencing what I did with this particular leasing agent, I will not be renewing my lease, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone of my friends or people that I know. Do not live at the Sloane Street Apartment! I have lived there for 1 year and it was disgusting and dangerous. Here are the apartment conditions: 1. Tenants let dogs poop and discharge urine in the hallways all the time and no one has cleaned the mess. 2. Trash rooms are extremely dirty and smelly. 3. Neighbors constantly fight and scream. Police men have to investigate the situations. 4. Exterior doors are accessible to everyone since the management has never fixed these locks. 5. The pool looks very nice but it is always packed during the summer time. A lot of trash around the pool area and music is very loud. 6. Tenants are not responsible (I was home only two weeks every month but the fire happened at least three times) read more

I moved in a little over two years ago (June 2019) and have many great things to say about renting here! I have a couple cons but not all are within management's control and if it doesn't bother you then this is a fantastic apartment complex! Pros: - staff is very friendly and helpful if I ever need them. Super kind in the office and responsive to emails about non urgent things within a day or so. - maintenance is quick and helpful to requests. Have had no major problems but needed them for a few quick fixes. - SUPER pet friendly place. I have a cat and a dog and I've never had an apartment complex that actually loved having my pets as residents as well as people. Many tenants have dogs and most are quiet and well behaved. There's occasional barking but from the perspective of another pet parent, it doesn't bother me. However, if you don't prefer to be around pets, this may not be the place for you. I feel like most of my neighbors have a pet of some kind! For me this has been a HUGE plus. I occasionally see places where someone hasn't picked up after their dog but it's far and few between. They have many doggie bag dispensers and trash cans around the property. - rent is higher than average for the area but the complex is well kept and newer than other ones so for what you get it's a fair price. - I rarely have issues finding parking for myself or my guests which is awesome! - utilities: I've noticed a few people mention the cost of utilities and maybe I don't know what it's like in other places in the area but it's never bothered me. I pay ~$70 for electric (varies by season) and hardly anything for water or sewage. I have also never encountered the water smelling funny.... Can't speak to other buildings but that hasn't been a problem in mine. - valet trash is awesome! I can also easily drop off my recycling in the bin at my convenience. Cons - location: it's not in a neighborhood. There are only offices and businesses surrounding the complex so I often find myself with a lack of places to walk my dog or get outside. I can easily drive 5 minutes to some good spots but not as easy as walking out your door. - the windows in the apartment are big and beautiful for letting light in but I have no windows that I can open for some fresh air in the nicer weather. If I leave the door open, bugs come in so it would be nice to have windows with a screen that could be opened. - there is only covered parking in the personal garages or the big parking garage at the front. The personal ones are out of my budget and the garage is too far for me to park daily. Carports or something like that would be a wonderful happy medium. Now that I have a newer car the potential for hail damage worries me but not enough to pay for a whole personal garage. read more

Crooks...original management was good but current management is completely incompetent and dishonest. Upon move out, they created an invoice of "damages" none of which are true. Place was immaculate upon move out, not a single nail hole in the wall, everything cleaned from the appliances to the floors. lived there two years carpet in bedroom was never professionally cleaned by complex as it was never offered upon lease renewal. The carpet was never stained or damaged yet for normal light wear the manager actually put a ridiculous carpet cleaning fee on the invoice. Don't waste your time at this place, in addition to making up false damages, the building structure is also comprised, took extensive photos and videos upon move out showing the condition, no damage except for multiple cracks due to structural movement from construction / foundation problems. Person on first floor at building next to mine had watershed problems from structural movement to where the water would back up to their back door porch area flooding the apartment when it rained causing them to go out with a squeegee and push water off the porch to lessen the water intrusion. Buildings are settling as the ground moves... both buildings and management moving in the wrong direction, not good. Also pull a crime report on the property to see all the break-ins, theft and other crime related to this property, two stars is a generous review, this place is 100% cursed, move in at your own peril. read more

Please save your time and energy if you are thinking about moving to Sloane Street Apartments. The entire management staff is horrible. Romy and Jessica customer service is rated a 1 at best: poor communication skills, customer service, and response time to issues/concerns are horrible. People are moving out quicker than they moved in. I stayed at Sloane Street for less than a year and demanded to be let out of my lease. They have a huge pest infestation and had seven pest control companies walk away in less than a year, the pool was out of commission for a good number of days during the summer (PH Balance issues), they have water issues that has been reported numerous times to the City of Carrollton, and they lack customer service skills. I reported a rat in my apartment and they came out placed mouse traps and to my unveil had a total of seven rats and a lot of my former neighbors had the same issue. Please look at the negative reviews they speak truth not sure about the positive reviews I hope they received some form of compensation. I do not know anyone current or former resident who has anything positive to say about these apartments. If you so happen to drive towards Sloane Street please keep driving, there are a lot of well kept apartments in the area. read more

I've had the perfect experience with this complex. The staff is friendly and helpful and are quick to respond when you need help! The property is clean and well maintained. The office always lets us know if they'll need to enter our apartment, they give a few days notice. I think they've only needed to enter once in our 2 years here. They are pet friendly, there are plenty of grassy areas to walk dogs. Hardwood flooring, carpet is the bedrooms, granite countertops, steel appliances, everything is updated and fairly new. Neighbors are respectful and friendly for the most part. Open layouts. Basketball area, zen garden, library with wifi, rooftop gaming room, very nice large pool in center of property, decent gym in complex but also LA fitness touching the property. Close to everything! Willows Bend mall across the street, many restaurants just minutes away, Whataburger and Starbucks in the parking lot. 20ish minutes away from downtown Dallas, 15 from Frisco, touching Plano. We are moving soon out of state, if not I would have stayed here for longer. Renting prices are very very reasonable.
