We have been very pleased with our first four months at The Lexington at Valley Ranch. We moved here from out-of-state and had to do much of the final preparations via phone and email, and everything was taken care of easily and properly. The front office folks are very friendly and responsive to helping with receiving packages for us or responding to maintenance requests. The only issue we had so far was a dishwasher motor issue that was beyond their control, and they fixed it the same day we put the request in. The construction of the units is great, and noise from neighbors above, below, and around us has not been an issue as it can be with some newer units made of thin walls. The surrounding area is great and has all the amenities you could want without the feeling that you are in the middle of everything. The surrounding residential area is very safe and quiet. Overall, we are very happy with our decision to move here. We definitely feel that we get our money's worth. read more

No security. They collect money for paid parking and valet for trash. No tow signs up. Several times a month your trash is missed. The trash dumpster stays broken. People park in your paid spot and no one enforce the rule to make them move out of your spot. I've called the police they said these apartments are not on the list and no parking signs are up anywhere. I put all of this in writing to the office staff and nothing has been done. Mostly Middle East residence and there is dozens of people in the same apartments. They make the garage into a sleeping area. They park in handicap so the handicap has no where to park. They have one maintenance person that is EXCELLENT. His name is Eric. I've been here 3 years and they gone down. It's unbelievable that these apartments are so unkept in this area with the rent they charge. Don't look at the name Lexington. Very deceiving. I moved in March and the leasing process was smooth, but that's where the positives end. From Day 1, I've been dealing with nonstop noise -- and I live on the top (third) floor. I hear every single step, cabinet slam, garbage disposal, and drawer close from the unit below me. It's honestly maddening. I have to wear headphones at home just to focus or relax. The floors are insanely thin, and no, management can't (and won't) do anything to fix it. Then there's the parking -- or lack of it. If you get home after 7 PM on a weekday, good luck. You're likely parking a building away. For $1,440/month, there's no reserved space, no garage, nothing. It feels like you're paying for the area, not the apartment. And don't be fooled by the "cleaning" excuse if they won't show you your unit before move-in -- mine was dirty, with bathroom cabinets and countertops flaking like they came from a dollar store. Absolute bait-and-switch. Management's response to complaints? A generic, copy-paste message that dodges the real issues: this place is cheaply built, poorly managed, and absolutely not worth what they're charging. Save yourself the stress. I lived here from April 2019-April 2021. I just wanted to come back and reflect how wonderful my time was here. It's one of those things where you don't realize what you have until it's gone! Easily the best apartment complex that I've lived at. They have the nicest staff- Ian was always very responsive and timely. Issues I had got addressed immediately and I felt important and respected. The value I paid- I felt was reflected in the price. And I loved the walking river path that ran behind the apartment complex. The apartment is conveniently located- they have everything you could need and want right there off McArthur- Kroger, Kroger Fuel, Target, Walmart, TJ Maxx, ect.. all within a 5 min drive. DFW airport is 10 minutes away so it's easy in and out of town. Overall great value, great commutation and overall I just miss living there ! read more

Overall I enjoyed my time here at The Lexington. The reason why I knocked off one star is because they allow kids to go running around the parking lot where cars are pulling in and out constantly. I was always so scared I was going to hit a little one. It shouldn't be treated like a playground! And the first day we moved in we realized our unit had a huge cockroach problem. Once that got resolved, we didn't have issues with any other insects. The neighborhood is nice and safe though. I definitely felt at peace in my apartment. And if we ever needed maintenance to come, they would come right away. read more

I've lived at Lexington since February 2019 and I am ready to move out. What makes this place completely unlivable is the PARKING! It is the absolute worst. I think there are approximately 250 units, there has to be only 220 parking spots in the complex, this includes handicap and reserved too. If you leave your home after 7pm or don't get home until 7pm, there is nowhere to park and by nowhere, I mean no spots at all. Residents park in the handicap spots or create parking spots up in the cul de sac by the leasing office, it's that or parallel park on the street outside of the complex. I feel like that is unfair when we pay over $1180 in rent and can't even park in your complex or near your home. That's a serious safety concern. Simple solution you would think is get a paid covered parking spot. I wanted one, but I have been on the waiting list since I moved in February 2019, they offered me a spot in November 2019 but it was three buildings away from my apartment. If you have company during the week after 8pm or on the weekends after 4pm, there will be nowhere to park. I feel like a prisoner in my home sometimes because I know if I leave, I won't have anywhere to park. I feel like the apartments are overpriced for what you get: I am in the largest one bedroom and there is no linen closet or pantry and a serious lack of storage space, you only have the bedroom closet and a super small hall closet inside the unit and the patio storage closet is small too. Older apartment and the floors feel warn in some places, pipes are loud and the walls are kind of thin to the point you can hear when the neighbors turn on the water or slam cabinets. Valet trash is a joke, they will not take some stuff (like a flattened box, broom handle, laundry detergent box) but we pay for this service and there is only one trash bin on site and it's all the way across the complex from my unit. When I was there, I guess the apartment community went thru upgrades from roofing to AC units, the workers were everywhere and management said they would begin work at 9am, but they would start way before that at like 7am. I feel like they were just making up reasons to come into apartments. They always gave notice but they came in the units a lot...from AC repairs, fire extinguisher check, fire code compliance, change the air filters; it happened frequently. The neighborhood feels safe, the grounds are clean and maintenance is top notch, like same day service on some work orders. read more

I was blown away by the service of the staff from the first day that I moved to the Lexington more than an year ago when Ian stayed late to make sure that I was able to get my key to unload my U-Haul. I just re-signed a new lease and couldn't be more happy about it. The apartments are clean, the neighbors are quite, clean and courteous. The cherry on top is all the running trails and parks just around the corner. I recommend The Lexington to friends and family! read more

This is a great apartment complex . Neighborhood is very homely. When you put in a service request , the maintenance people come in their earliest convenience and are also helpful on weekends (there is a different number to reach them during weekends ). Restaurants , fast food , cafe and even grocery stores are within a mile. read more

I just moved in Nov. 2008. Very nice, exceptionally quiet place. Neighborhood is quiet to the point of being spooky. Management is great. A couple of maintenance problems were quickly fixed. Maintenance guy is very nice. Complex has curbside trash pickup 2 or 3 times a week. This is a quiet side street in Valley Ranch along a canal with walking paths. Only small negatives: closets are smaller than I'm used to. If you get the 1000 sq. ft. 2/2, it can be a challenge. Also, only businesses close are just dry cleaning, etc. No grocery shopping for several miles. Well, being in a quiet place is a trade off. Detached garage rental is limited; but outside parking is good. Residents are mostly young tech workers from India. Neighborhood is heavily Indian. I like them and they are excellent neighbors. read more

So we moved in on 11/01 (well technically on 10/31 as the property manager - Ashlie - was super kind to give us the keys late afternoon), and have loved it so far. Its a very nice and calm neighbourhood, we have a beautiful canal facing apartment and we love it so far. Had some issues with appliances, but it was addressed under 12 hours, how's that for service. I would especially like to mention Ashlie who's been awesome to us and has been extremely helpful. Hopefully its just the start to a great stay at Lexington. read more

This is the best in the neighborhood. The place where it is located with a combination of facilities and accessibility, this is unique. This community has beautiful canal facing units as well. I love living in the Valley Ranch area. I have lived at the Lexington twice. I had to relocate for work a few years ago. When I knew I was coming back to Irving for work, I knew exactly where I wanted to live! It's a quaint and attractive community. I've got some good neighbors. My electric bills are reasonable. I have quick access to several shoping centers and some great places to eat! The ladies in the office know my name and I'm greeted with a smile each time I visit. We just moved in and the experience has been very good! Not having lived in an apartment for 20 years, we didn't know what to expect. The staff here has been very kind, helpful and prompt with our requests. Our apartment is nice (new carpet, good colors and amenities like the walk-in closet and garage) and the complex is very quiet. Our dog, Stella, is happy here, too, and she has never lived in an apartment. I would recommend this to anyone needing an apartment home in the area. read more

Great apartment complex. Nice, quiet, well-kept. Maintenance was usually done the day it was requested. Office staff was great, starting with Beverly, then Gloria, then Melanie. I'm not sure how the newer staff worked out. They didn't seem to have the personality as the 3 listed, but then again, I'm comparing them to 3 who were great. Plus they were fairly new when I was on my way out. Unless you have a garage or car port, I would suggest staying on the west end of the complex, as finding a parking space on the east side can become a problem when the complex is full of tenants and visitors (usually during the summer). The canal view on the south side of the complex is beautiful, relaxing, and there's a jogging trail along the canal. And there's a park, recreation center, neighborhood waterpark and library within short walking distance. The Lexington is pricier than nearby apartment complexes, but I'd return to Lexington if I was searching for an apartment in the area. read more

I have lived here for about a year an a half and have really enjoyed it. The staff is pleasant to deal with and any maintenace issues have always been taken care of promplty. The rent is reasonable and in line with other complexesin the neighborhood. Parking can be a bit tight near my building sometimes so I ended up renting a garage so I'll always have a place to park close to my apartment. I'll be signing another lease with them when the time comes! read more

Nice location, but a bit over priced. Quiet, but thin walls and ceiling. When you move out they will bill you for "Carpet Treatment" and "Cleaning fee", no matter how clean you leave the apartment. Petty and shameful tacit! Laundry room machines are dated and even destroyed one load of my clothes. read more

The Lexington was a really nice, quiet, well-maintained property. I looked at these apartments both times I've been searching for homes recently and they were a very close second. The office staff (I was working with a man named Ian) were all very kind, though the office seems to always be short staffed as each time I would have to wait for help. No biggie. What made me go with the Winsted down the road instead was the pricing (Lexington was several hundred dollars more per month!) and the garages are not attached. For me I preferred the convenience of getting out of my car and just walking in the back door to the idea of getting out of my car, leaving the garage (thinking about safety) and then having to walk up community stairs which could be exposed and slick in case of rain or snow/ice. read more

Went to look for an apartment here. I was told by a leasing agent she would help me when she got back from taking other people to their model. I waited in the office and noticed the manager, or what I think is the manager, sitting on her phone doing who knows what for 30 minutes while I waited. I finally was so frustrated I tried to wave her to help and she said hold on, rolled her eyes at me and never came over to help. The leasing agent that was nice was still helping the people she was with when I got there. I was sickened by this blonde woman's attitude and left. I wouldn't want to live anywhere that the actual manager ignores a new potential resident...guess she doesn't feel like she needs more residents so I will find somewhere that does. read more

We'll first I'd like to say the management asked us to write this review, so hope this helps! When I first moved in the place was great we signed our lease and the staff was great, friendly, professional and helpful. This made some of annoyances, bearable. The parking is tight, the walls are a little thin. This all turned to the worse and I've seen first hand how a management change can ruin a complex, the ladies in there are very now very unprofessional, they can be very snappy, and they have a bad attitude problem. Going to the office is not as easy as it used to be, and sometimes you'll need to follow up. The maintenance staff is new but they are very punctual and tend to take care of everything promptly. The apartment is in my favorite area of North Irving and the trails and parks are great. The floorplans are good and the price is reasonable. Should the management change this place could easily earn 2 stars but you'll seen after you sign (cause they can hold a smile for a minute) Once you move in you'll no longer get anything but a stare and a bad attitude. read more
