3/5 -- Awesome Concept, but Kokomo Could Be So Much Better Kokomo Beach Club at the London Bridge Resort has the bones of an awesome Lake Havasu pool-party venue, but unfortunately, it misses the mark in a few important areas. First, the positives: the setting is fantastic. The pool overlooks the Lake Havasu Channel with a great view of the London Bridge, and having food and drinks served right there pool/lakeside makes it a great place to hang out without having to leave the action. One of my favorite features is the pool volleyball. Being able to play throughout the day and into the night until closing is a blast and gives the pool something fun and interactive that a lot of other resort pools don't have. Where Kokomo falls short is the actual "beach club/pool party" atmosphere it advertises. During the day, there was no DJ until 9 PM, and the pool was filled predominantly with families and kids running around. There's obviously nothing wrong with having family-friendly pools at a resort, but it seemed like an odd fit for Kokomo specifically considering that it's marketed more like a pool-party beach bar/club. There were actually very few 21+ adults hanging out at the pool during the day other than parents with their children. I think a few relatively simple changes could make this place dramatically better: make the Kokomo pool adults-only while keeping the resort's other pools available for families, and have a DJ playing Friday through Sunday from around 3 or 4 PM until close. That would create an actual afternoon pool-party atmosphere and give adults visiting Havasu a reason to spend the afternoon here. Unfortunately, when we came back after 9 PM specifically to hear the DJ, the music still didn't deliver. The DJ simply wasn't very good during our visit. For a venue trying to create a legitimate nightlife/beach-club atmosphere, the DJ and music selection really need to be one of its strengths. Overall: 3/5 . The location, London Bridge views, pool volleyball, drinks and poolside food service give Kokomo a ton of potential. But if they're going to market it as a beach club and pool-party destination, I'd love to see them lean into that identity much more -- adults-only at the Kokomo pool, a quality DJ starting in the afternoon on weekends, and a true Havasu pool-party atmosphere. With those changes, this could easily become one of the coolest daytime-to-nighttime hangouts on the Channel. read more

to the short girl behind the counter.. and whatever weird shit is going on at this bar... needs to be addressed. three other people along with myself had some drinks here the other day... noticed some weird stuff behind the bar and just in my surrounding area, thought nothing of it. explain why maybe two hours after i go home.. i get a notification from my bank saying someone is trying to pull out over 500$... now.. the two trips that day i made were, to one grocery store and thru the check out line- AND the BAR... so i guess If you're gonna have scammin ass bartenders working for you. make sure they know how to actually SCAM someone...people are at a hUGE RISK of being scammed... but it's just disappointing.. to even have to say be careful and probably not use your card here is beyond me but... have fun w that dog shyt kinda environment. read more

Come to Kokomo for drinks, for food you MUST go to the stoneys food truck in the kokomo "backyard". Get the tri tip sandwich. One of the best if not the best steak sandwich I've ever had. 10 stars for this. MUST get!!! read more

30 years ago, I grew up on the havasu river and kokomos was always a stomping ground. Came back on a camping trip with my kids and was so impressed with the hospitality. Gave our kiddos free Kokomo swag, which to kids is like a million bucks... We stayed across the lake but they let us use the pool, great food, friendly staff, dog friendly and an escape from the heat. Will absolutely be back! Big blue van on tap? Yes please!!! This place is more of a bar than a restaurant...at least at night. This has been the go-to place for nightlife in Lake Havasu for over 15 years that I know of. I've cruised through this place during the day...it's serene and quiet. It looks like a great place to grab some food and a drink while relaxing outdoors enjoying the view. Located next to the London Bridge, there's a nice view of the waterway. At night (at least on Friday and Saturday nights) this place comes alive with dance music. The crowd age is usually all over the board. There are a couple pool tables, a pool, a dance floor, and a few other outdoor things to add to your fun. With a full bar, drinks choices are unlimited. My husband and I went to Kokomo's in August 2022, while staying at the London bridge resort. We had a blast. The staff was great and so were the drinks. I played water volleyball for the first time ever. That's hard, but tons of fun. They are located on the channel. it's fun to watch the boats coming and going. If I recall correctly, I believe I saw staff catering boats. How cool is that? Pretty good choice of music also. Sorry, we did not eat. Incidentally, we decided to move to Havasu. looking forward to spending more time at Kokomo's. read more

Never coming back to this place. Bartender (younger lady upstairs) was extremely rude, my card declined so I asked if one of my friends could come over and pay for the drink I just ordered. Bartender continued to harass me about not having cash (in 2023) after my friend payed for it. and called security over to kick me out. Was cooperative with security. This is the second year, I had my annual beach blanket, bingo birthday bash with approximately 50 people poolside at the Kokomo's establishment. The manager Stephen Samarin was absolutely phenomenal, his staff was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend if you ever want to plan an event especially if it's a Summer event, with the swimming pool, and the lake nearby, great location, it is right by the London Bridge. Stephen attention to all my request were met and exceeded my expectations, I can't say enough, the Kokomo's staff was absolutely wonderful. read more

Three stars for Kokomo, not because it's a three-star bar, but it merely is what it is. The third star was also for the surprisingly decent food and strong drinks we had during our late afternoon visit. I'm not going to describe Kokomo because it's so large and has so many different areas, plus there isn't an actual bar that you sit at and order drinks. It offers everything you want to have fun in the afternoon and in the evening. Though, I'm sticking to the daylight hours and leaving the night to the kids. Looking forward to wasting some daylight, drinking beer, and boat watching on my next trip to Lake Havasu. read more

Came here on a Thursday for a drink. It wasn't busy.. but I didn't expect it to be since it wasn't a weekend. The bartender wasn't very friendly or helpful. We ordered a few drinks and then we came back to order shirts for some friends. We stood at the bar for a while waiting for some help. She completely ignored us while she helped and talked to a bridal shower of girls.. we walked out without the shirts. I guess we can't be too mad. She saved us a lot of money. read more

While visiting Lake havasu we spent every day here, it was such a fun place, it was open all day and night, they have a pool that's open to the public all day. My husband and i really enjoyed hanging here, we went to the pool everyday and it helped to get out of the heat for a little while, at night the crowd is fun and the music too. It's a fun place to hang out when you're not on the boat. It can get very busy on the weekends with a very young crowd. We enjoy the pool and it's fun playing volleyball in the pool and meeting people. We wish it would go back to being an Adult only pool. The water misters are very helpful.
