It's a pet peeve of mine.

I had an incredible experience at the Sail Inn! After taking the ferry across the lake and a short walk, I stumbled upon this gem, and I'm so glad I did. The food was amazing--classic American done perfectly--and the service was top-notch. The vibe of the place was unmatched, making it a truly memorable outing. I'm sorry to say that this is one of the only places to eat here and they only have one waitress you wait over 1/12 houses to be told they are out of what you ordered. Then the owner gets out as fast as he can. We have tried over and over to make it work but I'm done. They will cook for the call in people and let the sit down people wait for ever. I wondered later if that included added protein. Nevertheless, most people cant eat another big plate of salad; so, it would be helpful to offer a one-time salad bar for less $$. The base (no protein) was $16. Add steak was +$12. Add chicken was +7. So these two salads, with no 'refills,' plus an iced tea for $2.50 was $55 (inc cc surcharge). The machine offered 20, 25, or 30% tip. So our lunch salads and a tea was $70...... The salad bar was clean and had lots of great, and healthy, choices like quinua, artichoke hearts, and assorted olives (please note: the olive have pits). Again, the food was delicious, but we can enjoy a made-to-order healthy salad with similar ingredients at a nearby restaurant for about $20 less (yes, inc steak and chicken). We didnt go for the wine, so drinkers might have a different experience; although I noted a bottle of red zin was $65. When I stopped at Smiths on the way home for a $7 rotisserie chicken for dinner, I noticed the beer and wine bar inside was packed full of people visiting and having a great time.
