I am not sure about my rating - the food was pretty good but 3 out of 4 us were overcharged for meals. We had ordered one of their lunch specials- pizza with 2 toppings and small side salad for 11. Good deal, right? Well our bill had the $11 as expected but $1 for each ingredient so we were charged $13 instead of 11. One of friends went to ask the waitress- she was aware but wasn't sure how to change it. Geez at least tell us about it. Sloan's is a great bar. The bar is clean and well decorated. They have a great menu full something for everyone. The Jalepeno Mac and cheese bites are such a yum app. You can park on the street, they usually have a spot in front of a minute walk away. It's tucked on Collinsville main road downtown and it's super cute at night lit up! I love that this bar does seasonal drinks and specialty cocktails. It's a change from the other nearby bars. First time stopping in, took the family for Brunch. Very easy to find and parking was on the main road. We thought it was going to be packed but we got there just in time. Our service was prompt upon siting. Drinks and appetizers were very quick. Brunch menu was pretty loaded, definitely something for everyone. My jalapeño burger was fire! I never thought I'd walk into a bar and feel so warm and comfortable. As soon as you go in the ambience is fantastic. The bar itself is gorgeous and the selection of drink drinks and what they have on tap is more than I've seen anywhere else. The service is pretty much immediate, the mixed drinks are fantastic (and I am very finicky about my mixed drinks), and the food....OMG THE FOOD! I really don't like burgers, but the person I was with got a burger and it was amazing and insisted I tried it and let me tell you, it was the best freaking burger I've ever tasted my entire life! I went there a second time, on a Saturday night, and it was very busy, but service was still very quick, my mixed drink was perfect, music was great, but not too loud where you couldn't hold a conversation and they even had security! At a bar/restaurant on Main Street in Collinsville!! as a tiny little female, who happen to be there with her tiny little female family member, I felt super safe and had a great time! So if you're looking for somewhere to go eat, I suggest Sloans, (I just found out they did brunch on weekends and I can't wait to try that, plus they have a full Lent menu, so no having to search while I'm allowed to eat on a Friday right now!). Came in to watch a game, have some drinks, and food. We had some wings and cauliflower crust pizza. The wings were on point! Hot and Parmesan garlic. Delicious! We have been going to Sloan's for years and it's past time to review this great restaurant/bar. We had reservations for brunch on Mother's Day for 5 of us. We were greeted immediately and gave our drink orders. Bottomless mimosas for $15!! What a great deal. I ordered the breakfast burrito which I've had a few times before. It never disappoints. Covered in cheese with a side of potatoes ... it's a perfect breakfast that I can never finish! They also have waffles that are the absolute best waffles I've ever had! They are fluffy with the perfect amount of crunch to then. Not too sweet. Just perfect. We had such a great visit. Great little find in downtown Collinsville. Located in an older building so the walls are the original old brick. TV's lined up above the bar. Good variety on the menu. I have been here multiple times and always greeted immediately and a diet Pepsi thrown in front of me before I can even ask. My favorite go to is the mushroom burger. They offer a good variety of sides but the regular fries or the coleslaw is the best. If your feeling like a steak they do have a Ribeye that is really good. Especially on the Sunday brunch menu. Dependable pub food with a good selection room of drafts... about 25 or so. Our party of three enjoyed an order of fish tacos, the fried buffalo chicken horseshoe, and the tequila lime soup. I've been wanting to try this place for quite a while now. It is a very neat environment right on Main Street in downtown Collinsville. The open air dining is kind of cool with the rollup doors and the atmosphere inside is really cool. Their prices are really reasonable for the serving sizes that you get. I got a grilled chicken breast sandwich with a side of sweet potato waffle fries for around $11 and she got the beer batter cod with a side salad. The chicken sandwich was excellent, tender and juicy, however the cat was a disappointment. It was almost completely flavorless and was mushy in the middle (they were battered cod loins, so they were thick). The service was good and the food came out pretty quick. Several times the waitress checked back with us to see if there was anything we needed. I certainly would try here again, just probably would steer clear of the Fried cod! read more

We love Sloan's in Collinsville! It was on our list to hit before we leave Scott AFB. Our kids were involved in Goshen Theatre Project for a few of their recent productions, and with Sloan's being right across the street, we spent a lot of time there. They are known for their open faced horseshoe, the Buffalo chicken is amazing. Their pizzas are true STL style, provel cheese and all. We had both the meat pizza and buffalo chicken. I know you're working so if you don't read this now it's fine lmao but this was my google review if I could give zero stars I would. the worst experience i've ever had at an establishment. the server MADDY was the rudest person I have ever encountered in the service industry. after about 10-15 minutes of waiting at our table she walks up to get us drinks & we ordered too, I ordered a bar drink while celebrating my 25th birthday (which is today, and I was wearing a sash) she checked my ID & didn't say happy birthday but it wasn't super important so I let it go, however, after taking our order she never once came back to check on us, our food took 45 minutes, my friend and I had empty drinks for upwards of 30 minutes & then after getting and eating our food she still had not come by, but was able to check on the table next to us 6 different times that had another coworker and their baby at it. I finally went to the bar to see her chatting with some guests and said we needed refills & the checks, she came over after & we continued to thank her for that. our table was full of tenured servers & bartenders so we still were tipping her even though it was basically little to no service. toward the end while we were paying my friend leaned over to tell her that she was still tipping 22% but that in the future she should give service to everyone not just her friends & also didn't tell me happy birthday even with a sash on. she leaves and comes back after about 5 minutes of i'm assuming working up the courage to say what she said and says "also there are two other bartenders that could've checked on your as well, and it's not my responsibility to tell you happy birthday" then ran away, she got $0 after due to being a flat out disrespectful server. don't waste your money going there, the experience was 0/10 we also planned to place a togo order & order more bar drinks but since we weren't served for a full hour that was out of the question. thank you to tasha who gave me a birthday shot after that but I will not be back and neither will anyone in our party. read more

We really enjoyed our meal here! They were busy but did a great job checking in on us and making sure we were taken care of! For the bottomless mimosas, they brought out a bucket with champagne and a glass over the top. Our waitress brought me a small plastic cup with orange juice and a mini can of pineapple juice. Then I mixed it up to my liking! The Food was very good! The hot chicken n waffles consisted of a fluffy but outside that was crisp. Very flavorful. The chicken was fried well and was flavorful. It says it is tossed in a Memphis dip which is where I'd assume the "hot" part of it would have come in. It was not hot or even a bit of spicy to it. I would have liked more heat...maybe within the syrup or a sauce that was spicy but I would still order it again for sure! The Rise N Shine pizza was excellent as well! It had a perfect crispy n thin crust and all the toppings were wonderful together. My husband and I both agreed this would have been good with a little spice mixed in as well, maybe request some grilled jalapeños to go with it next time or some type of hot sauce drizzle. As far as bar food and drinks go could not recommend this place more. Burgers are great and drinks are well made. When it comes to staff and service, this place sucks. My girlfriend and I have been coming here about once a week for the past few months. Multiple times we have left after about a 30 minute wait with absolutely no service. Today we had immediate service and zero issues until a table was sat outside with the garage door open. When they sat down they immediately started smoking weed and stunk up the whole restaurant. Our waitress walked outside to talk to the table and when asked if she would like to partake in smoking and she gladly did. We were regular customers here. Came once a week. On a few occasions I've had to send the pizza back, because it was burnt and dry. On one of those occasions it as my dad's birthday party pizzas. Good food, horrible service. We have been here many times and gotten poor service but the food was good so we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and go when it was less busy. Still horrible. There were less than a dozen patrons there but we still had to wait for a clean table, drinks, and someone to take our order. I had to ask 3 times for a side of ranch, despite watching the waitress go in and out of the kitchen a number of times after my initial request. My bf was not even offered a drink refill until we were almost ready to leave and it had been empty for a while. The server didn't deliver our food, the kitchen staff did, and the server never even bothered to stop and check that we got everything and if it was ok.
