I would like to rate this office higher but cannot…read more I have been a patient of Dr. Spratford's for almost 10 years and will not go anywhere only because of how great he is as an individual. This review though is for the practice as a whole. Time and time again over the years, this office seems to have suffered the problem of getting too large, too quickly, without enough resources. When they did their major additions and upgrades it took them months to get things together. The staff was/is over-worked and there was too much traffic at all times. Outside of that transition time hasn't been better. Getting in touch with your doctor is difficult. You have to call, leave a message, and often, even if you ask for the doctor, you get a call back from the nurse. Then you have to go through the whole process of leaving a message and waiting again. The staff and RN's have repeatedly gotten my recurring prescriptions wrong when communicating with the pharmacy, sometimes costing me dearly (I will say that the office has resolved this for me with their in house pharmacy, but I had to almost demand it). Out of all of that, my biggest complaint about the office is the general lack of attention to detail. For example, if my doctor leaves town, I have to TELL the doctor filling in to check my chart. To me this should be standard operating procedure. How can you answer a question of a patient if you haven't reviewed their file? They are too busy, without enough administrative staff, and it shows in the quality of assistance I get when I'm not with my doctor. (I'm surprised there's a hidden review here that says pretty much the same thing. I knew when I came on here that I couldn't possibly be the only person who's noticed this problem creep up over the years)

She is young, probably in her 30s, and just very attentative to me. I've seen doctors in the past who were eager to get you in and out, but Dr. Vaughan takes the time to sit down and listen to what you're going through. My most recent visit was in January '08, the reason I didn't really know. I had had a perpetual throat-clearing/cough for at least a year and I was finally getting it checked out. I did some research, and didn't know if it was allergies, asthma, or GIRD. I went in there, she sat down, and said "This is when I get to be a detective and figure out what's going on with you." I thought that was AWESOME! I was in there for an hour an a half, she was running different tests on me, and we figured out that it's possibly allergy-induced asthma, and definitely some allergy issues. I feel a lot better now that we're getting to the bottom of things, and I would recommend her to anyone! Other notes: I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting area to go into a room, which is great. Nothing worse than going to the doctor's office and having to sit and wait (especially when you have an appointment!).

When I arrived at the office there was the usual confusion in the front office area that I have become used to, but overlooked in the past due to the quality of the physicians including Dr. Calub. However today they could not find my appointment and told me I would need to reschedule. I explained my disassisfaction with that option and also shared that I would be out of town the following week. However they continued to only offer me appointments for the following week. I had to ask to speak to a manager to see if one of the other Doctors that I have seen before could assist. The Manager told me all other doctors were full and could not assist and again offered me an appointment for the following week. The combination of the front office team always being disorganized and now flat out rude and unwilling to assist one of their patients has left me with no alternative but to seek a new practice. Think twice about visiting this practice!

This was my 5th round of physical therapy at Riverside Medical for different problems which have all been successful. My Physical Therapist was Allison and she had me back to 100% after only 6 weeks. Allison knows how to rehab injuries and she focuses on doing the exercises correctly and slowly while building up strength around the injury. She always gives me exercises to do at home daily. I am now back to full strength with no apprehension when climbing stairs or squatting. I would highly recommend Riverside Medical Physical Therapy if you want to rehab an injury. The entire staff is helpful and friendly which I appreciate.

This on top of $1300 for Northwestern's fee for the MRI. Sure, BCBS-IL whittled that down to a fraction and then paid it all, but wow... So why is the office staff here so silly? I mean, I enter the office and go up to the desk to check in for my appointment (there's no window). The girl--half my age--talks loudly: "MR. ROBERT S--. YOU'RE HERE FOR DR. SHEPARD? [yes]. IS THIS YOUR FIRST VISIT. [no] NOW, ARE YOU STILL ON --- DRIVE? [no] I NEED FOR YOU TO FILL THIS CARD OUT, OK, MR. S--. [sure] I NEED YOUR INSURANCE CARD AND ID, DEAR." The waiting room is full of patients. Privacy would be nice. "Dear"? I am twice your age, which means you should still be in college. Only women over 60 years old call me "dear." And only hard of hearing people talk as loudly in an office full of patients as you do, dear.

Upon my first appointment with Dr. Hidaka, I was immediately impressed by his "care factor." I am a busy professional in the service industry, so naturally I have high expectations from professionals I choose. I say can with certainty that Dr. Hidaka's approach is unlike any other physician I've encountered. I feel as if he's an old friend who just happens to be a respected and accomplished physician. His care extends beyond "office hours." He frequently checks in with me on past issues, treatment progress, etc. Also, a much-appreciated bonus is that Dr. Hidaka is quick to respond and help even when I'm unable for an office-visits (travel, busy season, etc.). He is really setting the tone for modern health care the way it should be in our busy society.

I actually had to go through the insurance provider who required that the staff person give us an appointment. 4 stars for Dr. Sirinian - She was kind, helpful, and very patient and really spent a lot of time getting to know my mother and attending to her multiple health issues. My mother really likes Dr. Sirinian and, if it weren't for the bad experience with her office staff, I would have rated the provider much higher. If you could manage to get an appointment with Dr. Sirinian, I would recommend her as a provider. Perhaps she just needs a new front office staff.
