While the hair is great both the service and Management are poor. I went to the store on a Monday to purchase a closure. At the time I had another weave in my hair but was going to reuse. I asked the employee to assist me with a match. Because I can't comb out the weft I had to take the young lady word. I went to get an install that Thursday and it's was 2 different textures. That's not even the problem for me...the concern was the lack of professionalism received when I called the store. Basically I was told the texture will change over time. Not sure how a curl will change to a wave. Guess I'm stuck. But every chance I get I will post about their horrible service. A women's hair means a lot to her and if not done right it can hurt her self esteem, the lack of sympathy and empathy shown really put a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I love this place! It has everything from natural hair care to eyebrows. They also have the options of you buying hair and getting it installed the same day. I've been going to the owner Rhonita Fields for some time now for my natural hair care and I am never dissatisfied. I love the upgraded shop and the Marilyn Monroe theme. They offer refreshments and even a nice break area. The service is professional. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the website is a little outdated. But you can always set an appt. I'm just one of those people who prefer to call. Also check out their Maintenance plan, it's nice to know your appts ahead of time and on time instead of trying to squeeze in. Please read this to save yourself some money. I purchased from this company twice before with no issues. Actually I stopped purchasing from other Local DC vendors because they offered the cosmetology discount which they no longer offer. Anyway I purchased a closure from this company and OMG Was that a mistake!!!! I got my hair professionally done. My Stylest bleached my closure knots with no problem. A few days after my install I started to notice my hair in my closure was shedding. I went a few more days and noticed that it did not stop shedding. I contacted the company and the manager said that I needed to send her a copy of my receipt. I did so; she did not respond back to me so I called her back. Her response was my receipt was passed the seven day return policy. I explained to her that my closure should not have bald spots after 14 days of purchasing the closure. She was not willing to rectify the situation. I came down to the local store front and showed her my closure and she told me it was nothing she could do because my knots had been bleached. I am very big on customer service and a company standing behind their products so I feel if a customer has a problem; the company should do it's best to rectify the situation to satisfy the customers needs. Needless to say I will never purchase anything from this company again and I suggest you do the same. Two local DC vendors that I recommend that I should've stuck with is Johann virgin hair excellent customer service & her imports also great customer service. read more

I've actually been to this salon twice so far. Both times for Keratin Treatments. Rhonita is amazing. Not only did she make my hair feel good and look good, but she also talked to me about hair care. I think they are a bit pricey compared to NY (I recently relocated to the DMV area and you may not believe it but I was getting Keratin Treatments for less than $200) but definitely worth the money. Rhonita is professional but personable. And thanks to her my hair is healthier than ever (it's even grown a few inches since I started seeing her). read more

This salon is HORRIBLE extremely unprofessional and downright shady. I found this place on groupon for a keratin treatment I was very please with the job. The second time I went here was to get a weave Jasmine did a decent job. I booked an appointment for a third time to get a weave install the day before a trip I was taking to Miami. I show up to the shop and when I get there I was told by the owner rhonita and the shop manager that jasmine was out sick. Mind you I received no phone call from anyone to let me know this nor was I rescheduled with someone else. So at this point I am very upset and I told them I have a flight tomorrow morning and my hair is not done. They kind of just looked at me like I was speaking another language I asked is there anyone else that could possibly helped me Rhonita says with an attitude of course well I mean I guess I could do your hair but I charge more than 150 for sew ins typically 250-300. I was disgusted at this point not only did you completely drop the ball with my appt but you also expect me to pay more because of a mistake your shop made I said well that Is ridiculous because I only pay jasmine 150 she says well I can come down to 200 buts that's it I was desperate at this point so I just agreed but then she goes on to say well I have an appt to look at a new car at a car dealership at 7pm so you will have to come back to the shop after that. Ummm excuse me so now I have to wait for you to take care of personal ventures AND pay you more for a mistake your shop made but like I said I was desperate so I agreed. The shop manager tells me he would give me a call .8...9....10...11 comes around I still hear nothing from them luckily a friend that I was going on the trip with had a cousin that could do my hair so I just said screw it close to 12 I finally here from the shop manager and I let him know they inconvenienced me and how unprofessional they were I and I would no longer be a customer the shop manager just said sorry and left it at that no offers of discounts or incentives to make up for the piss poor display of customer service the hair they do is just ok definitely not worth the gross unprofessional ism and downright ghetto business practices I was very disgusted with this place don't waste your money here !! read more
