Parking is free, but this shopping center is busy, so you'll be lucky if you get a space right out front, otherwise, there's plenty of parking spaces within walking distance. There is a generous parking lot shared with neighboring businesses in this shopping area. All employees greeted customers and provided what I felt was an appropriate amount of attention to them and kept the check out line to a minimum. Anyone who has shopped here knows when there is a sale on certain items, the store can be crowded and the line to the center of the store. My cashier was attentive and even notified me that a product I had selected was damaged. She was patient as it was swapped out and wrapped everything up to make sure my purchase remained intact in transit. Shopping in store is cool, but sometimes you're busy and Bath and Body Works offers an option to order online and pick up in store. Delivery is another option but I've found it to be cumbersome and the free shipping codes can't be stacked with other promotion coupons. In store, you can stack offers. Using their app, you can earn rewards and have access to digital coupons. I try not to get a basket when I shop here because I'll leave with so many things that weren't on my original lists of things. Their hand moisturizers and mini hand sanitizers make great stocking stuffers or gifts for that coworker who doesn't wash their hands as often as needed.

I have no need to spend my money at places where I am not treated fairly or where I am perceived as a "person to watch". While we were browsing the hair color aisle, he came up right beside us without saying "excuse me" and began restocking dye around us, grunting as if we were in his way. When I asked if he was the owner, he replied curtly, "No, I'm the manager," while rolling his eyes. I asked if he greets customers when they come in. He became agitated and yelled, "WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?" I explained I'd been in the day before and asked again about basic courtesy. He snapped, "It's too early. Don't talk, just buy." I told him I won't be buying anything and dropped the items in hand on the floor. He then told me not to come back (which I wasn't planning on returning anyway). Before I left I let him know that if he cannot treat his customers whom are all black, with respect, professionalism and kindness to get out our neighborhoods. As a Black customer, we often support Asian establishments while feeling disrespected knowing we're treated certain ways because of our race. No one should be treated with this level of hostility in a place of business and the bottom line is that we need to stop supporting them! Since they think so poorly of us, they should take their businesses to other communities and see how well that works out for them!

Located in Capital Heights, at my first appointment, it was kind of hard to spot. Be aware of the parking, as some of the spots are assigned. Upon walking in, use the door on the right to access the nail salon. Appointments are made online, and Tenecia prefers that appointments are made at the half hour only. No problems there. Nice selection of colors to choose from, and the place is clean. I noticed that Tenecia takes the time to clean the bowl in between clients, which I totally dig. Also, she uses new new tools, like emery boards, and buffers for each person. My first appointment was a gel mani (with designs of course) and a pedi. Let me tell you, it was one of thee best pedicures that I have EVER had. She is absolutely excellent at what she does. I loved the gel manicure as well, because she actually does a manicure; you know soaks the hands, trims the cuticles, massage, and the like. She totally takes her time. My nails were shaped beautifully, and they actually grew! Woop! My only issue, is that my mani didn't last as long as I would have expected, but that could totally be me, because I'm super hard on my nails. Oh, another plus is that she totally accommodated me (in between clients) when I chipped my toe...see uber hard on my nails. No matter here though; because, my services were done well, and it is fairly priced. I will definitely be returning.

Also I wasn't positive as to how to book nail designs, but Tenicia explained with no problem and now I know what to do when scheduling. Even with this, she was still able to accommodate me within my appointment time. I really appreciated that. I read a few reviews about Tenicia's attitude, but I didn't have an issue. She wasn't talkative, but I wasn't really looking for that. She came off as professional and cordial and that was perfectly acceptable in my book. I really enjoyed the service and the work was awesome. The work was fast, but high quality. The first time I got my hair done at Sacred Lox I was really excited because one of my VERY picky friends recommended the salon and Rhonita. I had a short cut that I was trying to grow out so I chose to get a full sewn in. When I went in, Rhonita and Michelle were both very pleasant and answered all of my questions. I was hesitant about getting my hair cornrowed (some people braid so tight) but once Michelle started I did not feel any pain at all! Once my hair was all braided up, Rhonita put the net on and went to work!!! She did a FABULOUS job with my swoop (my signature look) and I have been a loyal customer since September 2013. She is a master cutter (I tent to stick with bobs), curler...well everything LOL. I love the fact that she still take classes to learn new techniques too. Anyone who is that good and still want to improve and learn new things is definitely someone I want to put the care of my hair in. I can't wait for her to put her hands on my head for my upcoming wedding in August. read more

Best place in the DMV to purchase great hair bundles by "Sacred Lox Hair". I purchased the Brazilian Body Wave hair bundle. First, I had a wig cap created with the hair I purchased then after about a month I decided that I wanted to have the hair colored a cherry red. My stylist Shonita did an amazing job coloring the hair. The hair by Scared Lox accepted the red hair coloring better than my natural hair has every accepted color. My wig is almost a year old and it's still gorgeous. Additionally, the stylist started blow-drying my hair without applying a heat protectant. I had to request that it be used, which should be standard practice. Clients should not have to ask for basic hair care measures. I also found the pricing to be excessive for the level of service provided. Certain treatments, such as deep conditioning, are not included in some services and come at an additional cost. During my appointment, the stylist was whispering and gossiping with another stylist, which felt unprofessional. Overall, the salon appears to charge for many add-ons while not delivering a level of service that justifies the cost. Due to the poor customer service and lack of value, I would not recommend this salon.
