The Clear already coming off and just look awful literally a day after.
    Nelson M.

I was there for a simple manicure but the service is so poor that my nails already started to look bad a day after. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. The vibe isn't it either.

UPDATE: responding to salon: not true, designs do last with reg. polish. I've been getting them for years. Thats only one issue though. After a short time, I have to touch up toes before vacay because worker didn't polish at top of toe. Again, I wish I could load pics. I really liked this place especially the guy at front desk but I won't be going back because of the nickeling & dimeing. First they said they don't do designs on big toes unless it's gel polish. Now, the price has doubled & when I said no they tried to charge me extra for polishing half of the big toes. No price listed. I provide my own polish which saves them money & I saved her time on drilling. Plus, they move on to another client & forget all about you. I had to request a check on toes & removal of toe separators. Tech. didn't put on shoes afterwards. Techs used to go above & beyond. NOTE: designs were done at another salon.

Just moved to the area and decided to try this salon. I booked online late the night before. Jen did my pedicure and Tommy did my nails. I really enjoyed both! I have found my new salon. It's really clean and they abide by COVID-19 guidelines. They take your temp then send you to wash your hands. They also disinfected the whole pedicure chair after each client. The front desk guy also disinfected the commonly touched spaces at the sink and front several times while I was there. I will definitely return.

Wendy is really great at her job. I've been to her several times and she's always so consistently amazing with my nail service. Book with Wendy y'all!

I was very weary about coming here after seeing the star rating here but my daughter chose this place one day and she couldn't stop raving about the customer service so I decided to give it a try. I've been here twice now (each time completely different types of services) and think I've have enough experience to give my feedback: Cleanliness: top notch! Hands down. In the age of COVID this is ofcourse something we all pay more attention to these days. No acrylic dust on the floor, all the seats are wiped down in between service, your temp is checked upon entering, to avoid crowds in the front they are implementing appointment only. They spray a disinfectant on everything throughout the day, they seat people 6 ft apart as you're being serviced, you're required to immediately your hands upon entering, everyone working there is masked up. The pedicure bowls are cleaned ASAP, and they use a plastic covering for each client then remove it immediately. 5 stars! Customer service: I booked online. First things first, excellent option! It was easy, seamless and they followed up with a text. They put the prices online so you can budget ahead of time. I even forgot to add pedicure to my last appt and they accommodated me. Manicure: first time I went I got a full manicure with gel only. I previously went to another shop and was furious bc three days into my manicure my gel started chipping which is a big NO. Gel is supposed to last. My gel from HERE lasted the intended two weeks, and it could have honestly gone longer but I wanted a refresh before the holiday. SECOND visit I wanted length but my major concern was the health of my natural nail. HELEN told me about the press on option and I was delighted and I LOVE my nails! (Pics attached) Pedicure: both visits I got a pedicure (and my daughter had a pedicure when she went). Her pedicure lasted for a whole as she's a teen and goes less often. They take their time, lots of color options (which are organized). Also, they don't have everyone touching all on the polishes...only the front desk attendant. Ambiance: again, clean, neat, friendly, music playing, decor nice. Honestly the only thing I see that could be a negative is their pricing is a tad bit higher than other places but it's worth it. I happily paid and tipped because they deserved it. Oh and maybe parking. Depending on what time you go, parking could be challenging as the area has gotten much more busier. You may can't park directly in front depending on the time you go. All in all, I'm literally very confused about some of the negative reviews, this place is worth every star. Keep up the excellent service you guys. Seriously.

    $25 polish change

Popped in here for a gel polish change . There was no wait and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The lady that did my polish change was going to paint over the clear polish I already had on my nails. I had to let her know that I wanted her to drill the polish off and then she could polish it. Once I let her know that, everything was cool and she did a good job. One thing I will note is that a gel polish change is $25 dollars. If my nails weren't in desperate need of a new color, I probably wouldn't have paid that and went elsewhere. In all, I'd give this experience 3.5 stars. And I probably would return if I have another nail emergency.

I've been here on 3 different occasions and seen 3 different people and this will be the last time. I had a pedicure once that was good but I've been in search of a new nail technician and for some reason it's so hard in PG. Today I went in for a pink and white fill and my nails still look like they need to be filled. I promise they will be lifting my next week. I didn't want to drive all the way to VA anymore but looks like I'm going to have too. The lady tried to cut my nails at first with out even asking. Then told me I need a whole new set and I JUST got this set at Modern Nail spa Dec 20th. Like a whole new set. I wish they would not just try and take our money but tell us when they can't do work sufficiently. Not all my nails are smooth their a bit bumpy in places. They already look like their growing out and I JUST GOT THEM DONE TODAY. I'm not new to this and they treat us like we don't know what we're talking about. I normally have my nails sculptured so I'm NOT NEW. I'm just tired of them trying to half ass work and take our money and half ass the work. But also want me to tip you in cash so your taxes are less. Freaking sad. Look at these pictures. I literally just left there. This isn't even days old and when I try to explain to her what I meant she acted like she didn't really understand. IM DONE

I rarely write a review...but I had to. I'll admit I was hesitant to come here based on some reviews but I am so glad I did. Tommy was super nice to me and took his time with my nails and paid very close attention to detail. I don't think my nails have ever looked this good. He even fixed the nasty job the shop before had done. I will be going back to him.

Today I went to get my nails done and I fell in love with the results. The woman who made them very kind to me and she knows how to do her job very well. Her name is Helen and I loved the results. Of course I will go again.

Rather than redo them all I opted not to have them all done. Is it really so hard to polish toes and not file off your cuticle beds to correct the mistake?

Good pics on Yelp, poor communication and treatment/ hospitality…read more. I called to schedule an appointment to ensure they had time for me and they answered yes. I walked in, was rushed to pick a color instead of greeted. Said I could grab some water, which was nice. The mumbling in Viet started as soon as I sat down, could really make you feel out of place. (Just because someone doesn't know the language doesn't mean they don't hear the tone and can pick up on context.) Cut me twice, apologized, and a couple other hiccups that I won't bother to mention. She lightened up throughout time, but I may have to give it a second thought before going again.. I still tipped well because the actual nails came out good. (My total ~$96.00)Not to my like, as she was not easy to tell what I wanted done. Lady came in right to the end of my service with an appointment, and needed to get acetone removed from her hands that lady doing my nails had wrapped in foil and said, "excuse me- can you--" (I'm sure her hands were either hurting or were uncomfortable), and lady doing my nails interrupted her loudly in front of the whole salon, to say she's almost done with me. I felt terrible for her since she had an appointment on top of that. The fact that there's a lot of competitors for you (Nova nails) should push you to improve in timing and care with how you talk to clients and be careful about what you say you can and can not do for a service. I'm still looking for a place that is both well at communicating with clients, and has the skill set for an awesome set. Please remember to treat people kindly. How you make someone feel is really important.

It shouldn't be this hard to get, and keep my nails done…read more Most of the nail technicians in here are (artistically) talented, however it's SO HARD to make an appointment. I have shared my concerns with the owner and asked her to implement an online scheduling system. She expressed reservations due to the fact that customers may not know what they want, booking one service online and then coming in expecting another. It's a shame to have such a valuable and sought-after product, but simultaneously making it so difficult for customers to get their hands on that product. Booking an appointment has become somewhat of a guessing game. I give them a date and a time of my desired appointment. They tell me that my preferred nail tech is not available, but NEVER say UNTIL WHEN. So I throw out another date. Same thing: Not available. On and on it goes. Instead of providing me with options (namely, telling me the next available date for my preferred nail tech, or other nail techs who have availability at that same day and time), they repeat what they don't have available, or ask me to blindly pick another nail tech that I've never worked with (I don't even know their names because I've never worked with them, so how can I be expected to pick them?). So I'm expected to be both psychic and memorize the roster of the staff here... Just to get an appointment?! In order to book appointments I had to call multiple times over multiple days until someone was able to give me enough information to book an appointment, reach out to the owner on Instagram, and even drive all the way to the nail salon.... JUST TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I tried to make an appointment prior to the holidays before everything got booked up. Myself and another customer stood in line for at least 20 minutes in a practically empty nail salon while the owner's mother did someone's nails before she finally addressed us. Even then, she only handed us a register paper and told us to write down what services we wanted and when we wanted to come in, telling us that someone would call us to confirm (which never happened, by the way). We could have saved a lot of time if she had just asked us to do that and leave the paper on the counter while she finished her customer. After waiting 3 days, I finally called the salon and was told that they did not have my appointment request. Not surprising, given that it was scribbled on a piece of receipt paper that was given to me. Somebody probably threw away thinking that it was trash without following up. I tried to book my next two appointments to avoid this headache and was told that in order to book an appointment with my preferred nail tech, I now have to follow her on social media and DM her to try to book an appointment with her there. REALLY?! Instead of scraps of paper, or having to stalk somebody on Instagram, why not keep an old school appointment book, or even one online? It's really not that hard. These nail techs are also not great with time management. Many of my appointments have had to be rescheduled... For the middle of my work day. (Thank goodness for remote work) One of the (now former) nail techs completely forgot about my appointment and passed me off to somebody else without even acknowledging me or her oversight. Another nail tech pressured me into making an appointment earlier than I wanted, only for her to show up 45 minutes after the appointed time. No phone call, no update, no communication whatsoever. Just me sitting there wondering if this was another canceled appointment that they forgot to communicate to me. I say "another" because I had an appointment with the same technician that she canceled, but the salon did not leave me a message to let me know. The only way I found out is because I wanted to add something onto my existing appointment and when I called the salon, I was told that I no longer had an appointment because that person decided not to work that day. In addition to horrendous time management and the hoops you have to jump through to get an appointment, the nail retention is also poor... And ultimately that's why I chose to get my services done elsewhere. Like I said, artistically some of these nail techs do a good job, but in terms of actual quality of work... Not so much. I tried to make it work, because finding a new nail salon can be a pain. However, I started experiencing substantial lifting of my nails after practically every appointment. At one point, I even developed nail fungus under my acrylic, which one of the nail techs ignored completely and just covered with acrylic, and another who tried to tell me "That's not nail fungus, it's bacteria". Whatever it is, it's not supposed to be under my nails... And it wouldn't be if the work was done correctly. Aesthetically, this is one of the nicer looking nail salons in the area, but looks are deceiving. This salon presents a lot of challenges from a booking, customer service, and quality of work perspective.

I held it together and didn't say anything because I assumed it was from her soaking my nails, but when she got to the hand she didn't soak, it still hurt and that's when I realized it wasn't the soak. it hurt me soooooooo bad. but I held it in because I just needed my nails done. Even today the next day, each and every one of my nails hurt. I'm scared I will get contact dermatitis. After now reading other reviews, I notice in the pictures, that same hand that did my nails. And it looks like she's been there for years, so honestly in my opinion, if I were the owner, I'd fire her and help/hire a new nail tech graduate. They'd probably do better, and yall would probably have less bad reviews. The owner Lillian was very nice and had a calming aura. And I wish the best for her! If I were her I'd look into new hires, because for a black business owner, I want better for her shop.... Back to the review: She shaped my nails so horribly. they were uneven, the French tip itself was terrible, I could've done a better job if I did them myself ( which I have before).she left polish on the sides of my nails, the acrylic also was all over my fingers, and as well as my cuticles. I literally went home and took out my nail file to shape them evenly and more precise. I don't know if it's because I do my own nails sometimes, but I'm very precise on the shape and details. which I feel like what I asked for was very simple. she kept asking me what color I want for my base or for the chrome powder. but I just feel like that's her job to do. I guess I can appreciate it because then I can have exactly what I ask for. but I feel like that's the whole point of the picture. I also had to take the nail file myself and shape one of my nails because she ignored the fact that it was very uneven. which honestly I don't mind, and it wasn't a big deal; but at the end of the day I feel like I shouldn't have to do that. they also allowed a customer to walk in 45 minutes past their closing time and asked for a pedicure. cool, but the other nail tech asked her if that was fine with her, and she said yes, and after that everything seemed rushed. I felt like she started rushing to finish my nails. i go through phases where I do my own nails, and sometimes I go through phases where I prefer to just pay for the convenience of someone else doing them because it obviously takes longer when I do them on myself. I don't know, it just gave that she was maybe new to doing nails, because they looked how I used to do them when I first started. I understand it's a business and they need their money, but for an almond shaped French tip being $100 when they looked worse than I would've done, I was disappointed. by the time I was done and ready to pay, I honestly just shut up and paid the money and left because i had already been there much longer than I expected and was ready to do. and I also knew the chances of me going back there are probably 0%.I may have another instance where I go with my friend to get her hair done and I need my nails done close by again, but I'll probably just go to the nail shop across the street. Overall, everybody was very nice, and I probably could have spoken up and they would've taken it well, but like I said I was ready to just leave. but everyone that I interacted with was very nice to ME. although I will say, there were two nail techs who were talking poorly about a customer who had just left loud enough for everyone to hear which I thought was terrible customer service. I work in hospitality, and its fine to have those conversations with coworkers in private, but very unprofessional to do it infront of other guests. I could sense that the nail techs aside from the lady who did mine had their familiar regulars, so they probably do much better work, and have better rapport. but as a first timer, I was disappointed. so im just taking the time to write this for the owner/manager to simply be reminded to be mindful of the environment, and potentially give my nail tech some more practice. do I recommend? not personally. like I said, the other nail techs may do a better job than what I received so I won't speak on the whole staff. but the bad mouthing a customer after she left infront of everyone should probably be discussed and avoided.

I called at 1 PM and asked to schedule an appointment for 2 pedicures at 5 PM. The employee told me no problem please come at 5 then. Upon arriving the shop was bustling and busy but we waited after checking in. It took until 5:40 to be placed in a chair and then at 5:55 with my feet still soaking I asked how long would the pedicure take? They told me 45 min but I had to leave by 6:15-6:20 so I told them I'd have to go instead of getting my toes done. No one had set up. No one had spoken to me about the service. They put me in a chair and had my feet soaking when I said I needed to go. I promptly offered to pay for just the soak because I had a time constraint and had to go. It is now 6:05 and the service hasn't been started. Immediately the woman who owns the shop was rude and standoffish when I said I had to go, again I called about coming at 5 AND offered to pay for the soak. She just grunted and didn't respond then proceeded to loudly and obviously begin talking about me to her coworkers about my asking to leave (including pointing at me). Taking my feet out the soak I asked for a towel. She grabbed the used, dirty towel someone had just left on the next chair over then just threw it on the floor. DISGUSTING. I was happy to pay for the soak and come back the next day when I had time. Now I'll never be back. Dirty and rude. Highly recommend skipping out of coming here.

Awful. They botched my nails and 3 of 10 broke in 4 days. I returned to see if they could just soak…read moremy powder off and they said they were closing early. I asked if they could just start my soak off since they had other clients waiting and they said no they were closing. I then said could they soak off tomorrow morning and they said they were closed try another shop. The attitude was horrible and nasty.
