I've seen better SM malls around the Philippines. Wasn't amazed here. Crowd is obnoxious and place feels overhyped as the rest of BGC.

Beautiful SM in BGC. Not sure how new it is but lots of trendy stores and food spots for your enjoyment. Just a little smaller than I'm normally accustomed to for SM malls. They love their mall culture in the Philippines and it reminds me of the early 80's in the US when malls were still packed with visitors and peeps keeping up with joneses. Tried some small Chinese spot that was like a poor man's Din Tai Fung and the food was good. Want to say it was on the 2nd level. Hope to visit again soon when I'm in BGC again. read more

This mall has the trendy stores you will find states side. Felt like I was home in California. Although the malls are definitely better in the Philippines!!! The busy vibe of the malls is amazing. So many levels! So many food options. I'm so impressed with how the Philippines runs there shopping centers. Security at every entrance. Ample taxi , motorcycle or Grab ... it can get busy and a slight wait for a ride, but it's bearable. My favorite go-to mall over other malls near the area such as Uptown Mall, Greentbelt, Glorietta, and Mall of Asia. It's new, clean, has great stores & restaurants, and doesn't get overwhelmingly crowded like the other malls. It's pretty new in comparison to the other malls I mentioned and is located in my favorite area, BGC the Fort. With six floors, this upscale mall has so much to offer. My favorite stores to shop in are Uniqlo, Kiehls, and they also have IMAX theaters, Directors Club, a nice toy store, book store, make up stores, and cute hobby shops for photographers like myself. What I really enjoy most about SM Aura is huge selection of restaurants to choose from... I've always frequented Niu, a high end buffet located in the top floor and I love this place because they offer so many different international cuisines and the food is DELICIOUS. Did I mention that the buffet is only 1,000php? It may be pricier compared to other buffet places but to foreigners like me, this place is a steal! It's also very clean and upscale. And if it's your birthday, you get to eat for free! They also serve yummy Filipino desserts as well. TRY this place for lunch or dinner next time you're there. My next favorite restaurant is Paul. They serve French dishes and also have a bread bar where you can order sandwiches and pastries. Haven't been able to explore the whole menu yet but everything I've tried so far is delicious. What I personally like about this mall is that it's very close to where I live. (Distance over loyalty, sorry SM Megamall.) When I first came to this mall, only a few stores had just opened. Some of them the shops were still renovating or fixing up their stores. But even then, I already knew that this mall was going to be full of those European Fashion stores which are the more expensive ones. But there are some normal priced stores here too. Oh I forgot to mention, this place is a shopper's dream and men's worst nightmare. There's a Forever 21 store with two floors, a Uniqlo with three, and a dozen more place that sells clothes, bags, shoes, and other accessories. Men, you will be tired after visiting this place if you come shopping with your girlfriend. So I suggest you find your seats early, they get filled fast. For the Ladies, this place will give you a lot of choices. Even though this mall is filled with fashion stores, it still has those mall essentials like an optical eye ware store, sports equipment, appliances, and all the other kinds of stores you would find in a mall. Another great thing that this mall has is their Skypark that is just filled with new and exciting restaurants that are waiting to be tried. SM Malls and I have a rather shaky and turbulent relationship, so to say that I was skeptical and a bit derisive when SM Aura was being built would be an understatement. I can even recall the schadenfreude when I heard that the whole parking area got flooded immediately after the mall opened after a pretty heavy downpour. But then my girlfriend invited me to SM Aura, since she worked in the area. As I strolled through the shiny, wide, and most importantly EMPTY thoroughfares, I was reminded of that Mark Twain quote: "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." And have you been to their cinemas? I lived in BGC (Bonifacio Global City) in Taguig, Metro Manila for more than 2 years. Very accessible, easy to get a taxi, no heavy traffic. I love it here! There are varieties of stores to choose from , from high end to budget friendly ones ^_^ and if you like to go to the mall and shop, malls like this- SM Aura and Market2x are only few walks away, if you wanna exercise for a little bit ^_^ What I love about this mall, aside from it's convenience from where I live, is it's beauty! This mall is quite classy compare to some other SM malls.They have high end brands in here, nice restaurants and even fast-food places inside. If you wanna watch a movie, they have good theaters here including a huge IMAX theater. It's a good place to be for family bonding , catching up with friends or if you just want to relax and unwind. Reward yourself for a spa or salon make over. Anything you can think of. The development includes the Skypark, a multi-level green roof. It has al fresco bars & restaurants, sculptures and botanical gardens, a 1,000-seat performance hall called Samsung Hall and the 250-seat Chapel of San Pedro Calungsod. If you're a Catholic, you can attend your Sunday mass here. We like their grocery store here too! Hubby and I always have a great time doing grocery shopping in here, he loves how cheerful and accommodating all the staffs are..what's cool about it, unlike the stores here in the US, (that you have to look if there's an available cashier in the checkout counter) ALL of our check out counters in SM are ALWAYS filled with cashier and even baggers to help you make your shopping experience even more convenient! And they even assist you, carry your groceries outside where you can get a taxi..if you want to use the exit on the other side, there's a waiting area there with seats, you just wait for your turn while the guard gets a taxi available for you! How amazing right?? ONLY IN THE PHILIPPINES!!!! You would not have a hard time to park if you have a car, because their parking area is conveniently located at the basement of the mall. BGC is great. But it's hot. Really fucking hot. On your average May day, walking around feels like passing through the feiry pits of hell. And for car owners, it isn't really any better - parking is like DRIVING through the feiry pits of hell. So really, all the outdoor fun places are great during the nighttime, but at day it's like you're turning into toast. That's why Aura makes the ideal place to, well, do whatever you want during the daytime. It hits the three most important components of malls that me, a young male, needs: - Really cold aircon. - Food. - Elevators. Really, what more could you want? That's pretty much everything. Yeah, there's plenty of those tootsy-frootsy fancy clothing shops, but in the heat of the day, really, Aura makes a great airconditioner. I remember when people found out SM was building a mall in BGC, they were freaking out because they thought it would cheapen the property. Everyone was pleasantly surprised when SM Aura Premiere opened because it was a high-end version of the usual SM mall. They have a good variety of shops and I think they did a pretty good job in zoning these shops according to what they sell. They also have the big brands like Uniqlo, Forever 21, Cotton On, Crate and Barrel, and more. The cinemas are also good although the IMAX isn't as big as I would have liked. Another plus is that they have a lot of parking spaces if you don't mind walking a bit or going down to the third basement. They also have a nice food court with more high-end food choices like Pepper Lunch, Sbarro, Brasas, and more. read more

Like SM Aura. I love you and you are classy AF. But you're a mall - a big, bourgeois comprador, capital S, capital M mall. You are unhealthy, like the Christian Gray to my consumerist Anastasia tendencies. And I just let you whip me all over my greedy ass. PROS: From the outside, SM Aura's architecture is quite awe-inducing. It' hard to miss with its L-shaped building that you can spot while driving along C5. When you go in, it's as impressive with its cool and modern interiors and high-end shops; The location is very accessible for the southern Manila person. It's smack in the middle of Bonifacio Global City; We're really impressed by the selection of shops and establishments. We came for the Magnum Café but we'll be returning again and again for its other restaurants and shopping places. My inner burgis goddess is doing the salsa. CONS: It's not as huge as what is usually expected of the typical SM mall in Manila, but it makes up for it with style that's usually associated with Ayala malls. TL;DR: SM Aura is my five-star mall which I so shamefully admit and patronize. read more

While it's a little out of the way, my family has recently been going to SM Aura to unwind on Sunday afternoons. We usually do our errands in places like Quezon and I think that how we're willing to go in the opposite direction just to go to a mall says something about the quality of the mall. It's a very fancy mall, and unlike the usual SM branches, it's not teeming and flooding with people. It has gotten a bit popular as of late, but you won't be that stressed out about the crowd, which is important for my introvert siblings (who I am stuck with when I roam around malls). They've got all big, fancy, international brands, and they're still expanding. SM Aura provides a nice respite from the usual BGC heat, and unlike Megamall, parking isn't too hard to find, even on a Sunday. The chapel on the top floor gets very crowded though, so I hope they expand it somehow or hold more masses people can go to. read more

SM Aura indeed is a level up from your typical SM Malls. After having a hearty lunch at Niu, we strolled along the mall. Instantly you will notice that the shops here are not catered towards your average Filipino (unless you save a lifetime's worth!) TAG Heuer, Rolex, Salomon, and Oakley are few of the stored I could rememebr. I brought my game face on and went to the TAG Heuer store and asked their Formula 1 (and brazen enough to also ask their Carerra). Needless to say, I will wait until my 40th birthday. =) read more

Oh, so many things to say about the corporation behind this mall but I would rather not go there. This review will mainly focus on SM Aura and nothing more because expressing my litany of opinions could very well turn into a disaster. (Okay I should shut up now) Okay, the best things about this mall: 1. Forever 21: Cheap, stylish clothes that could make a 30-year old look like a 20-year old. 2. Top Shop: Love the clothes here, hate the prices. 3. Kultura: Massive store filled with the best items you can place in a balikbayan box or maleta. 4. Director's Club: Nice comfortable seats, comes with popcorn and the best surround sound system in town. In other words, san ka pa? 5. The Food Court: Perhaps this is the only food court where you can get Latin American food. There are other shops to mention but I'm not familiar with the names, and I guess this is why people like to come here. They see shops they've never seen before and it makes the shopping experience feel brand new. read more

To be honest, I absolutely dislike SM and everything that it stands for. To be even more honest, I am actively boycotting a lot of its malls. But, in the spirit of fairness, I am going to objectively review this mall. I work in the area so I sort of hang out at this mall almost everyday. In a word, SM Aura Premier is intimidating in every sense of the word. To date, it's the Queen Bee and the It Girl of all the SM malls. It's kind of high-end (at least for the likes of me), they only have the most exclusive, most expensive retail shops and restaurants. So if you're jonesing for a Pao Tsin or a Hen Lin or a Dunkin Donut...excuse me while I laugh at your face. No, sweetie, you're not gonna find any of those here. On the bright side, if you're feeling fancy or g-l-a-m-o-r-o-u-s, then this is the place for you. Go ahead, I'm not gonna judge. As far as service and posh-ness go, this mall is definitely top-notch. read more

Whenever I'm in the mood to shop, I make a beeline towards SM Aura in Fort Bonifacio. Dubbed as the first ever high-end SM Mall, SM Aura Premier is a shopping haven for those who are in the mood to burn some cash. All the fashion brands I love like Stradivarius, Uniqlo, Topshop, Kiehls, Forever 21 and more are housed under one roof and within walking distance from one other. Home and decor stores like Living Well, L'indochine, Kultura Filipino, Ace Hardware also have branches in the mall. High-end brands such as Hoodwink, Joseph, TM Lewin, J. Lindeberg can also be found there. There's a supermarket and a Wine Depot! What more can one really ask for? SM Aura is also home to tons of interesting food concepts like Ramen Nagi, Viking's, Kettle, Paul and that's only scratching the surface. Without a doubt, there's really something for everyone in SM Aura. read more

Metro Manila is the shopping mall mecca of the country and SM AURA is definitely a top contender for one of the shiniest (at least until the Ayala figure out yet another way to top it, which it inevitably will, as part of the big mall war). The interiors and stores are definitely targeted for the more affluent shoppers out there, although there are a lot of franchisees which are within reach of a bargain hunter's budget, like Forever 21 and the SM department store's own in-house brands. A fashion-savvy friend of mine admits that she first goes window shopping at the more high-end boutiques before spending her money at the high street stores, simply because it puts her in a better sartorial mood. The mall is a bit of a long way from where I live and I've only gone here once to help someone haul a lot of native goodies at the Kultura store. We were pleasantly surprised to find that this local boutique had a wide range of goodies, not just the kitschy ones. They carried freshwater pearls and even some South Sea pearls that were nicely set with gold and diamonds (definitely a credit card purchase). If you're lucky, you can even find real snakeskin clutches and purses at 50% off. Going around the mall was a rather nice experience because of the airy floor plan and almost zilch crowds (we went on a weekday noon). read more

SM Aura is SM Prime's latest shopping mall located at the edge of the fort close to the c5 and Market Market. Convenient to get to, but such a hassle to leave! The traffic in front of market market always causes a huge traffic jam, so I avoid visiting this mall during rush hours, impossible to get a cab as well. That is the only reason why I give this mall 4 and not 5 stars. Everything else is perfect; interesting architectural shape from the outside, the amazing rooftop grass patch and compared to market market it's such a breeze to walk through the mall since I have never seen it being crowded. It makes me feel like I'm in a modern Singapore mall again :) My favorite stores are crate&barrel, kultura, paul and the supermarket which has a large variety of fruits&veg. read more

I really love strolling around SM Aura because the mall is not only nice but there's just so much stores to see! The location of the place is nice too. I personally like going to Fort because of the vibe of the whole area. It's like a mini city! The mall is beautifully designed both interiorly and exteriorly. It doesn't feel cramped because it has open spaces and high ceilings. Another thing I noticed about newly opened SM malls is the smell. They have this certain aroma that just really smells good! I don't know how to describe it but when I enter the mall, I just know it's SM! There are multiple stores here so it's really fun to shop. The brands are really good too. Another cool thing about this mall is that it has so much restaurants. There's a very wide selection! Most of the time, my family and I go here to eat dinner! read more

Ahhh I love SM Aura! I was skeptical as it was first being built because, gosh, another shopping area in the BGC area? Wasn't Market Market and Serendra enough? But I was pleasantly surprised to like SM Aura. The building is huge and sprawling, and there are a lot of high-end stores that sadly makes this mall more of a window-shopping kind of place for the likes of me (aka broke students). But worry not fellow cheapskates! There are fast food places on the lower ground level outside the supermarket where you can feed yourself without destroying the remains of your wallet. SM Aura also has a foodcourt and a variety of interesting shops to browse through, not to mention the garden area on the top floors that provide you with a great view of BGC. The gardens are a great place to rest your feet after all the window-shopping, and the best part is that all of that is just a stone's throw away from Market Market and Serendra! read more

One of the newer and marketed as the most "high class" SM malls SM Aura Premier is certainly not the typical SM Mall we're used to. From its appearance to its interior SM Aura has a sense of class and richness to it which is appealing to most Filipinos. The stores in Aura are definitely the big ones, those that are super famous, and "patok" are to be found here. The food court at Aura is definitely fancier compared to the food courts we're used to in most malls and I think it's a good thing because we now have more options. The restaurants are a bit on the pricey side but they're really delicious. Probably the problem I'd have with this mall (and all SM malls really) is their entrance-exit-and parking scheme. One word: chaos. Everything is going every which way and is major cause for traffic jams. No organized flow, no system working whatsoever so it's definitely a headache to even enter the mall itself. But at least once you do you won't be disappointed especially since compared to other SM Malls this one of the least crowded, yay! read more
