He showed up Saturday afternoon (after the owner texted me several times to ask if the tech had showed up. He had not until later. No contact to inform me when he would arrive. Trust? Seemed to be an awesome RV tech - tech wise. Paid via check. As Todd left and after 10 minutes, Todd called to see if he brought my check back - could he get cash? I went out of my way to go to an ATM on a Saturday to replace the check with $914.00 in cash. I must say I had my doubts about this - but on faith, I gave him $900.00. He stated he would order the parts. We left for our scheduled trip in the motorhome on April 26 - Memorial Day weekend. While on the trip Todd called and the remainder of the parts were in. He requested, when we return home - give him about a week and he would return to complete the maintenance. Selected a day and general time - no show and no communication. Through the month of June and into July 14, two more times were scheduled - all no shows and no communication. Tuesday, July 14 was the last straw. I offered I would accept them shipping the parts to me (since I had paid for them in advance). No help. I also requested they refund my advance payment (and they had the parts). No help. This is unacceptable business practices by any business measure. And a complete failure on business communications. I am credentialed to state this as I am a recent 25 year university school of business faculty member and a former CEO of a sizeable Tech/Hi-Tech Human Resource Consulting firm. I built my business career and model on honesty, integrity, passion and compassion. I cannot say this about this business. Now heading on another route to complete this maintenance. I do not recommend On-Site Mobile RV Repair or King RV Repair.

The fridge still did not work. So after $700 for parts and labor I get this response from him when I told him the fridge is still not working. "I hate hearing that. It has to be the cooling unit. The better option at this point is by a residential refrigerator to replace the one you have. The Dometic 1350 model you have is very expensive JUNK. " now he no longer responds to phone calls or text from me. Ever feel ripped off? Since you admit to misdiagnosing the issue, shouldn't you make it right with me instead of taking $700 and running? Also if you had came when you said you would, you wouldn't of had to wait.

Hey fellow Texans and all others traveling through the great state of Texas. My husband and I are long haul truck drivers almost home when our rig broke down near Tyler, TX. We could only use my cell phone to find a reputable service or repair shop. I loved the name "smack down" and decided to give them a call. I must say I was pleased with their service. I spoke with Brandy and she was a godsend! She was able to send a mechanic out right away even though it was after 5 pm on a week night. Their mechanic was friendly and knowledgeable and had us on the road again as soon as possible. You guys want fast knowledgeable service give 'em a call. My husband & I were traveling home to SC from Ft Hood Texas, when our RV broke down outside of Tyler, Texas. After very briefly searching the web for a mechanic, I came across Smackdown Auto repair. They were just the right people for the job. The owner came right out, figured out the problem, had the correct parts delivered & fixed it right there on the side of the road. He even followed us to the nearest truck stop so we could use an atm to pay him. He was very reasonable, knowledgable & a very nice guy. We came to Lake Tyler and realized that our truck was leaking diesel from somewhere. We called Smack Down and they came out to our campsite and diagnosed the problem within the hour.
