So about 3 weeks back I receive an email from the shop about an sb release of the Nardwaur dunks. which I was going to try my best online and if not grab on the secondary market. Knowing I could get them local was a dope idea, so as soon as I got the email, I rang them up just asking the basics, "will there be a raffle, will there be a lineup, etc" the guy on the phone, while nice enough said he didn't know yet and check instagram for updates. I don't have an ig and asked if I called back the week of the release will there be any info? He said should be and I said ok I'll ring back then. Flash forward to the week of, I call on the Monday of that week during business hours, went to their answering message, left a detailed message and was waiting for a call back. Next day go on their website and use their chat/messaging feature that said they would message me back. Here we are today no message or call back. Just wanted to support local, but I can't if I don't know how to go about purchasing something that I know won't sit on the shelf's for long. I know they won't be out the money, but just sucks in general.

I have nothing but praises to sing for my local Pharmacy Boardshop…read more Despite living in the same neighborhood for decades, it took a singular incident for me to stop in, then revisit. A little back story. Pharmacy used to be a few doors down (now an escape room spot), but they've almost always hosted neat events out front with rails and such. I just... Don't skateboard so it was out of sight out of mind somewhat to me. A few weeks ago, I was stalked and harassed by a few dudes in a van who refused to give up and of course it was on a Sunday when hours of local businesses were wonky. I instinctually made a mad dash into Pharmacy while waiting for dispatch to get in touch with me. The man behind the counter was beyond understanding, allowed me to stay as long as needed, and was there for me. *I ended up leaving with a few customers there as they were headed the way I was, strength in numbers for the win. I vowed to return to formally thank the dude and did. I learned how passionate he is with his job, as well as a bit of his history. It made me wish I took up skating because he has the knowledge that those beginning would need (without being "too good" for a newbie). The store itself is well stocked, and has a selection of Pharmacy branded tees, boards, as well as other brands as well. Heck, they even have their own newer version of finger boards to keep your hands entertained. I found the Pharmacy Ambulance board (is it deck technically?) to be especially neat. I immediately went to trying to find any merch with it on it, but it's unfortunately an old classic and discontinued. I'll keep my eyes out for any new drops with it now though. You can tell they look out for their community with the printed events on display too which is an added bonus. =)

He was able to get them all set up and designed for the actor and stunt double to use. We went with an early 90's shape deck and wider trucks and old school wheels. Everything is legit to the 1990-91 time period of the show. As for knowledge, Marko has been around long enough to know most any type of skate related question you could have for him. I would say please check out this hidden gem of a skate shop. Support local skate shops instead of online shopping. The best value comes from visiting your local skate shop and help build your local skate community.
