After a call to Dr. Wehrli, he was willing to allow me to stop by the office (day after his 2nd office visit) to pick up several critical care items since Tater Tot had not been eating and his overall health was noticeably worsened. Less that an hour later, I spoke with the front desk to inform them TaterTots Meds were ready to be picked up from the pharmacy and I no longer needed the antibiotic Dr. Wehrli had offered to prepare for me but I was currently on my way to pick up the other 2 items. The man I spoke with reminded me that they closed at 1pm that day and I said I will be there, driving there now. I arrived to the door at 1:02pm... doors locked, no lights and no movement. I even went around back and knocked on that door searching for some one to answer. I called several time and was put straight through to answering machine. This was 22 minutes after I had called and spoken to him (front desk). I was able to start Tater Tot on his 2nd round on antibiotics that afternoon after picking up from the compounding pharmacy. However he didnt get his critical care food suppliment until a day later because of having to order on Amazon. Tater Tot pasted away on 6/1/25... to date, no response to my email or signs of comdolances to our loss have been received by Family Pet Veterinarain. .... I will never return to this Veterinarain Office.

Backstory: We had an emergency situation where she had a cut on her paw and got surgery at another vet, she had stitches, which she then tore out. I was able to get to bond vet the same day. Ever since we've stuck to this vet. My dog isn't upset or anxious here. She really loves it. It is on the more expensive side for care, but I really love how thoroughly they go over everything, how easy it is to get an appointment, and the level of attention we get when we're there. The vet's report noted MANY more issues than were ever communicated to us during our visit, leaving us to wonder which issues were serious and which weren't, and scratching our heads and wondering if we have been bad or neglectful pet parents. When pressed, I got a shrug and was basically told that the actual counseling/advice part during the visit was limited to the specific issue we came in for. Well, that's just underwhelming and speaks to their lack of interest in holistic care and overarching concern with throughput to maximize their revenue. After pressing repeatedly and complaining about the delay in resolving a prescription issue, I was scolded and chastised in a patronizing and condescending manner from their thin-skinned and hyper combative customer relations manager. BOND VET IS THE WRONG VET! Fellow pet parents, go to your local, non-private equity vet that will give your pet the care it deserves...stay away from BOND VET = WRONG VET!

Despite being advised to go to the ER, I declined knowing that would only lead to the ultimate outcome with trauma, and not the compassion, kindness, and skill I have learned in these situations, Alpine, and in particular, Dr. Reidelbach, do so well. Although she was not in until later in the day, Dr. Sartain fit me in and told me what I did not want to hear, but did it well and with compassion. Much of the afternoon was spent in my sunlit warm car with Finn on my lap, as he was made comfortable. I was grateful Dr. Reidelbach did arrive, as we have been through 3 other losses in the same years. She went above and beyond, but that is what I have grown to respect ..attunement to the situation, solid knowledge base, compassion, empathy. Simply bending to the situation that presents with the goal of the best outcome for all the focus. She delivered. The day will always be remembered with sadness as Finn was my heart, but she understood this, which will envelop the memory with the golden hue the sun delivered through the skylight on us all.

A Nightmare You Don't Want to Subject Your Beloved Pet To…read more I've never been so furious in writing a review. If you love your cat, do not--DO NOT--bring them here. Our cat came back looking as though he'd been through a horror show, and we are livid. Bruises All Over from "Gentle Grooming" (we have pictures) Our cat was a long hair that we asked to have their fur taken down to that of a short hair cat. What was unforgivable were the purple, fingerprint-shaped bruises scattered across his body. When we first saw those marks, we were horrified and confused: bruises? How could regular grooming leave deep purple handprints on our pet? We immediately took him to the vet, who confirmed they were bruises--plain and simple. This was not a sleepy "heavier-handed" brushing; these were bruises from someone handling him roughly enough to leave real-live finger marks. Cuts, Cuts, and More Cuts If bruises weren't appalling enough, the groomer also managed to slice our cat multiple times with her clippers or scissors. These weren't tiny nicks; we could plainly see irritated, bleeding slashes in his skin where she obviously rushed or mishandled the tools. We've taken our cat to other groomers before--no one else in their right mind inflicts this kind of damage on a healthy, cooperative animal. Our Once-Happy Cat Was a Panicked, Hissing Mess Our normally sweet, affectionate cat came home terrified, his personality completely altered. He hissed at us--his own family--cowered in corners, and spent hours hiding under furniture, trembling. He refused to engage with any of his favorite toys or treats. He was in a full panic. Whatever "technique" this groomer used traumatized him beyond belief. Quite frankly, it felt like we picked up a stranger from the shop--an anxious, broken version of the cat we dropped off that morning. Pushing an Unreasonable Subscription Plan Instead of acknowledging their horrific performance, the groomer had the gall to pitch us a subscription plan--a monthly grooming plan--for an outrageous fee. They tried to convince us that our cat "needed" this routine maintenance. Are you kidding? After the physical and emotional trauma their so-called "service" inflicted, the last thing we want is to trust them near our cat again. This pushy upsell felt downright predatory: gouging a raw deal to "maintain" a pet they'd already harmed. Final Verdict: Avoid This Place at All Costs If you love your animal, do not, under any circumstances, take them here. I'm seething that we even gave them a chance. Every parent of a cat knows that trust and safety come first. This groomer not only violated that trust but injured our cat both physically and mentally. They clearly lack basic compassion, competence, or respect for the creatures they claim to care for. Save yourself--and your pet--from this horror. Take your cat to a groomer who actually cares about--and knows how to handle--animals safely. Our experience here was nothing short of negligence bordering on cruelty. We went to make our appointment in advance as usual and were told they'd get back to us with availability...no response. Reached out multiple additional times and were told they'd get back to us with availability...no response. Now late for grooming with a dog starting to matte, we reached out to owner who told us they'd call back...no response. Strangest thing. I would have been content with a(n early), "Hi, we're really sorry but [insert reason here: your dog is getting too big, your dog in a pain in the hindquarters, you don't tip well enough, your dog is too much work, we're simply too busy, etc] and we're not going to be able to schedule and tend to your pup the way we would like" but no such luck. Just leaving us hanging with a perpetual promise to get back to us regarding availability was terribly odd and unprofessional. Really a shame because we enjoyed supporting this small local business and were very fond of their team. Silver lining: After a bit of work, we've found good service elsewhere. I try not to drop bad reviews in anything but the worst circumstances, but this felt like it needed an update since I couldn't simply delete our initial 5-star experience. Even though I called Kenwood, they were "fully booked" and basically told me I was on my own. It is clear they neither maintain a clean facility, nor do they stand behind their services. Boyd's has a calm and comforting atmosphere with a spacious waiting area and a friendly front desk staff. Appointments run on time!! Yay!! No long waits with cats in carriers wanting OUT. NOW! Their exam rooms are *always* immaculately clean...the veterinarians handle these two squirmy boys gently while undertaking thorough exams, giving them vaccinations and making helpful suggestions to keep our ornery critters healthy. The price? Very reasonable for the high quality of the services performed.
