The worst experience I have ever had with any business in my entire life. They will lie and blame…read moreeverything else but themselves to avoid even the remote chance of responsibility. Rusty (The franchise owner) owns the AAMCO in Danville and Richmond, so I would avoid both and deeply consider all the other bad reviews that these two locations share. The abridged version of the issue is, after removing my transmission for a second time to fix a leak caused by improper installation the first time, they neglected to install 1 of 3 bolts that hold the Torque Strut Bracket to the transmission. This missing bolt put strain on the mount which allowed it to break in half 213 miles after the second install. Despite having photos of the bolt present just before taking it in for them to fix the leak and having photos of the bolt missing after they "completed" maintenance, they still refuse responsibility. Rusty has made unfounded claims that "I don't even have any proof that that's your vehicle with the bolts missing", "I don't believe the bolt was left out and regardless that bolt did not cause catastrophic failure to that. That thing hit something"...etc. They have been unable to provide me with any evidence of their claims. I guess his reasoning, is that engineers just put extra bolts on parts for the hell of it and that I should hold up my car registration in front of the camera when taking photos to "prove" it's my vehicle. This part breaking also caused considerable collateral damage. From what I've found so far, the Driver Mount Bracket (Cracked), Passenger CV Axle (CV joint exploded), Radiator (Internally leaking, hit by the engine when it torqued), and the missing bolt. I'll have to pay approximately an additional $800 in parts and towing alone, not including finding another mechanic. After 3 WEEKS of back and forth with Rusty, and Jim, and filing a complaint with corporate, they still refuse responsibility, despite photographic evidence. Corporate is only looking out for the best interest of the business and despite detailed photos and explanations, continues to refer to incorrect information and cannot look at blatant photographic evidence. During the first week they had the vehicle, Jim "inspected" the vehicle in the parking lot and during a phone call said that the Driver Mount Bracket was cracked, and the Passenger CV Axle was damaged. It wasn't until I drove over to look at it myself that I found the Torque Strut Bracket cracked in half, I had to inform Jim since he was completely unaware. I also expressed that this was a warranty issue and Jim flat-out refused despite not having completed an actual full inspection. On top of all this, when I paid for the initial tow, I asked if I could pay the tow company directly (because I don't trust them), but was told no. Jim charged me $225 for a 13-mile tow, but the tow truck driver (Jim's own son) later told me it should have been $125, and that's probably the reason he wouldn't let me pay the company directly because he was trying to defraud me of the $100 difference. I called Jim and he refunded the $100 difference, but I believe this was intentional. Jim's response on the phone was "Oh, I thought that's what he told me. What was the correct amount?" So the fact that he didn't even bother to look at his receipts and just take my word for it shows that he knew exactly what it should have been. This is an assumption, but given my experience sounds likely. To get ahead of the response. Rusty said, "We are willing to help you out and do it for the parts cost if you would like, if not I understand". But, considering my experience that's an easy no. As an FYI, I was a helicopter mechanic in the Air Force for four years and did in-depth inspections and repairs all over the country, even got as far as working with Sikorsky engineers to develop things, so I can see through all the bullshit explanations and excuses that they continued to spew. Attached photos show before and after, and damage. Blue rubber band shows where the bolt should be located on the damaged part

He keep saying he used a torque gun but obviously he torqued it too tight bc I took my car to a body shop to have some parts replaced, and it broke and disformed the metal. He let me know he was not going to replace a wheel barring even though this was his error. He also went two days without calling me back then told me he waiting for a higher up. He was also going to charge me $500 to change two tire rods that I had done for 200 somewhere else. He was going to charge 150 a piece and I know those parts are $50. 2 new tires and tire rods and he was going to charge me a 1k. Clearly he saw a female and thought he could take advantage of me. He has no business being a supervisor. So I went and saw Justin at the other Danville location and as soon as he saw the lugnut, he says it's obvious it was on too tight. I told him he said he was waiting on someone to call him back. He said who? And when I told him what he said, he just shook his head said if you had brought this to me I would have replaced it no questions asked. He also couldnt believe the amount he was going to charge me, nor could he believe how he acted. Do not waste your time at this location. Go see Justin on Hustonville Rd.

After agreeing on a price on a car they had listed... They (Courtney) Said the car was in the shop and she would notify me the minute it was out. I called back every other day for almost two weeks, stopped my search of looking for other cars, ect. Not only did she not call me back when the car was out of the shop, she stopped returning my calls at all. I found out from another person at the main number the car was returned from the shop a couple days before, and they would no longer honor the same price, They want it almost $3,000 more, even though I told them who I spoke with. Was told again by Courtney she would talk to her Manager and another promise to call back, but never happened either. In the end, I'm glad I didn't purchase a car from Bob Allen motor Mall because looking at the reviews, there's a lot of unhappy people with their vehicles, and faulty warranties. Some things are a blessing in disguise.
