I'm quite fond of cupcakes (possibly my top dessert choice anyways) but these totally were out-of-this-world! These might be smallcakes tho they are massive cupcakes; they are even shareable size (when paired w/ ice cream)! Really don't know how to express the impressive artful presentation & overall cloud-like consistency these cupcakes had; each one tasted exactly like what you'd expect. The staff was helpful answering any questions. Somehow the bakers make these sm.cakes both savory & sweet; but not overly; y'all will just have to check it out for yourselves! So glad we got 1/2 a dozen to try a few flavors (in photo-description) at a time, we were very happy to have plenty for leftovers; tho they didn't last too long! I stopped in right when they opened to pick up 2 beautiful colorful cupcakes for my daughter's birthday. There were so many flavors to choose from. I chose Birthday Cake and Kentucky Bourbon. I visited this establishment for the first time over the weekend. I walked in, I told the young lady that it was my first time. The store associate didn't say a word, didn't offer any ideas on what was your best seller or any information. The menu located on the wall did not appear to have all of the choices that I saw online. I purchase 2 cupcakes. The chocolate cupcake taste as if it had a hint of coconut, was not the best cupcake. The second cupcake was a turtle Carmel/chocolate vanilla cupcakes in which I ended up not eating due to the coconut taste in the first one. read more

I met a friend in Monroe for dinner and she suggested we go here for dessert. It was worth it. It was so hard to decide on which one to get but we made our choices and were not disappointed. On 2/17/2018, I stop by Small Cakes in Monroe, La to purchase some cupcakes for my event tonight and I received the worst customer service. After finishing up with the customer before me, the young lady behind the counter came stood in front of me without greeting me, no hello, can I help you nor is there anything I can get for you? She just stood there looking at me and bending over to pop her back. Once, I realized I was going to receive good customer service, I immediately left out the store without making a purchase. This was very disappointing, dissatisfying and surprising especially after I just witnessed her giving great customer service to the customer before. Not sure if the young lady was trained to provide such service or if she has her preference on whom she provides good customer service to but what I will say that's my first and last time visiting that location. I visited social bites after seeing a fb post on their lemon blueberry cup cake that looked TO DIE FOR! I was coming from WM to Ruston for a lunch anyway so I figured I would swing by. I saw the ad on a Wednesday or so and came to the shop on Friday. I ordered 2 lemon blueberry , 1 strawberry, 1 salted caramel, and 2 cookie dough cup cakes. Every.single. One . Was dry and one was even stale tasting. The salted caramel was the only cup cake that was actually moist and good(according to the friend I took that one too). I feel pretty sure the lemon cup cake was baked the day of or day before it was advertised and had been sitting there since then. I was VERY disappointed in my trip there for $22 in cupcakes and 2 macaroons. I have had their lemon blue berry cake and a few other things at events before so I know how amazing it can taste so this just really disappointed me. I'm very disappointed in smallcakes. Use to come in a lot and get their wedding cake cupcake because it is delicious. Sad to say I won't be returning. I received the worst service today when I entered the store. First I was not greeted nor asked what may I help you with. Then, as I was standing waiting to be served another customer walked in and was immediately served and ask how they can help and what they could get them. I was very appalled and honestly offended.
