A fun little bar to stop at! We stopped by twice on a recent trip to the Keys and had the same bartender both times. He was super nice. The place is very tiny (truly the smallest bar). Probably enough room for two people to order something and then anyone else would have to wait more toward the sidewalk. It's still fun to stop by and say you went! read more

This was such a cute little spot, and if you're not looking, you'll pass right by it! The bartender was super awesome, very easy going, and very personable with every guest that came through. I love the idea of a small bar that you can pop into to grab a bevvy and keep walking along Duval. I asked him for a recommendation for a virgin pina colada or daquiri and he gave me two great recommendations. They did not lie! It's about the size of a small storage unit in the middle of Key West in between two bars with enough room for about five people! They do have some tasty drinks, which is what everybody wants when you go into a bar. read more

My Key West trips multiple times a year would not be the same without stopping at the Smallest Bar. The name Small really does not give it justice. Literally ten people can fit into this room with a tiny liquor bar and one bartender. It's so tight that you feel the sweat from other people - ewe. I always get a bartenders choice shot here. THERAGINGFORK.com Ok. This one was interesting. While in Key West FL on the legendary duval Street, I entered The Smallest Bar. We were able to squeeze in several customers. The drinks were average but the atmosphere was worth it. Always a fun stop if visiting the Keys. Lots of great pictures and laughs. So, go for the fun and do not expect an expert bartender, although she was very fun and inviting, or high end drinks. Did not see any food so unsure about that. Will surely return. read more

We love the keys! Been to Smallest Bar many times. This week we stopped by and I noticed a Chiefs football flag hung up on the wall. I pointed it out the bartender to engage in some friendly sports ribbing/banter as I do with everyone around me who roots for different teams, in all sports. As soon as I pointed it out, the bartender tee'd off aggressively quoting stats about the team and about the quarterback to me in an aggressive way as if trying to win some sort of contest. I immediately conceded and agreed my team hadn't won a title in 30 years. But he kept going, it was like a bully on a playground. He just kept aggressively telling me how much better the Chiefs were than my team and how he even modeled his hair after Taylor Swift which was very odd. As my wife and I disengaged and walked out of the bar he was still shouting stats at me from behind the bar. It was super awkward and really harshed our vacation vibe, everyone else we encountered on the key was so chill and cheery. I'll leave it at 2 stars here because the beer he served was ice cold. read more

Did not disappoint. This was def a spot that we would stop at in between bars or restaurants we were headed to that we just happened to pass by. It's hard not to stop and our time there was ultra brief and served it's purpose. I absolutely love this little bar. Each time we'd grab a beer and their signature key lime shot which is made of crack! I still can't figure out how they sneak in that hint of graham cracker into the shot. Absolutely delicious! The bartenders were extremely friendly and coy in regards to their shot recipe. This place is a must stop. Keep in mind there are no bar stools or anywhere to sit. Bad service, whatever shots, and just not the vibe.

I wish Yelp included a negative rating scale as well; possibly 5 brown turds.. If this was a reality then I would be giving the Smallest Bar in Key West a solid(or possibly a warm creamy) 5 brown turds. The saddest part about Yelp, is that this is a service that business owners pay for depending on their level of involvement; which gives them the privilege to filter out detrimental comments like this one.. Now, Key West is most certainly a destination that survives on tourism; in which you would think that customer service is a high priority for business's wanting to keep the doors open. Keeping it short; 4 of us ( 2 couples) had booked our reservation for two rooms and two nights months prior on Hotels.com. We arrive at the Smallest Bar to suddenly be told that they only have one room for the four of us. Hey stuff happens but lets figure out what exactly the issue is here and how it can be fixed.... These two drunks working the hotel could care less what happened to us. We told them that we had booked our rooms through Hotels.com; they responded with "ok that doesn't do anything to fix this". Finally we had Hotels.com contact them to figure out what had gone wrong. These two drunk employees hung up the phone and then went on to bad mouth Hotels.com about how they're nothing but a bunch of dumb FILIPINOS. Racism is something that instantly gets me fired up; so I began exchanging some words with the two drunks. This resulted in them canceling the one room they had reserved for us, and also calling one of the females within our group a BITCH. Theres so much more to this experience, but I'll leave it at this!!! Stay away from this place !!! read more

ALLOWS DOGS! Bartender looked like Scott Caan and was nice enough to let us keep our dog inside after "Island Dogs" did not. Apparently, Island Dogs lost their license (go figure, Key West requires yet another license with fee of course). Place is small but the best part is the many different types of people to walk by and the conversation can get entertaining from there. Met a cool British couple and we spent the night shooting the $hit and buying each other drinks. read more

This may be the smallest bar but it has some huge problems. The owner seems to think he has the right to call people bitch and other inappropriate names. Someone with this many personal and anger issues, should not run a business that deals directly with people. Many other great places in Key West to get a cocktail. read more
