Surly Siren Saloon was one of our favorite bars in the downtown area. Fortunately we were able to pay them a visit on two separate evenings. There is so much to see and do in Key West that it's hard to hit the same bar twice. The owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Well drinks are just $5, which means I'm having more than one drink and staying for a while. The live music has been amazing here. Both times solo performers were featured with mad skills. Hats off to Erica Sunshine Lee and Rob Benton for their amazing performances. We look forward to seeing you both again. The bar is on the second story of a building which sits on top of a $5 store. You can't help but notice there is a party going on from the street because they turn the PA's out towards the street so passersby can hear the live performances. Great marketing on their part because that's what got us in there. The bar area is air conditioned, which makes it nice on these 90° days in Florida; however, if you prefer to sit outside, they have an expansive balcony that wraps nearly all the second floor of the building. It's great place to enjoy your cocktail, smoke a cigar, and watch activity at Mallory Square and the street below. We didn't have any of the food while we were here but heard good things about it. This is somewhat of a new business; the owner explained that they've been there for 2 years now and she came all the way here from Las Vegas to open this bar in Key West. I hope she is successful in her endeavors and look forward to seeing her and hanging out at the Surly Siren Saloon next time I'm town. If you happen to be near Mallory Square to watch the sunset and street performances, I highly recommend stopping in to support the Surly Siren Saloon while you're downtown. It's a great way to close out or begin the evening depending on the bedtime you choose. read more

We stopped by Surely Siren Saloon for dinner and were blown away. The drinks were amazing, the musicians were so talented (we stayed so long we listened to two artists!), the staff was SO fun and friendly, but the real cherry on top was how great the food was!! I wish we took more photos, but the smashburger was some of the best we've ever had (this is coming from a Chicagoan), the pig wings were amazing and came clean off the bone! And the umami fish sliders were so so tasty. Again, we were blown away and highly recommend! You won't be disappointed read more

Popped in during our bar hopping and glad we did. We happened to be the only people in the restaurant for a while but we were a large group and the bartender was hustling to help us before happy hour was over. This place is awesome! I was walking by and was lured in by a $5 well drink sign. I waltzed in and was greeted by the coolest bartender, Ryan. He has such a charm to him! He whipped me up a drink with a heavy hand might I say! I had a good time just yappin with him. He let me try a shot called the tootsie roll which is one of my favorite candies and it was a dead ringer for the candy! That can be dangerous! I also tried a drink named Cold Gin and it was awesome. Funny thing is I HATE gin but Ryan is that good! It tasted like a jolly rancher! There's food here as well but I didn't get to try it! Great drinks, amazing prices, and an even more amazing bartender , yeah, I'LL BE BACK! read more

We were eager to find a good burger while in Key West, and after checking Yelp reviews, we chose the Surley Siren Saloon. The restaurant/bar is situated in a prime location and offers both indoor and outdoor seating with views of all of Key West. We decided to order frickles, a smash burger, and fries. The frickles were decent but nothing to get excited about. I was surprised by my fellow Yelpers' enthusiasm for the smash burger, as it was just okay--definitely not worth boasting about. Next time, I'll satisfy my burger cravings before or after my trips to Key West. read more

My husband and ordered the same food choices. Never happens normally. The smash burger was great. Our drinks were very good. Very happy with our drinks. So much, we got another round. Some place I recommend to a new friend that I met the same day. Some place we will eat on our next adventure back to Keywest. read more

The best food at the most reasonable prices! We have been coming to key west for almost 30 years! You will not be disappointed in this little pub place! Chicken cesaer salad incredible! The beef ribs are unimaginable! The smash burger is the best on the key ! This is a must try for casual but excellent food!! Don't miss out! Walked in about 2pm on a Sunday, sat at the bar. Atmosphere was chill, great breeze with humidity! Music was great, not overbearing and could hear everyone talk. Food was great!!!! Paid $250 per ticket for an open bar and buffet dinner for Fantasy Fest parade. $100 more than the year prior. Ticket was for 3 hours of food/drinks. The parade ran short - so they tried to end the open bar at 8pm, despite all print material saying 9pm. When questioned and pushed they extended the bar to 8:30pm. For $250 each - paying for 3 hours of an open bar/buffet, I expected to have 3 hours of food and drinks. The food was nearly 30 minutes late and they ran out pretty quick - by 7pm the buffet was wiped out. It's a great vantage point for the parade and the food was good - but I expect a business to uphold the package I purchased. Disappointed for the price paid vs. what we experienced. Bartenders were rude and questioned why we ordered specialty drinks despite menu saying it was a "top shelf open bar". Explore other options for less and a better experience. Would not pay $250 again next year. read more

I ordered the mermarita, the pickle fries and the Nashville hot chicken wings with coleslaw. All of it delicious. Good prices. There was live music the guy wasn't that great but it was still a fun atmosphere. Wait staff a lady started with "D" was awesome. Definitely will come back read more

Fun place in Key West. The bartenders are friendly and welcome you as you walk in. We heard a band on a Wednesday afternoon and wandered in. The $5 cocktails are worthy of a stop here. We didn't eat, but the people around us got the happy hour smash burger and tots for $10 and said they were good. Sheldon Benton was playing and it was enjoyable way to spend the afternoon. They have live music from 1:30 on with 3 bands a day. Ryan, one of the bartenders was affable and efficient. I didn't catch the other bartenders name, but they are definitely doing something right here. Give them a shot if you are in the area. read more

I went for happy hour around 2:30 on a weekday after reading some promising reviews. I had a captains cup drink and a smashburger which totaled about $19. With only 4 customers, the bartender got my side order wrong. There was some nice live music and about 4 or 5 people at the bar. Kinda a dead vibe. My wife and I are in town visiting family and have never been to key west prior. We're definitely guilty of ordering late night munchie food after getting back from the bar but choices are limited. Surly Siren was the only place open other than your standard fast food chains. The burger here is amazing and the fries have this type of lime powder on them that makes me reminisce of lime flavor lays. Really unique and awesome. Would highly recommend for late night delivery and will also be trying this place during the day read more

Not only are they serving the seated patrons and the 4 small nooks, they are also making drinks for the attached restaurant. They just missed a great opportunity to create unique twists on classics or to have craft cocktails. Even the classics (which are perfect for a speakeasy) weren't that great. For a speakeasy, the drinks are the main event. Glad we tried it as we always seek out speakeasies. Wouldn't go again.

First off, nothing says tropics like Rum! The name is all that needs to be said. Nothing more... nothing less. It's a small and it was packed. Elbow to elbow, which says nothing other than you know this place will be good. My wife is especially cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs when it comes to anything Chesney and Blue Chair rums! You had us at Kenny Chesney Island Girl, and we just had to find a spot and enjoy. And we Most certainly did! It was sublime and refreshing. I was even able to walk out with a souvenir Rum Bar hat (purple). Without a doubt, we will be back and we're telling all of our familia and friends of this place! The place has a great vibe inside and out (including up top on the roof top bar). They have an incredible selection of top shelf liquors, including many Pappy bourbons. Our tour tried the Hemingway Daquiri that was really good. We came back again for drinks. We wanted to try some of the bourbons but the prices (by the ounce) were VERY high. The cocktail menu is creative covering the seven deadly sins and definitely meeting the namesake Tempt. Everything was good, just a bit pricey.
