The price was extremely reasonable; we had intended to get three estimates but my mom and I both lined Kris so much we decided to go with him right away. I chose a day for installation when Kris was going to be out of town on vacation so he let me decide if we wait to wait until he got back or if we wanted him to send his right hand man Daniel. We went with Daniel who showed up right on time on a cold morning. I thought removing the old badly cracked panes of glass would be very difficult. I was right but they got the old ones out quickly and the new ones in so fast and they finished about 30 minutes before their estimate. They only removed one window at a time and our house never got cold on a 33 degree day This was one of the best customer experiences for a project I have ever had. I chose EV Windows after asking CharGBT to find me a great window company with very good reviews and I'm so glad I did. I do not have one negative thing to say. There were no gimmicks, no games, no pressure to purchase, and a full out the door price (no pun intended) with no additional fees that would come later. Don and Sandy were great and easy to work with, timelines were exactly what they mentioned, and the day of install couldn't have gone more perfectly. We did our best to seal off the opening with thick plastic and tape until we could get the window replaced but knew that wouldn't last long. One company we called wanted over $500 just to nail plywood over the opening. In the meantime, we called two window companies to get estimates for the replacement. The first company spent very little time and was rather short with us. They offered nothing in the way of covering the opening for the 6-8 weeks it would take for the new window. Then we called Naperville Windows & Doors. Their representative came to our house and took time to listen to us and address our concerns. Shortly after receiving our estimate (which, by the way, was over $1000 lower than the first company for the same window), Don (who I believe is the owner) came out to get exact measurements. When he saw the gaping hole in our house & our makeshift repair, he offered to nail the old window into place and seal the opening so we wouldn't be without a window for 2 months. When we tried to pay him for his trouble, he wouldn't take any money. Very impressive customer service! Needless to say, we chose to go with NWD. When our window came in, Joe came to install it. He was super nice & did a fantastic job! The window is beautiful & very solid. We were very happy with our experience with NWD and would whole-heartedly recommend them. I love my new windows and they keep the rooms warmer. My original windows that came with my house purchase were Pella and they lasted 30 years. Actually out of 25 windows I only had to replace 8 due to house settling. The sales man told me that my other windows held up well and only need to be painted which I was planning on once I replaced a few windows. I had a bay window and replaced it with a regular style window. I personally didn't like the bay and actually saved month by changing the style to a flat window which I perfered and saved $5000.00. Had several quotes and Pella was $5000.00 less for the over all cost of the job. My neighbors had a different company which they had problems with and had to follow the crew around to and make sure they completed the touched ups. I was pleased with the crew that did my windows. I figured since I had Pella windows originally I would use them again. A business isn't around that long unless they are doing something right.

Pella replaced it. After another 6 years, again, it needed to be replaced. They only guaranteed it for 10 years from the original purchase, so we were out of luck and needed to replace it.
