Bought my car there and Shelly was my sales person. She was amazing! I was disappointed because I didn't think I'd be able to get the car I wanted but I left in the car that I wanted and I LOVE IT!!! Shelly was very patient (I'm not the easiest person to satisfy) and I tend to sometimes be a little hard on my reviews but I can honestly say that I have absolutely NO complaints when it comes to Smart Auto and their staff. My car was financed and I drove out of the lot in approximately 2 hours of arriving but I test drove 2 different vehicles and wasn't sure what I wanted when I first showed up. The man that done my paperwork and finalized everything(I apologize, I don't remember his name) was great as well. Tyler is also an awesome salesperson to talk to. My son and my sister have both bought vehicles through Smart Auto but Tyler was their seller, he was busy when I first went but I have to say....Shelly done a great job, no disappointments whatsoever!!!! Keep up the great work Smart Auto!!! You are all awesome in my book! I haven't dealt with the service department yet but will be very soon for normal maintenance. Warning, do not buy from this corrupt company. They prey on those who can not afford to buy from legitimate companies. My son bought a car from this company that is located in Johnson City a couple of months ago. This car has been towed back to the company at least 4 times to be repaired and they apparently do not have mechanics that know what they are doing. The manager of the shop, which is employed by this company told my son that the car problems are his fault. My son has taken great pride in this car and has taken care of it, but there is a mechanical issue with this vehicle and the shop apparently is not professional enough to figure out the problem. This company is not to be trusted and I would not waste my time with them. read more

at first, they seem as if they are going to be your saving grace. Unfortunately, after purchasing a vehicle with them with a down payment of $600, and a car payment that is more than $400 a month, not even a month later after purchasing the vehicle, it starts sputtering amongst a bunch of other things. I called and spoke with three different people. Unfortunately, the service manager had absolutely no bedside manner and was completely unprofessional. There is a way that you talk to people especially customers, and that's not how it's done. It was made to look as though I did not want to Pay my car payment because of these issues and that's not the point. My point is I purchased a vehicle from Smart auto less than a month ago and the issues that have happened to the vehicle are clearly pre-existing. Instead of apologizing and ensuring that I would be taken care of and just leaving it that, I was told it's a used car and things happen to use cars. Which is perfectly fine. What I am not OK with, is purchasing a vehicle and spending over $1000 on it and it not working properly within the first month of me purchasing it And then having to make a car payment before they have the availability to even look at my vehicle. They will get you into a vehicle, thats for sure but not only will they get you in a vehicle they will get in your wallet to and empty it. I was leasing a car that was over 15 years old for like $15000 my payments were 275 bi weekly. I know its my fault for accepting such a bad deal but I had 500 dollars and 3 babies to take care of and had no other choice. I got behind on my payments because I missed 5 weeks of work due to covid 19 I thought they would give me a chance to get them caught up after I returned to work but they did not. They only pushed 1 payment for 1 week. They will screw you they do NOT give 2 craps about you at all Beth needs to learn how to treat people she also needs to realize she is not better then anyone talking down on people . If you get behind THEY WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU PLEASE STAY AWAY OR YOU WILL REGRET FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE .When we had the issues with the payments they were very rude and not understanding its sad that such a big company will not help you during this pandemic. They took my car and a week later sent a letter saying they were selling our car at auction and i would owe the rest 3 missed payments because i had no income after paying on this pos for 2.5 years please please go somewhere else. If you decide to go here please bring your on mechanic they will lie to you and tell you the vehicle is great wax it up make it look nice but you will run into issues with your vehicle that will be costly i had to replace alternator starter, timing belt serpentine belt with no help from them at all my car overheated because fans didnot work and i told them they wasnt working when i left and they said on this model the fans only come on when the motor is hot which was b.s i called and told them that the car was having mechanical issues and they didnt give a crap they ask me when i could make a payment they do not offer a rental for you and you will need one they make there cars look nice and barely used but please bring some 1 that knows or they will screw you like they did me. BUYER BEWARE IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!! Just for the record, I am NOT a customer of Smart Auto. But I am making a comment regarding my daughter in laws experience who IS a customer and I feel it's important to let consumers know of nasty service and vehicles unworthy of sale. She bought a vehicle in good faith from smart auto. Almost 3 months to the day, it suddenly and severely over heated, at night with 4 small children. She took it to a mechanic. She was told the radiator was cracked, in which she bought a new one to put on it. When the mechanic went to replace it, he found it was FULL of block sealer, and had a cracked head gasket, cracked intake gasket and a busted valve. Block sealer lasts approximately 3 months....AND there is supposedly supposed to be a 100 point check on all vehicles they sell...I don't know know how or where the block sealer came from...or how ALL those engine problems were "missed" in that so called 100 point inspection but when brought to the attention of smart auto, she was treated rudely yelled at, and hung up on. She is still continuing to pay the payments even though the vehicle is undrivable and even though they are still rude. Again...BUYER BEWARE!!! read more
