I did not like this service. The lady working there was very giggly at my phones broken condition and how it wasn't able to work. I went in there twice and neither times did that store have the replacement for my iPhone. In my opinion I would assume they always have replacements on hand and I did go visit before lunch time as well it wasn't even the last few hours they close. Very unfortunate that they could never help and service is funky. They do charge 80 dollars plus tax for a repair but you have to have the luck whenever they do have replacements. read more

Went to this store based on a friend's recommendation (and high Google reviews). They took an hour turnaround and replaced the mesh (speaker), and got the built-in audio working like new again on an iPhone. The OEM part was contaminated and crusted over from moisture. I took my sons phone there to get repaired and ask them to tell me everything that is wrong with phone so that way we can get it fixed they told me I just needed a new screen for my son's phone, which was the second screen that they had put on and the phone still does not work then after taking my money twice they're telling me that there is other issues wrong with the phone and they could try to replace parts but it can't guarantee that it's actually going to fix it and then I might need to buy a new phone. My son worked hard to save up money just to get his phone fixed and they took his money and gave him a broken phone that still needs to be replaced. I wish there was a rating lower then one star. I brought my phone there for a simple battery replacement, and they damaged the phone so it doesn't work at all. When I complained to the woman who claimed she was the manager (refused to give her name), she refused to even look at the phone to determine the problem. When arrived was told quote was incorrect and they needed to order replacement screen. I prepaid for glass and repair. Was called and told that part was in and that they would need two hours for repair. I dropped off iPad and came back the following day to retrieve what I thought would be repaired unit. Was told that it was not ready but it would absolutely be ready after noon the following day. When I arrived at 2 pm following day was told that it's not ready and they never had the part. Initial good experience-My daughter dropped her I phone and the screen went black. We thought they fixed it and for $125 seemed reasonable but the next day we realized we could not hear anything including the ringtone unless phone was on speaker. We were out of town but brought it in when we returned less than a week later to see if they could fix that as well. So I broke my iPhone SX screen twice is month. Yes, my clumsiness comes in waves. Both times I took it to Smart Phone Repairz. The first repair left my camera and light button non operable but for a fix under $200 I wasn't complaining. My second fix, I brought my phone in closer to closing hours, unsure if I would get it back that evening. I waited in the car and in as little as 20 minutes they had my phone ready to go. The nice gentleman working let me know to please bring it back in if any part of the phone was not working correctly and they would fix it, as I had let him know about my previous repair issue with the buttons. Horrible customer service and products. Half the screen quit working after 10 days of use. Never looked crisp or bright like the original display. They use cheap Chinese screens and then don't warranty what they sell said it had been cracked somehow but not a scratch on the screen. You could press anywhere on the screen without LCD discoloring. Took it to a different shop and they informed me that this shop had stripped my screws and the only way to fix was to replace the charging housing. So they also permanently damaged my phone when they replaced my screen. Stay away from this shady business. read more

Brought my phone in for water damage they did fix it but now my screen presses random keys and doesn't work correctly and this randomly started ...... I'm guessing they didn't test the phone before releasing it and all they told me was that I can bring it in and they can do further testing but will charge me again to fix it, which should've been done the first time. I work in Odessa to so now I can possibly get stranded in the middle of no where and won't have phone to contact anyone due to someone's lack of diagnosis. Service could be better as far as wait and pick up time. Screen is fixed however buttons are a bit delayed on the touch screen. Also screens do not work well with polarized sunglasses. I can't see anything and have to remove my sunglasses to use my phone now. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Note: This store has a sign that says they give away free merchandise for good yelp reviews so I would be leary of any good reviews. We brought in my daughter's phone for a broken screen and at that time all the features on the phone were working. We simply needed the screen replaced. After picking up the phone, she did not have any audio on a phone call so basically she could not make or receive any calls. So we went from thinking we would be spending $70 to being forced to buy a new phone for $600 plus. I don't think they have the technical expertise to work on high tech devices. They do more harm than good. The full story: When we dropped the phone off for a screen replacement, all the features of the phone worked. Jordan, who was accepting the phone, even made a call from her phone to a store phone to ensure that it was working because he said her model of phone (7plus) was known to have issues with that. We have never had a problem with her phone and I wasn't sure what he was referring to so we left it for repair. When picking up the phone, the screen looked fine and seemed to be responding ok. We later went to a store and I called her when we became separated. You could tell she picked up but we could not hear each other. There was no audio. We went back to Smart Phone Repairz, explained the problem and they said they would look at it. We did not hear from them after several hours so my daughter called. They said that those phones have that problem but they could fix it for $170. What? We went to pick it up and again explained that the phone worked before we dropped it off. I had to ask for my money back on the screen repair and a different employee said that we could get $200 on it as a trade in value on a new phone. We did not want to buy a new phone. We just wanted the screen fixed. They are the ones who caused the problem with the phone audio and did not take responsibility for it. I came home to find out my front camera was working but the picture quality was incredibly grainy and the lighting was off. Later on this year, I went to another iPhone repair shop to get my battery replaced. I was asked if I had my battery replaced before, and I had not, so I answered no. Apparently Smart Phone Repairz had taken my original battery and replaced it with another non-apple without my consent. I took this iPad in because there was TWO CRACKS. It was working when I took it in and I just wanted a new screen. The man that took it plugged it in to make sure it worked and it did. Then Heather called me later that night and said it got hot and wouldn't turn on anymore. I just went to pick it up and the screen now looks like the picture above, and it doesn't work AT ALL. The cashier with the faded green hair bun mislead me about being able to access my phone so I would be able to pay them (I had to cash out from cash app) and the employees in the back wouldn't facilitate a Manual card entry or a cash app payment they much rather watch cartoons in the back than give customers the time of day . Scam!!! I would be willing to sign a petition to stop these people from cheating the public. I had my screen replaced at smartphone repairz yesterday the 24th, today the 25th I noticed that the new screen was cracked in two places. The phone was not dropped nor handled roughly, in fact, I was constantly cleaning the phone, admiring the new screen and handling it with extreme care. I reviewed the warranty clause on my receipt and it stated that any defects to the screen (scratches, cracks, chip etc...) will Void any warranty. I assume that when I take the phone back this clause will be emphasized. There is something about that clause in the warranty and the fact that the screen cracked so easy, makes me suspicious of substandard (low quality) parts or piss poor craftsmanship. Also, I ask the service person about the quality of the parts while I was at the store and he stated that the parts are generic but the quality is as good as the original (I doubt that now) and if they use the original parts the price would be much higher. Considering all of the negative reviews I've read about this company-after my money was stolen- I'm curious if the warranty will hold water if a petition is initiated. It seems to me that the Void part of this warranty is evident that the knowledge of substandard parts and piss poor craftsmanship exists . If a small crack was initiated during installation you may not see it until later and by then you are screwed. I took the phone back on the 25th and as I thought. The warranty was bought up along with some bullcrap about heat. The fact that they offered to fix there screw up for an additional $60 buck is proof that they are will aware of what they are doing (scamming). Their customer service is wonderful. However, the quality of products they have is absolutely terrible. Took my phone in to get the screen fixed (it was completely shattered, pieces missing, etc...). Paid $206 to get it fixed and have the home button replaced. My iPhone is black and all they had were white home buttons. Not even a day later the screen is cracked AGAIN in 2 different places. Didn't drop my phone or mishandle it in any way (it's in its case). Very unhappy with the quality of products they have. I went in and and got a quote for my iPhone 7+ from the Hispanic who girl told me it would be between $80-90 for the repair. I thought this was a good deal so l I left my phone there. When I went to pick it up several hours later they were going to charge me over $150 and when I was looking at the phone my home button fell out. I had them but my old screen back in and went to Best Buy and paid $140 without breaking the warranty. Do not trust these people. I wish I would of checked the reviews on Smart Phone Repairz before I ever took my cell phone to be repaired. This business is run by a bunch of idiots that have no clue what customer service is all about.. I took my phone in to get repaired because it had a cracked screen and It was repaired in a timely manner and didn't cost as much as other phone repair shops. Well I guess you get what you pay for!! 3 days after the repair the sound started to fade away while using the phone and I couldn't hear the other person on the other line. This started to happen late that night and I was planning on taking it back the next day. On the way over the screen went blank and the phone was unusable. They told me that they would check it and it should be under warranty and it would take about 2 hours to fix. When I returned to pick up my phone they told me that it wouldn't be covered under warranty because I had scratches on the screen. They said I would have to pay another $65 to fix it. Of course I was pissed off because they never told me if the screen was scratched it would void the warranty. I agreed to have them fix my phone and went on to tell them they should up sale the screen protector and tell the customer about the warranty instead of telling me it was on the contract that I signed. The tech then came back to me and said the sound couldn't be fixed and that they would give me a $ 25 credit and that they would have to put back a cracked or scratched screen in order for the sound work only on speaker phone.Remember I took it in the first place to repair the screen and now they wanted to put a damaged screen back on it. I asked to speak to a manager or the owner and he stated they had no manager and the owners were a group of guys that work on the phones and he was one of them. He stated that they hag decided that the $25 credit and putting on a old screen was all they could do. Now I'm stuck with a phone that has a damaged screen and the only way I can get sound from my phone is through the speaker phone. A group of idiots own the place and the girl up front lies to the customers about what she didn't say when you drop off your phone.
