I do not feel like I was properly represented in my severe injury case against a big corporation. I am disabled and received disability because of my permanent life changing injury due to this law suit. After five grueling years and many doctors and court date reschedules I was not given what I deserved. No one took into account my permanent disability of a broken finger on my dominant hand. I have a service dog who I cannot take on a plane with me yet when the possibility of a trial came into view I was told more often than not that I probably won't get anything out of it and was basically talked right out of going to trial because nobody seemed to understand my situation. I live in Reno and would have had to go to Las Vegas for the trial with no means of transportation and nobody to help me with anything. I am alone with my service dog. Nobody even attempted to find a solution so we could go to trial because I certainly wanted to! Nobody offered to bring the case to Reno either! I feel very betrayed especially when the lawyer asked me if I was guilty of the original crime that caused my injury due to someone else's actions. I was appalled. Unfortunately the statute of limitations was almost at an end so I was more than desperate to find someone who would take my case. After several rejections from other law firms. Also this should have been a criminal case but because their criminal lawyer refused to take it and doesn't do this sort of case it went to physical injury so I was not going to get the justice I deserved because it was treated as the wrong case type.
