No customer service. No communication. I received no SSA benefits due to their failure to communicate, follow through, collect documentation (unless you do it for them - huge discrepancy between what they claimed to gather and what SSA received). They received a chunk of my settlement and I have received nothing in return. I am unable to receive my benefits due to their failure to return phone calls, failure to communicate and failure to give correct information to SSA. Hopefully, once I am healthy enough, I'll be taking speaking to the board, in hopes of getting their license revoked. No one should have to suffer. read more

Hired them to take on my social Security case. Never mailed in my paper work and refused to contact me and update me on the status of anything. Oh my gosh! So I have never considered disability before so I did research and came upon this law firm. Called and the receptionist was so nice and let me know she would have an attorney or my contact me soon. About an hour After my phone rings and it's the law firm The attorney said his name and I didn't catch it. I gave him mine and said how are you? I'm friendly. He couldn't have been more dry or less interested in speaking to me. I needed information I have no idea where to even start. Don't bother calling them. I have retained many attorneys in my life. I guess passing the bar doesn't require actually wanting clients. Not worth your time. Let me respond to your response. I didn't say I i didn't get a call back. Please reread. I had him on speaker phone. I have the kindest voice in the world and I was nothing bb it nice and confused. Your attorney who called me today. OBVIOUSLY did not want to be at work. We were on the phone for less than two minutes because of how unbelievably rude he was. Don't come at me and tell me maybe I wasn't a fit. Your RUDE attorney wasn't a fit for me. This attorney did a terrible job representing me at my first hearing. Ill prepared, kept the judge waiting while they planned strategy. It was a nightmare. Poor communication from office. Attorney and staff treated me like a number, not a person. Stay away! UPDATE: I was accompanied to my prep and hearing by a friend who witnessed that I was not properly prepped AND the judge was in fact kept waiting by this attorney on the day of my hearing. Fortunately, I found a ethical firm who did an amazing job prepping for my second hearing and representing me at that hearing. Makes you feel like you're an inconvenience whenever you ask him a question, rushes you without explaining a single thing including paperwork he throws at you to sign. Has no sympathy or care for his clients which you can tell my husband short answers if he answers your question. Clearly he just cares about the pay outs when the case is easiest enough for him to win & once it gets complicated, oh forget about getting any help or information on your case especially if you don't understand it, when he claims to be trying to help you'll never hear a word. Lawyers in this specific area need to have hearts and patience with their clients, they're clients are suffering enough! They don't need a lawyer to make them feel worse about their conditions. I recently had the opportunity to meet the Welt Law Firm staff. From the initial phone call to the end of my appointment with Mr. Welt,I was treated with kindness, respect, and professionalism. I spoke with Amy on the phone initially. She was kind, took some information down and told me what to expect. She said Mr. Welt would call me that same morning. As promised Mr. Welt called. He asked me some basic questions. Don't mistake seriousness and to the point questions for rudeness. No he didn't get all warm and fuzzy and ask how my day is or how the family is. He did ask all the relevant questions that would help him determine if I had a case which is really what I needed to know. A bunch of small talk won't help you win a SSDI denial. I was given an appointment that fit my time schedule the very next day. I was greeted by Jennifer, who was very kind and understanding. She was a friendly face in an unsure situation. The office is beautiful and inviting. I was personally greeted and brought back to his office by Mr. Welt. He spent as much time as I needed to answer any and all questions I had. He was honest and up front about the length of time this would take. How difficult it would be, and how much his fees are and how they are handled at the end of your case. No money was asked for at my appointment and if my case isn't won he doesn't get paid. He's going to spend 12-24 months helping me and he may not even get paid! That's extremely generous in my book. Amy gave me all the necessary paperwork I needed for my appeal and answered all my questions helping me get through a sea of paperwork. Even when I misread and made mistakes and had to ask for more forms to start over she was kind about it and made me feel good as everyone makes mistakes. They encourage you to call them once a month just to check in. None of this don't call us we'll call you. They are honest about not always being able to answer a call but promised to return the call asap. All in all my experience here was outstanding. This is a family owned and operated business which is where you get superior services vs the corporate "TV attorneys". Gerald Welt is a very professional no nonsense attorney who got right down to business. I liked him upon meeting him. Not only did he answer all my questions but asked me a lot of questions before meeting with my disabled partner who was denied his disability claim. When he finally met with my partner he asked and confirmed questions I had already answered and then explained the process and told us exactly how long it would take. We filled out of the paperwork and submitted it to his office. When it was time for my partners hearing, we showed up downtown at the appointed time. Mr. Welt met with us briefly before entering the room. Afterwards, my partner was in the hearing room for only 1 to 2 minutes when both Mr. Welt and my partner walked out with smiles.
