I have been seeing Michelle now for 3 months, and she has changed my life!!! I have adult acne and have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it. Nothing seemed to help and I had pretty much given up and accepted that my skin would never be clear. Michelle changed all of that! After my very first facial with her I saw an immediate difference in my pores, they were much smaller and my skin looked and felt much cleaner over all. She really takes time with her clients and makes a regiment personally for them. I am using her entire skincare line and it really balances me out, the moisturizer doesn't leave me oily and the cleanser doesn't dry me out....I think my favorite item from her line is her scrub...I feel so fresh after I use it!! My breakouts occur much less now and my skin tone is much more even. She gave me a VI peel 3 weeks ago and it lifted quite a few scars I had on my cheeks. I saw my aunt at a restaurant last week and she said "Your skin looks so good!" I can't explain how great that made me feel. I get compliments on my clothes, my hair, my nails etc...but NEVER my skin, until now! :) Michelle's Downtown LA location is super convenient coming from anywhere in the Los Angeles area. I don't even know where to start, How Amazing she is or how Amazing she looks. Michelle is such a nice woman ,very welcoming and kind. This is my very first visit with Michelle and I came to Smart skin solutions with acne, acne marks and a little bit of hyper pigmentation concerns. My case is not severe at all but still have that physical appearance I am not happy with. Luckily on the day I reached Michelle she was able to fit me in for an appointment. She took time to evaluate my face and ask me what were my concerns etc. I initially found her looking for (VI peels) however, she explained to me what she thought was best for me at the moment based on looking at my face and how we could fix my concerns with a process. Honestly I appreciated that cause I have gone SEVERAL places where you literally get for what you pay. meaning you might not even need certain thing done but if you're willing to pay for it hey let's do it! I believed she said eventually we would get there, anywho she started me off with a facial (So relaxing) and a peel (can't remember the name off my head right now) ..... I am now on my 6th day and I am peeling. I have followed instructions and everything is great so far. My upper lip has peeled the most and I can see a HUGEEE. Difference on that specific area where I had hyper pigmentation and that's just on MY FIRST VISIT. I am so excited to see more results and I am excited for my next visit. I came to see Michelle for a one time Vi peel and left with Michelle now being the only person I will let do facials/peels/waxing on my face! She gets deep into your skin and REALLY cleans it! Michelle is amazing, personalizing each facial for what you need at that moment! I have moved around so so many times finding different places to get facials with sort of mediocre experiences. I recently moved to LA and with only a few months before my wedding I knew I needed to get a facial ASAP. I found Michelle because she uses PCA products and booked an appointment. On my first visit I didn't really know what I needed, but Michelle took control and customized my first facial to my skin concerns. The results were lovely, I've been seeing her for a few months straight now and I know my skin is much better because of it, she changes the routine each visit based on my current skin situation. On my wedding day, my skin was perfect and I know Michelle had a lot to do with that!! I highly recommend checking her out, her prices are extremely reasonable, she has products you can buy to improve your at home skincare but she is by all means not pushy to have you buy everything. Her spa studio is inviting and beautiful (incl valet parking!)Michelle has a very comfortable and easygoing personality and when I usually rush in with a frenzied energy, her calm energy just calms me right down. Her facials are among the best I've had and I feel so pampered with each visit. I signed up for the contract right after my first facial because I was so happy with it and her prices are really reasonable for the amount of time and work spent. I went to Michelle twice. I usually use only all natural skin care products, but I was having trouble finding skin care that really worked great. She sold me on the Clayton Shagal products and I bought 3 different products. I trusted her, so I did not even think to ask about what would happened if I didn't like them. I have sensitive skin and after using these products for a month I continually had redness and little bumps. My skin did not look happy, I used them still because she explained my skin was purging. I did not see any good results, so I asked if I could have some return. Initially she agreed to it and then she decided to just ignore my calls. If she would have given me 1/2 back I would have been happy and continued using her for other services. I went back to my old esthetician who always made sure I was happy even if she had to take a loss on a product she stood by. These products are not all natural and I would not use them if you have sensitive skin. read more

This June is going to be a year since I became Michelle's client. I found her through Lifebooker and after seeing how knowledgeable and passionate she is about what she does, I subscribed to her monthly services. After 6 months, I actually upgraded them to even more customized and additional skin boosters. Please note, that i suggested it myself. My skin is much cleaner and smoother and with almost no sun damage and fine lines now. What stands out about Michelle the most is how much she cares about the results and client's wishes and concerns. All her facials are customized, every time I go to her, she does different things depending on my skin's current needs. For example, during my last treatment, Michelle gave me Ultra Peel Forte, which by itself is $129, but she gave it to me at no additional charge. What I also like about her is that she does not stop learning and updating her knowledge, she constantly obtains new certificates and licenses, she goes to a lot of trainings and then she passes her knowledge to her clients. I don't want to repeat what other reviewers said, but besides being a great esthetician, Michelle is a wonderful person. I am always excited to go to see her. I made an appointment with Michelle which she confirmed via text. A few days later she asked me if I could come in 30 mins early to help her with her schedule and I said yes. She again texted me it was confirmed. I show up maybe 10 mins early for the appointment and as I'm walking into the building she is asking me to come 45 mins later. Like right before my appointment to ask me. I get upstairs to her salon and she tells me I'm early 30 mins, I remind her she asked me to come early. She looks in her phone and says oh yeah I forgot to update you. So then she says go get coffee for 45 mins. Nothing she can do about it her client is in the chair. No apology, no sense of embarrassment she screwed up. Just a kind of what do you expect me to do about it I'm running late kind of attitude.
