I called Smart Tech and my call was answered by a live human within a couple rings. She was very kind and helpful and was able to book me for next day service. Chris arrived at home right on time. He was very professional and tech savvy. I had taken my dishwasher apart inside to clean the filter. Although I had put everything back together properly it was leaking. He was very thorough and asked me many questions to trying and figure out why it would be leaking since cleaning the filter should not cause that. After pulling everything out what he discovered by helpful questioning and examination from where the leak was located is I had loosened a piece that drains the water on the wall. I had totally forgotten about that. He tightened it down and fixed the leak. And then he over delivered with great service. He informed me that my dishwasher was tilted forward and probably not washing at its peak performance because of it. So he pulled out more tools and leveled my dishwasher. In my experience alot of techs will do the bare minimum and leave. He went the extra mile and didn't charge any extra. He was friendly, cleaned up after himself and left the space cleaner than he found it. The charge was very reasonable for the value delivered. There has been a noxious odor emitting from the area around the back of the Samsung and as I had already checked out the gas stove and hood, and couldn't see much else, I called Smart Tech and they sent the personable and knowledgeable Josh, who arrived on time and ready to work--and didn't mind that I closely observed what he was doing--not because of distrust, but perhaps I could learn something about the curious ways of the Samsung--it turns out the coils were clean, waterline, although currently unused, were not the problem--but while Josh was near the source of the odor, could smell gas-like odors, possibly decay, coming from small cracks at the base of adjacent cabinets. So it wasn't the refrigerator, but I had asked for a professional diagnosis and got more than similar technicians had offered--and no attitude to go with it. Chris was fantastic! Initial appointment was scheduled within days, which is almost unheard of. When he arrived, he diagnosed the issue almost immediately. The same day of the appointment, I received a notification that my parts had already been ordered. The parts arrived in an EXTREMELY timely manner and Chris showed up early the next week to make the repair. He was respectful, knowledgable, resourceful and very kind. He even hung out for a few extra minutes to talk to me about my dishwasher (which was not the reason he was there). A few months ago, I purchased Samsung washer and dryer, with the pedestals for each. The washer was making a funny noise, and I spoke to Samsung. It was a nightmare dealing with the appliance company contracted with Samsung. After doing research and seeing a Smart Tech Appliance, I called their office. Sometimes exceptional service is found when things don't go right at first. After a scheduling glitch the lady in the office was extremely helpful and went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of the same day. Our dishwasher was not working and I expected a hefty repair bill. However the technician, Josh, in addition to being super friendly and polite was able to diagnose and fix it on the spot for a very reasonable cost. My dryer stopped working. I figured the repairs would be so much that I might as well just buy a new dryer. Luckily for me, there is a shortage of new dryers to purchase so I called Smart Tech. He was professional and very thorough. He checked everything out. When he realized my refrigerator was not worth the cost of fixing, he went the extra mile by calling a few appliance stores where he had contacts to try to help me replace my refrigerator quickly. Josh, who was very friendly and knowledgeable, came to our house and very quickly diagnosed the 2 probable causes of our leaky 16 year old dishwasher. Unfortunately, neither of the parts were available for same day replacement. I totally understand that there's no way that they can maintain such a vast inventory of parts and pieces to satisfy all customers' needs. Our Bosch dishwasher had a consistent error code. Your representative came to Lincoln with the needed part but noticed the AC wiring was installed incorrectly. He said the AC wiring needed to be fixed before installing the part. As it turned out, RC Willie did not install the washer correctly. Once the wiring was corrected, there were no more error codes.
