We had arranged to meet Abdul to look at cost etc. He was very calm, patient and knowledgeable! We agreed on the plan and waited to have our order processed. Unfortunately, the computer system went down and we had to wait a couple of hours to have everything done. It certainly wasn't the fault of the staff. Abdul and the store manager, Sarah( I believe she is the manager) were absolutely fantastic! They felt terrible about our having to wait, offering to buy us food and drink. While waiting for everything to be done, I noticed Sarah and another of the staff speaking with a young man who clearly had an intellectual disability. I was blown away by how kind and patient Sarah and the other staff member were to this individual. That so rarely happens in our world. In the end, all five or six employees were helping to get our new phones ready for us. I was blown away by the service! Bravo to Sarah, Abdul and the entire staff at the Source in the Rideau Centre!! I was offered the cost of the repair as a credit for a new phone, which I had to decide on without being able to research it (with no working phone) I accepted, tho it was out of power, so I couldn't verify it would work. It didn't come with the stuff required to charge it so I had to get that too, go home, charge it.... Only to find out this phone was locked, when it was sold and labelled as unlocked. I had to go back again, and they exchanged it right away, and it didn't cost more, but all in all it was a mixed experience. The repair effectively bricked my phone - so getting credit for the repair, rather than for the phone itself felt like I was worse off for having come here. Then I had to fork over more money to get a new phone, which I obviously would have been better off doing in the first place instead of trying to get this repaired. I had to buy a phone without researching it, and even then it didn't work right away. The second error with the unlocked phone was a minor one, but compounded with the whole repair-wrecking-my-phone, it felt like a lot of hassle, low value, and not a great arrangement. I'm sure other people will have better experiences, but its hard for me to say it all went super well.

I've been with Freedom Mobile from back when it was called Wind Mobile and this location is the one…read morethat I frequent. It's conveniently located in Carlingwood Mall. Service is generally good, but my favourite sales associate is Grant (I think he looks like a young Hayden Christensen, but he says people tell him he looks more like Topher Grace, lol). He's very nice, patient and knowledgable. He gives you great information and good tips about your phone. I know lots of people snub Freedom Mobile because of its limited network coverage, but it works great for me because I spend most of my time in urban areas that are covered by Freedom. If you live in the suburbs or rural areas you may end up roaming. I'm on a discontinued plan, but I get unlimited Canada calling, unlimited texts, unlimited data (although only 2GB is at full speed, after that it's slower), voicemail, call waiting, and caller ID for less than half the price of other providers. I love Freedom Mobile (although I still think of them as Wind), lol.

Clicking on "Next", I get a message "Oops! Something went wrong! Try again or call us at [toll free number])". I tried again, with the same result. I tried again. Same result. I tried again, but kept my current plan. No error, and I was able to proceed. I went back. Tried again to downgrade, and again "Oops! Something went wrong!". Tried again, but chose the upgrade option. It worked. I went back. Tried again to downgrade, and again "Oops! Something went wrong! Try again or call us". I tried again, keeping the current plan, and it worked. Now, I may be a little slow sometimes, but clearly, the system is set to deliver the "Oops" message when one tries to downgrade, and if they were upfront about it...as in, "hey, call us so we can discuss your needs and see if downgrading is the right choice for you"...then, I'd still be miffed, but at least I wouldn't call them out for their dishonestly. In the end, I kept the current plan. As soon as the move takes place, I will likely go to Oxio, who are offering a regular, non-promo plan for faster speeds at a lower price. Ciao, TekSavvy.

I was very happy with their internet provided. Their TV service was fine, but the app for Amazon Fire TV could use improving. After moving to Quebec, I have had nothing but problems. Their cable backbone is Videotron, and the Videotron techs have been horrible. The first installer refused to activate the line without entering the home (which I requested as I could not be at home that day, but modem is plugged directly into the coax running to outside distribution panel with nothing between). The second tech did not show up for 2 appointments. I will give one last opportunity to make it right, but it Videotron messes up again, I will have to go with a competitor. They just tried to oversell me and it was a waste of my time. I tried the Wireless Wave location and was thoroughly pleased with their service, selection and attention to the customers needs. Their store made it much easier to compare phones, plans etc. I dealt with the manager who listened to what I was looking for and she gave me a few options. Although I had my eye on another phone, I went with one of her recommendations and am very glad I did as it's a great phone. She really knows her stuff and answered all my questions patiently. I will definitely return and encourage others to try this location as well.

Went back today to return it as per their policy, and was told the manager went on break, 'ok, cool - when will he be back?' "Around 30 minutes" - 35 minutes pass, I come back "Oh, sorry manager is still not here yet, come back another day or in the afternoon when the technician is here." Like holy cow, how can an associate not be able to do a simple return? Is it so hard? Ive returned things to associates at Walmart in less time. Called CS - they called the store and by the time the call was done, the manager had finally returned, I went back and completed the return. Sufficed to say lost 40 minutes of my time and $3.75 to return simple RAM. First time shopping here, and my last. Corporate should save it's money and close this location judging by the other reviews.
