When we moved our things in we, unfortunately, had the mishap of having 2 boxes that were left outside our unit. We received a phone call from them the next day saying we had two boxes that had remained in the hallway. I was grateful and thank them but and let them know that I was in between Montreal and Toronto and not back for another 3 weeks only when I returned I was informed that they had thrown away my boxes. I was absolutely stunned and frankly devastated because the value of the boxes was very important and precious to me. I was offered no compensation and was told that the management doesn't want them to keep anything for customers. And that the cleaning crew threw out my two boxes. That is obviously not what they did with the boxes. I stayed for a full year in their establishment in despite this since most my things were already there. I offered a reward to get my things back but obviously never got them back.

Funny thing is there was no trace of my personal item left behind. I was constantly communicating through email and I got no email stating they are clearing my locker.

I used movers to move my things (El Cheapo, who were familiar with the storage unit and also great to deal with), and had NO issues moving in or out. My storage locker was indoors, behind a locked gate which I was able to access almost anytime I wanted with my own personal access code. I was able to get deal for my first month, and they were able to pro-rate the second month, as I was not there for the full period.
