Kirstie is exceptional at keeping all the ducks in a row without being overbearing or micromanaging. As a vendor, I really appreciate that. I highly recommend hiring Kirstie of Simply Wed! Kirstie was the "day of" coordinator for my wedding at the Golden Gardens Bathhouse in July 2012. She went above and beyond the "day of" role and was the best money we spent on our wedding. We communicated frequently the months leading up to the wedding, she ran our ceremony rehearsal the night before, and she worked a 15+ hour day the day of the wedding making sure everything was just how I envisioned it. She also provided a wedding day timeline and contacted vendors for me, among many other tasks I don't have room to list here. I was a type-A (read, anal) bride with a very clear vision and a tiny budget by Seattle standards ($15,000). Kirstie was extremely professional, prompt, and easy to work with before the wedding and during. Although she was planning many weddings at one time, she made me feel like mine was the only one. I picked out several of my vendors myself becuase I knew exactly what I wanted, but Kirstie gave suggestions for the ones I didn't have, and they were all amazing! She has great connections. The set-up for my wedding was tough. There is nothing at Golden Gardens so everything had to be brought in and set up the day of (and taken down and cleaned, which Kirstie did). I also had a lot of DIY details that I wanted arranged a very specific way. Kirstie and her crew worked a crazy, long day arranging flowers, setting up tables, hanging decor, getting everyone in order, etc. Your wedding day is such a blur that you need to spend time enjoying your guests, your new spouse, and just enjoying the moment. You don't want to worry about decor, music, food, etc. You will not be disappointed with Kirstie - she can do as much or as little as you want and need depending on your budget and vision. read more

I wanted to share my experiences with Kirstie and Simply Wed as I was highly impressed! We researched various coordinators and set up time with Kirstie to better understand what she had to offer for "day of" wedding coordination. Kirstie was quick to respond, detailed in her follow up/responses, fun, and professional. We let her know that we might stop by a booth at the Wedding Show to meet her assistant/co-planner Shauna as well and when we got there, Shauna knew we were coming and who we were which I thought was a very organized and thoughtful approach for an informal drive-by. I could tell right away that Kirstie and Simply Wed would do an amazing job based on the first initial interactions with her. Unfortunately, we had to make some shifts financially in planning our wedding and were not able to utilize Simply Wed so I cannot review the actual coordination. I can't recommend Kirstie and the team at Simply Wed enough. She clearly stands apart from other planners. Kirstie knows this industry inside and out, she has savvy tips on how to save money, a clear knack for delivering that personal touch on your special day as well as the best eye for design I've ever seen. Kirstie really helped streamline the hundreds of decisions leading up to our big day!! As far as day of delivery and coordination, goodness all I did was show up! Kirstie and her team were highly professional, organized and excited.... and some of the hardest working people I've met. Our wedding was VERY logistical with 2 venues and 10+ vendors. Okay I'll start off by saying we met with Simply Wed because I liked their reviews, we hired Kirstie, because she reminded me of myself: no nonsense, super funny, intelligent, little on the controlling side, bit bossy, very prepared, non-judgmental and most importantly highly knowledgeable about what she does and an incredibly nice person to boot... also the opposite of me, she is incredibly patient. After going through all of this wedding planning and the wedding itself, our biggest regret with Kirstie, is that we only hired her for day of, rather than hiring her for more hands on planning. As day of she was incredible. Recommendations and support throughout the planning process. Not afraid to tell us when something wouldn't work or remind us of things we didn't think about, since we hadn't done this before (like mentioning we should probably make sure to have knives and forks for dinner, and that we need to hire staff for the wedding). She was honest with us about vendors she liked and didn't, and understood the vibe of our wedding, but gave recommendations to make it a little classier (like cloth napkins over paper, which was also more eco friendly, important to us and the venue). Our officiant was my step-father who is loud, opinionated and has a bit of a short attention span, and she was so incredibly patient with him and yet stern. She helped keep him focused on what he had to do, and made sure he didn't stray too far from what my husband and I approved, and yet let him sneak in little appropriate surprises. My friend described her as "intense" and that was perfect to me. On the day of my wedding I wanted an ally, someone who put my needs above everyone else and made sure my day went perfect for me, and that any hiccups were resolved quickly and quietly. In her intensity Kirstie did just this. There was a small issue that came up, but she was there right away with her bag (fanny pack specifically) to fix everything and get us back on the way to our beautiful and fun wedding. I wanted a wedding planner who understood what we wanted, helped us along the way, worked to make sure we had the most perfect day possible, was fair price wise (which Simply Wed absolutely is), and made me laugh and feel comfortable when we worked together, and Simply Wed absolutely fit my needs. Shauna from SimplyWed was the best thing we could have done for our wedding - simply amazing. She thought of everything we would need, and things we didn't realize we needed! She was so friendly and truly wanted our big day to go just as we imagined. She pulled off a flip from ceremony style to reception for over 170 people in just one hour. We are so thankful for Shauna! So I have been hesitant to post a review, but not for the reasons you might think...my procrastination was due to the fact that I wasn't sure I could write a review that would be good enough to express how freaking AMAZING, FANTASTIC, STUPENDOUS the Simply Wed team is!! But at this point, I am going to stop worrying about the quality of my "prose" (lol) and just get this out there, because this team is just so, ridiculously, AWESOME. For our wedding two years ago (August 2013), we chose the day-of coordination package with Kirstie Warren of Simply Wed. It was obvious from our first meetings with her nearly half a year before our wedding that she was extremely organized, deeply knowledgeable, creative, and a very down-to-earth person. She was EXACTLY the type of person we wanted by our side on our wedding day. With her years of experience and numerous anecdotal stories, she made us feel that even if something major were to go wrong, she would have it handled gracefully and efficiently. When the big day finally came, she did all this and more. She and her team blew all of our expectations out of the water!!! I am a pretty meticulous and involved person when it comes to planning, and I had a million little details and ideas for that day that I wanted to be set up in a very particular way. She and the Simply Wed team executed everything flawlessly, and did it all with only a few hours to prepare. They were constantly working behind the scenes the entire wedding, so much so that we hardly noticed the team save to see that everything was gorgeous and in its rightful place at the right time! Before our wedding, we had meetings throughout the year to touch base and, although I only hired her for day-of coordination because I wanted to plan everything else myself, she was INVALUABLE in her input of what would work, what might be too much (I had a lot of those, insane with personalized details as I was, lol), and what would be tasteful and within our budget. She put together a timeline of the day and worked closely with our other vendors to ensure everything would flow smoothly. The week before the wedding, we transferred ALL of our various decorations, DIY goods, placecards, and what have you to her house, where she loaded them up into her van to bring with her on the morning of the wedding. It was amazing to see that mish-mash of colorful, fun stuff get turned into the elegant, vibrant, (But still quirky and "us"!) affair that her team pulled off. We also hired Simply Wed for floral , and they had QUITE the job on their hands...I wanted a lush carpet of ombre flowers for the aisle, and let me just say, to pull THAT off as spectacularly as they did with only a few hours and in addition to all the other floral arrangements...our jaws and the jaws of our guests just dropped to see that. The word was "WOW." The flowers all over the venue were beaaaauuutiful, bursting with color and everything that I wanted! The only thing that wasn't, was the bridal bouquet, which Susan (the florist) must have put together early that morning or something because a few of the roses were starting to brown. I told Kirstie, she spirited the bouquet off immediately to Susan, and voila! The flowers were changed out and the bouquet was fixed, no problem. :) We hired them to do our candy buffet too, and it turned out so gorgeous and adorable. The colors of the candy & sweets in the different shapes of jars looked perfect along with our two incredible cakes from the People's Cake.
