We worked with Emily and would recommend her to EVERYONE with no hesitations. She is professional, knowledgeable, funny, detail-oriented, and an absolute logistic powerhouse. The business was bought by a new owner/planner who we worked with and all of the review that we read online before was for the previous owner. Half way through the wedding, she disappeared to pick up what was forgotten but we wished that she could let her assistant stayed behind to control the wedding (she only had one assistant) as my husband had to take control when he was supposed to be relaxed at his wedding as we hire a wedding planner. Our wedding vision that we shared with her months before the wedding, she couldn't remember nor follow up so we had to remind her again a month before the wedding where some of the stuff we couldn't get anymore due to time restrictions. She needed to be reminded to reach out to all vendors when in contract she supposed to follow up 45,30,15 days before the wedding. Our wedding vendors complained to us how she couldn't be reached. It was frustrating. She needed to be reminded of what to do and can't follow up with our vision. She couldn't pick up last minute items the week of that wedding so we had to go to Michaels and other store. After the wedding, she had no idea where the leftover wedding cakes went. Nothing personal to the new owner, but we felt like we were being misled into thinking that the reviews were about her not the business. read more

I am so grateful that Jacqueline was our wedding planner. Jacqueline easily handled a crowd of 150 across two venues (Woodland Park rose garden and Fremont Abbey), with three different food and beverage vendors, a DJ, the second line band, and two location staffs. She was also a great partner for my mom, who was very excited to the point of overwhelming me a bit :). She managed that dynamic perfectly. We hired Jacqueline for the last 45 days, but she helped me review vendors and contracts even before that. Once we were 45 days out, it was like a huge burden had lifted. Jacqueline saw us through a change in reception venue and the last-minute addition of a second line (band) escort between the ceremony and reception -- and then a change in the timeline for the band. She was consistently cheerful and able to handle what we threw at her, and she thought of all sorts of little details I would have missed. Long story short: if you want to a stress-free event you should hire Emily Bernard from It's All In The Details. After our wedding my husband said: "the closest thing you can get to being in two places at once is hiring Emily Bernard to run your event while you enjoy the party". She is a perfectionist in the best ways that you want for your wedding or large event. There literally isn't anything that she can't handle. She's calm, kind, direct, easy-to-work-with and knows exactly what she's doing. Her priority was always to make sure we got what we wanted, and she delivered tenfold. Everyone says that weddings are inevitably filled a million tiny things that go wrong. Our day was perfect. I genuinely can't think anything that went wrong, I know that is because of Emily. There are things that I heard about afterwards that Emily was right on top of that I never heard of on the big day. I heard that she took extra special care of an elderly relative, made sure they had what they needed and went home with leftovers. We worried about nothing and that's how it should be, I wish everyone had this. I enjoyed every second of our wedding party; we drank, ate and enjoyed our friends. I did not worry about ANYTHING... I didn't even have my phone. Emily and her staff were incredible. There aren't enough good things I can say. I won't be getting married again, but if I ever did any kind of large-scale event, I would call her in a heartbeat. She went above and beyond in the days leading up to it as we faced some issues with vendors and was available immediately to help us sort through these issues, days before the wedding. My bride hired Erin purely as a day-of wedding coordinator. When I questioned the need for this, my bride calmly explained to me, "SUCK IT UP! Of COURSE we need her!" Point taken, love of my life. And in truth, we did need her. Despite my bride's superhuman planning abilities, she obviously had much to contend with on her wedding day and having a right-hand woman to make sure attendees were attending, caterers were catering, and wedding guests weren't trying to sneak into the buffet room before it was time is something that shouldn't be underestimated. Erin put up with all of this as well as my bride's inevitable yet mercifully mild bridezilla (actually, more bridezookie) moments. (To be quite honest, I don't blame my bride since my family does not take direction very well nor do they play well with others.) As a matter of fact, though we hired Erin as a day-of coordinator, she did much more. When our caterer started lobbying a few weeks before the day for more cleaning time at the end of the night (something my bride had already established early on), Erin smoothed things over on all sides and made sure everyone walked away happy. Erin and my bride stayed in constant contact over day-of scheduling and other arrangements. Even now, days after our big event, I marvel at how smooth everything went. But really, I shouldn't. So a little under six months before our wedding date, my then fiancée and I were completely lost as to what we were doing for our big day. All we had decided at that point was a possible budget and a location for the wedding, but everything in between we had no idea where to even begin. Given our busy schedules, and tendency to procrastinate, we decided to look into getting a wedding planner for getting the whole thing rolling. We had talked to several prior to meeting Erin, none of which felt like a right fit for us. After we met Erin, we knew right away this was the lady to plan our big day for us. We were struck by her warmth, thoughtfulness, and professionalism from day one. We booked Erin's planning package (can't recall which), which covered some aspects of design and consultation. However, we found shortly after beginning this big project that was our wedding, our hiring Erin to help plan this was completely worth every penny. She recommended all the best people we could afford within our budget and helped ease all our stresses regarding the wedding. She went beyond the call of duty in everything we asked her to help with, and even thought of things that we had completely overlooked. On the day of the wedding itself, Erin was one of the first on site and had everything set up well before any of the day's events had even begun. Everything ran 100% smoothly and on time, with no hiccups along the way (that I know of, because if there were, I'm sure she got 'em). Erin was the last to leave that night, helping to pick up after us, and then finding us the following day to make sure all the things got to us in one piece. We owe Erin more than we can imagine. Our special day would not have happened had it not been for her given our ineptitude, and it would have gone as smoothly as it had without her overseeing everything behind the scenes. Admittedly at first I was hesitant to budget for a wedding coordinator, but trusting my soon to be wife I went along with 'the plan'. That was hands down the best decision we made in the planning phase. Do you plan weddings for a living? Probably not. Our daughter got married in our back yard in August 2015. We were definitely watching the costs, so I was hesitant to hire a coordinator when I thought perhaps we could do it ourselves. Fortunately, my wife insisted that we make the investment. I really should listen to her more often. Erin is absolutely fantastic. Although we hired her as a "day of wedding" coordinator, she took care of so many details before, during and after the big day. She wrangled vendors, managed the serving crew, graciously accommodated our 85 guests, and made sure everything was cleaned up afterward. In fact, at 1am when Erin's crew left, our kitchen looked like I had just cleaned it - which is saying a lot. The main thing is the relaxation and fun Erin created for my wife and I. Literally an hour before people arrived, we were sitting in our back yard relaxing and marveling at how everything was coming together. During the wedding, we were able to talk with people, eat, drink and dance without ever worrying about anything at all! Erin even wrangled some rambunctious kids and a friend of the family who wanted to add an impromptu toast. Our response to everything was "go ask Erin". I know weddings cost a lot of money. I almost cannot express in words how amazing Emily was and how much of a difference she made on our big day. We hired Emily as our day of event coordinator, but the role she ended up taking on felt even more involved than just "day of." She was so helpful in all of our last minute preparations and rehearsal as well. The day of the event, she made everything run so smoothly. The best decision I made about my wedding, after deciding to marry my husband (!), was to hire Erin as our 'day-of-coordinator'. I put that in quotes because she went far and above what we would have asked of a day-of-coordinator. She also pointed us in the direction of many of our other vendors, which we were extremely happy with! She was even able to get us a discount on one of our vendors! One of the biggest benefits of hiring Erin was the peace of mind she gave myself and my husband. We are certainly not experts in event planning and were both in the process of finishing advanced degrees - her guidance and input were invaluable to our wedding planning process. Erin took over the communication with our vendors at the 45-day mark before our wedding day. I can't imagine having to go through that final stretch before our wedding AND having to communicate with our vendors about when they should arrive and etc. It was truly a saving grace! Especially since we had several late drops for our wedding, she was able to adjust our orders last minute and make sure that we wouldn't be overcharged. On our wedding day, my husband and I were truly able to enjoy it because we knew Erin had everything covered. No one asked us any questions (yea!) and Erin kept us updated on anything we needed to know - and kept from us anything we didn't need to know! Erin was recommended to me by a dear friend, about a month prior to my wedding. She was lovely from the start, and worked with me a few times to get all caught up on where I was at in the planning process - I believe 1-2 calls that followed our first in-person meeting. I had originally expected that she'd be 'only' a day of planner, but explained the value and importance for her taking over all details 2 weeks prior. (And boy was she right!) Throughout the remainder of the planning phase, Erin would send me email updates/asks for what I was responsible for completing, and followed up when I fell behind or lost an email (cough cough - thank you again for your patience Erin!). We got her introduced to all of my other vendors as the new POC, which was crucial in those final days, as there were usually a few questions/loose ends that she was able to coordinate without me even knowing about it. What I was most impressed and thankful for, was Erin's keen attention to detail (Because it IS all in the details!) and professionalism! I spent the last decade as a (Corporate) Event Planner, and am confident in saying that Erin is truly one of the best planners, and humans I have had the pleasure of working with. Within a day of working together, I trusted her! Our venue's POC was a very difficult woman to work with - often unprofessional, rude, and just plain abrasive. She was clearly unhappy that I had brought in my own planner, and did all she could to be difficult at both the site visit (~2 weeks prior) and the day of the wedding. Her team was not at all detail oriented - place settings (for example) were not the same at each seat within one table, and each table was different (we're talking glass count being wrong, spoons missing - really obvious stuff). Erin oversaw and redirected all of it. And despite the abrasive behavior of the main POC, Erin was always smiling, and seemingly having a great time! When you hire a day-of planner, you do so to eliminate as much stress from your mind on your big day as possible. Erin did just that - she and her assistant provided me peace of mind I could never have imagined, and the ability to truly be present; physically and emotionally. She swung by when we were getting ready, was responsible for meeting all the vendors, checked up on my husband to *sneakily* make sure he and the groomsmen weren't *too* drunk before the wedding etc. My true eyes and ears! Erin humored a number of our parents' crazy asks - from windex-ing the windows of a barn (sigh), to changing assigned seats right before the ceremony for my mother (because, let's get real...there were minutes before the ceremony started, and I couldn't even begin to think of a solution). Throughout the rehearsal, and wedding itself, Erin had gotten to know our bridal party, family, an vendors. She knew everyone by name, had my MoH's cell, delegated to them when too many random, last minute tasks popped up (or the bride leaving her vows at the hotel - sorry....). And I didn't know about any of it :) It all just magically worked itself out. And that magic was Erin! So Erin - thank you again for EVERYTHING you did to make our day so special! I don't know how you wrangled missing bridal party members, packed up all our decor in what...10 minutes?, pinned all the (lost?) boutonnieres on the boys, managed the relationship woes between my parents, and kept the onsite staff on top of their game (by going table by table through the venue to flag incorrectly set up place settings). Not only did she help make sure that we had covered every last detail in the planning process, but she also really took the time to get to know us and the traditions of our church. Jacqueline is AMAZING and is worth every penny and then some. She is super easy to work with and very organized. We planned this wedding from NYC and she literally took care of everything, down to the last detail of making sure my grandma had a front parking spot and ADA ramp to get into the venue. She sets up everything and packs up all the personal items at the end of the night. She also contacts all of the vendors to make sure they arrive on time and sets up everything perfectly. I cannot say enough great things about working with Erin! She was the most valuable vendor choice we made. We hired her just as our day-of coordinator, but she did so much more than that. I expected that i was hiring someone to come in a week or two before that would download all the details and vendor info, make a timeline, and make sure things ran on time day-of. From the moment we hired her she was checking in with us, gathering info, and totally available for questions and bouncing ideas off of. We were married in the San Juans and she traveled up there multiple times to check out the venue and meet with our contacts there. Also had family members and a friend doing the flowers. It was invaluable to me that she was able to be the one stressing timelines and budgets so i didn't have to feel like i was nagging or putting pressure on them myself. Our wedding turned out amazing and my husband and i had SO MUCH FUN mostly because we didn't have to worry about anything at the wedding except actually getting married and partying :) I would hire her again in a heartbeat! read more

Erin Stroup went above and beyond. She over delivered on just about everything. We signed up for her day of package and then hired her for 3 more hours to help us make some decor decisions. She only charged us for the three hours we agreed to but I swear she did at least twice that much.  Erin was extremely professional and really good at her job. She also LOVES her job. Her enthusiasm is contagious. During the planning process, we often joked that Erin loved our wedding almost as much as we did. She's fun to work with. She made us feel like our wedding was super important to her. She was available to answer any questions and give resources even when it didn't fall within the boundaries of her contract.  The wedding day was perfect. If you knew me, you'd know that I can be a worrier. But that day, people told me I was the calmest bride they had ever seen. And it was true. All I had to worry about was showing up and looking pretty. Early on in the day, before the ceremony started, I noticed one detail that was missing and I asked Erin about it and she made the change immediately. After that everything was smooth and just as I had imagined it. If there was any drama, I didn't know about it. She was there for me throughout the night as I needed her. My bustle broke and she was right there with a safety pin to fix it. She kept the evening moving on schedule. I never had to think about a thing except enjoying myself.  I would highly recommend hiring Erin to anyone. It was the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. When my fiancé and I first started wedding planning, we weren't sure if we needed a planner/coordinator. I am SO glad we decided to hire a day-of coordinator. Emily was amazing! She did so much more than just day-of; we had multiple meetings starting months before the wedding, attended venue walkthroughs together, and she led our wedding rehearsal as well. She was always available by e-mail or text, and made sure we stayed on track with our planning and weren't missing any minor details. My now husband and I were able to fully enjoy our wedding day without any stress thanks to Emily and her team. They took care of so much, from coordinating vendor arrival, helping set up the venue, assisting the wedding party during ceremony, MC games during the reception, moved gifts back to our hotel room, and more. I was newly engaged with a full time job, living across the country from my family and my bridesmaids. After taking almost 3 months to pick a date and a venue, I came to the realization if I was ever going to make it through the planning process, I needed help. I found Erin online and after reading reviews decided to reach out (I'm pretty sure my email sounded desperate!) After our first meeting I knew I was in good hands and signed on for full planning soon after! Throughout the entire planning process, Erin was everything all the other reviewers had to say - professional, organized, responsive, mindful of budget, and overall just great to work with. She definitely knows her stuff! I had a lot of different ideas of what I wanted and she was able to help me focus/define and make it a reality - and it all came out better than I could have imagined. I loved all the vendors she recommended and it was obvious the vendors both respected and liked working with her as well. On the day of, Erin was on her game - working with her assistants and bouncing between the church and reception space to make sure everything was perfect. My parents loved her, and I had many guests notice how hard she worked and tell me how great she was (is). Because of Erin, I was able to truly enjoy my wedding day! My memories aren't of worrying about whether the vendors are showing up on schedule and whether everything is set up at the reception space - they are of walking down the aisle and seeing my husband for the first time that day, saying our vows, laughing at the toasts and celebrating with our friends and family. I hired Erin as my day-of coordinator and could not have done it without her. Though most of my planning was well underway by the time we got together, she was able to step in right where I left off and hit the ground running. She was able to resolve a pretty major floral issue I ran into and kept constant contact with myself as well as all of the vendors I had chosen. I am originally from Seattle but currently live out of town so having a contact in Seattle to run errands for me and meet with vendors was a life saver. She took all of my crazy and unorganized ideas and made the event come together perfectly. I truly can say that my wedding day went off without a hitch and thanks to Erin I was stress-free the entire day and knew I had nothing to worry about. She truly is the most organized, timely, and passionate person you could ever imagine and was so on top of every detail that we had everything wrapped up and ready to go almost a week before the wedding.
