DYNAMITE FRIED CHICKEN Very good!
David S.

Great food and drink and beer selection. A fun atmosphere with pickle ball, darts, corn-hole, ping pong and many games with game room. Great place for games with TVs everywhere. Service was a little slow for a moderately busy weekday and was my only complaint.

A pretty fun spot with lots of activities! They also have trivia which has always been well established every time I've visited. They have a variety of drinks including mocktails!

Went here with some friends on a Saturday night. It was packed with a lot of people and lots of kids. Many of the games you need to reserve in advance, so make sure you download the app and reserve plenty of time ahead. Servers come around and bring you drinks, but the food you have to order inside. You get a buzzer for when your food is ready. The food is ready really quick. Lots of staff come around to see if you need another drink or anything. I'd like to go when it's not quite as busy, but overall a great place with good food and lots of things to do.

Fun calendared events, great for family outings and work events, and the food is actually really good. Gluten free options and dedicated fryer options are really nice. Happy hour options are half off shareables as well. We loved the dachshund dash event.

This is a cool place to drink and play games. Plenty of cool activities and great for groups. It is a self-service place for food. You walk up to a counter to order and pay. They give you a buzzer and you pick up your food when it buzzes and lights up. The food is hit and miss. Our food was mostly miss. The cheese nachos were ok. My friend said she didn't see an option to add meat. Maybe she missed it. She didn't like the sauce on her teriyaki meatballs. Another in our group ordered boneless wings with Asian sauce and parmesan sauce. What arrived were tiny pieces of what I'll describe as "popcorn chicken" and he was not a fan of the sauces or texture. You should be able to see and taste chicken when you bite into a boneless wing. I tried one of the Asian sauced pieces spit it into a napkin after biting into it and tasting it. It was gross. His tator tots were hard and barely seasoned. My cheese curds started out great until half way through when the pieces got smaller and harder. I never had an "Iowa Tenderloin" sandwich, so I asked the young woman taking food orders if it was a beef tenderloin. She said yes. She was wrong. I ordered it grilled, thinking it was beef, and received a grilled pork tenderloin. Damn! My sandwich was surprisingly ok. The bun was soft and raw onions and pickles helped the flavor of the unseasoned and nearly dry pork tenderloin. I will say I really liked my crinkle cut fries! Another in the group ordered her Iowa Tenderloin breaded and fried. She gave me a chunk, and that was actually good! She did not like the gravy with her mashed potatoes. So, if you go, you may want to eat somewhere else first, and just come to drink and play. If you must eat, I recommend a breaded and fried Iowa Tenderloin and crinkle cut fries.

In town from Kansas City for youth soccer and this was right across from our hotel. Same concept as Chicken n Pickle with yard games, pickle ball, etc..Lots of room inside. Great bar, service, food and lots to entertain. Open up a tab and just order food at the register, order drinks from the bar, or drinks from server no matter where you are at. Good game day sports viewing. I would recommend.

Great place for good competition, great food, and amazing service. Everything was on point but if the service wasn't on point, enjoying the atmosphere in such a big facility could be difficult. However Caroline, and the rest of the staff made it easy to hang out by our pickle ball court and get everything we wanted with practically no wait. Super impressed and will be back!

Came here because we had a Brew Pub Pass to fulfill. The ammenities at the facility seemed over priced to participate in which was a huge let down. The layout of the business is different. When placing a food order you need to go to a separate counter as the staff won't take your food order for you at your table. Apparently try drink orders can be taken at the table and any server can help you if you have an open tab. Happy hour prices seem reasonable for location of venue, but full price is spendy so plan accordingly. They do have large jenga games on some of the tables, lots of tvs and some of the tables along the outside have table games. There are arcade type games for your enjoyment as well. Since we visited in the winter, I'm not sure what they offer for outside games. Plastic glasses are used for drinks due to the activity level in pickleball courts for safety. Totally fine by me. Not sure I'd go out of my way to stop here again.

30 wings for $13.99. The wings are small, but this is a really great deal if you like bone-in wings.

Places like Smash Park aren't exactly my deal, but I've heard the food there was pretty decent. Since Court 7 is new to one of our local delivery services so I decided to give them a try. The first thing I grabbed was the bahn mi for $8.99. It just sounded good... Then I noticed something odd... 30 brined bone-in wings, with your choice of sauce, for $13.99? Huh? That can't be right... Every now and then my curiosity just gets the best of me and I order a "too good to be true" item just to see what I end up getting. I do this on eBay and Amazon too. What can I say... There's something a little wrong with me (outside of the normal stuff). So I added those wings too. Sauces on the side. Total cost for my order was $26 and change. The bahn mi was really good. Loved the pork (tender and fresh) and the flavor combinations. Ginger, the crunch of the cucumber, and a sauce that brought some heat to the sandwich... I have no idea if it was authentic or not... I don't really care. The wings. There weren't 30 for $13.99 There were 36... They were a little small (see pic where I'm holding one), but perfectly cooked. Because I'd ordered a ridiculous amount of food I shared the wings with a co-worker so he could try them too. With the size of the wings I was a little worried by the time I got them home and warmed them up they'd be dried out... Better to enjoy them hot. I'm a bone-in wing guy and even 30 smaller wings for $13.99 is a GREAT deal. Bang for your buck I don't know if this deal can be beat for bone-in wings in the metro... I'm still having a hard time believing this is normal deal/menu item for them and not a mistake on delivery site, but I can't find an online menu to verify the price. *** I checked with Court 7. This IS the correct every day price. *** Everything tasted good. For a delivery/take-out order... Two thumbs up. I don't know what the eat-in setup is like obviously, but check them out...

Outdoor area

By far one of my favorite spots in the Des Moines area. It's essentially a big play place for grown ups. There's indoor and outdoor seating and activities, several bars, a food area with a lot of different options, and so many sports areas. The indoor tables have tabletop games, giant jenga, and card games. Indoors and outdoors both have courts for games. Outdoor also has benches, couches, and corn hole areas. You can also pay to have groups here for events, and they'll section off the area you want - either indoor or outdoor! You can order your food through their app or by going up to the food counter. If you're outside, a bartender will come by and get your tab started so you can just chill with your buddies. They also have theme nights sometimes - my favorite so far is Thursday night dog nights where your dogs can hang in the outdoor area with you, water bowls and water are provided.

This place is huge and filled with fun games of all types: pickleball courts, bags, giant jenga, giant connect 4, arcade games, shuffle board, darts, and more. There is a large bar downstairs and a smaller one upstairs. I would've ordered everything on the menu if I could've. Everything looked delicious. I ordered the chicken and waffle sliders and Graziano side with fries. We also ordered traditional wings. The wings are smaller than average but there's 30 of them! We had some leftovers to take home. I enjoyed everything! They have specials on certain nights of the week and parties for holidays. They have awesome merchandise too. I can't wait to go back!

I am looking for somewhere to play music. Is there a open mic night?

Hey Chris! Right now, there is no Open Mic Night on the calendar but stay tuned for any music-related events or Karaoke Nights in the future!

Is this a kid friendly place? Good for 11 and 12 year olds?

Yes, very kid friendly! I have been there on Friday nights/Saturday afternoons and there are always quite a few young kids. There are many games for that age group such as jumbo size connect four, bags, ping pong, video games, etc.

We were treated so wonderfully and our waiter and the general manager went above and beyond to make us happy. Our wonderful waiter Derek welcomed us and was excited to learn that this was our first visit. He was friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely interested in helping us choose something on the menu that we would enjoy. I decided to get a supreme pizza because I like a lot of toppings on my pizza and my husband got the cavatelli because he was in the mood for pasta. The food came out extremely fast. Unfortunately, I didn't like my pizza very much because the center of the crust was very limp and droopy and the toppings fell off because they were kind of heavy. The outer edge of the crust was crispy but the middle of the crust seemed like maybe it needed to be cooked longer. I felt like the pizza should have been better. My husband loved his cavatelli and gave me a bite. I agreed that it was very good. I was wishing that I had ordered that, too. When Derek came and checked on us, I debated on whether I should say something about the pizza. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either. He could probably see the disappointment on my face. He said he really wanted to know what we thought about the food so I told him I was disappointed with the pizza. He was very understanding about it and said he didn't like his pizza droopy either. But we told him the cavatelli was excellent. It was a little bit sweet with the right amount of spiciness. A few minutes later, Courtney the general manager came to our table and apologized about the pizza. She was truly sorry about the pizza and even said she talked to the chef about cooking it longer but he said it might burn the pizza if they did that. And it had so many toppings on it that it might not make a difference on the crust. So she wanted me to pick something else on their menu for free. I was going to decline but she insisted, so I chose the cavatelli. They made it for me and brought it out quickly. We appreciated everything Derek and the GM did to make it up to us which really wasn't necessary. They went above and beyond. I felt bad about it but they wanted our first visit there to be great. Then when Derek brought our bill to us, we saw that they comped both the pizza and the extra cavatelli. So they were only charging us for my husband's meal. AND Derek brought us a free dessert. My husband and I were flabbergasted. They did way more for us than they should have. We have never been treated so well at a restaurant before. I didn't think that restaurants and waitstaff like this existed. It seems like since Covid, when you go to restaurants, they're understaffed or the workers don't seem like they want to be there and barely acknowledge you. But here they bend over backwards to make sure you're happy. I love that and appreciate everything they did. The atmosphere is casual yet upscale. It feels cozy and welcoming, too. There is outdoor seating as well. Believe me, we will be back and we'll tell our friends about this place. If you love excellent service and good food, please check this place out..

Being in a transitional phase his kitchen is useless so if we want to eat it's got to be in a restaurant. We've been everywhere so no clue how this gem snuck past us. I would put them next to any of the high end places downtown without a second thought. The ambiance is clean, casual and cozy - think Colorado log cabin. It's not a big place so I imagine you'll find long waits on weekends. If so, wait. Trust me. It wasn't crowded because we typically don't venture out until late but 3/4 of the tables were occupied and several people were at the bar. Even so, it was easy to carry on a conversation without needing to raise our voices. It's difficult to choose what to order because everything sounds great. We ordered chicken fried oyster mushrooms for an app and they set the tone for everything else. Perfectly breaded and seasoned with actual flavor being the stale oil taste of a lot of fried apps. I had the Lobster Mac and it was absolutely decadent. There was a generous amount of lobster and the pieces themselves were substantial. The blend of cheeses was perfect. For the side (which wasn't even necessary because the size of the Mac was more than big enough) I got the Boursin Mushroom Au Gratin. I can't think of a word that describes how delicious it was. Perfect creaminess, rich with a slight tang...it could have stood on its own. My fiancé ordered the Iowa Chop and we were both shocked at the size of it. Again (yawn) cooked just right, not even a hint of the dryness you see a lot with chops. The Creamed Brussels Sprouts were great but I had eaten myself sick at this point so I had to admit defeat. Portions were big enough that I had plenty in the take home container for a whole meal the next day. I wanted to try the amazing looking pie but needed to be able to fit through the door to go home. Next time for sure. Service was really good. The server was laid back and quick with recommendations that she could back up instead of the standard "I like it" you get. I was shocked at the reasonable prices. These days $20 for a mediocre burger is standard so I couldn't believe the quality of food for the price. Our running joke is that once a restaurant starts laminating their menus, the quality is about to tank so I'm keeping my fingers crossed theirs steer clear. It's independently owned by the same people that own Barntown Brewing a few doors down. We will definitely try that out based on our experience here. My only critique is that they serve Pepsi instead of Coke. Seems like DSM leans that way which breaks my heart. My southern roots and common sense keep me loyal to Coca Cola. Where I grew up when you order a Coke the server asks what kind of Coke because it's just what you call every soft drink. Go. Go tonight. You won't regret it.
