    Southern style chicken sandwich
    Robby F.

Randomly stopped at this nondescript industrial unit because I had a hunch anyone who knew about "smash" burgers could be a foodie-type who made the mistake of making a passion into a restaurant! Sure enough, the owner was a foodie and we talked what cuts of beef he grinds fresh. Really authentic food guy! Turns out he has been here ten years but changed from Italian post-COVID. The interior decor is still faux-Italian.. reminds me of the old Frankie Tommattos on Woodbine Ave! Anyways, had the southern fried chicken sandwich. Don't know what the marinade is but jeez, the sandwich was perfectly moist and tender with nice crispy buttermilk batter. Loved it! Only reason not 5 Stars is because no Dirt Coke and Diet Pepsi is too sweet for me! . In fairness, he said the Diet Pepsi was a considered decision because he thinks Diet Coke tastes like Club Soda!! Fair play! ;-) Going to try a burger next time I'm in the area!

My first taste of poutine was a success! It was delicious Great little shop , clean and cozy and David was very nice!

Taco Bell - Beef supreme loaded nachos

This Taco Bell is really a Taco Bell-KFC combo. It is simply listed as its own entry on Yelp…read more For the past year, I come to KFC regularly. Ever since I have had Taco Bell stateside, I have a craving for it. On Saturday, the craving was bad. I decided to come here to grab a bite to eat for lunch. I went through the drive-thru. You can order from both the KFC and Taco Bell menus, which is a neat perk. The downside was that the woman in front of me was placing a huge order. She took her sweet time deciding what side she wanted. Yep, I heard her entire order. On a good note, the extra time waiting for this woman allowed me to carefully read the entire menu. There are so many items on it that I feel pressured sometimes trying to figure out what I want. Anyway, I went with the crunch beef taco supreme. The combo, T3, comes with two tacos. I got hard shells. I asked for no sour cream. Instead of fries as my side, I wanted nachos supreme without sour cream, either. It's my go-to side. I also got a Diet Pepsi. Again, more waiting was the name of the drive-thru game. Thank goodness for music. I finally approached the window. The woman had to ask what drink I wanted. I kind of knew then that my order would be messed up. I'd say that my order is correct 80% of the time at this place. I paid using my debit card. All was good. Sure enough, I got my order and drove away. I could smell fries. I knew that I got fries supreme instead of nachos supreme. The good news is that the place did hold the sour cream. Yay! My crunch beef taco supreme was yummy. Both of them hit the spot. Although I'm not big on fries, the fries supreme was pretty tasty. Slather processed cheese, tomatoes, and chives on potatoes and they are bound to taste good. My Diet Pepsi was good. It tasted like it. It's not a bad place to get your Taco Bell fix. Just expect imperfections and waiting along the way. (57)

The walls have bright paintings everywhere, which adds a fun touch, and the whole place feels really clean, organized, and well kept. Even though it was packed when I went, everything still felt under control and not chaotic at all. The service was really efficient, especially considering how busy it was. The staff moved quickly, orders came out at a good pace, and everything was handled smoothly. As for the food, I got the one tender and one slider meal. The food was good, but I wouldn't say it fully lives up to the hype, especially considering how much amazing food we have in the GTA. Still, it was definitely decent. The tenders were crispy and well seasoned, and the fries were great. I love crinkle-cut fries, so those were a win for me, super crunchy and cooked well. The slider had the same seasoning as the tender and was still really tasty. I loved the addition of the pickles and coleslaw, they balanced everything out nicely. Their sauce was fine, but nothing crazy. I'd compare it to Chick fil A's sauce, just a bit less tangy. One thing I really liked was how the food was served. The big boxes look nice, everything is organized, and it honestly feels a little fancy, which I appreciated. Pricewise, I do think it's overpriced for what you get. I paid around $22 for the meal and it didn't even come with a drink, which felt a bit steep considering the portion size. That said, the quality is definitely top tier, you can tell they use good ingredients. Overall, it's not bad at all. I'd come back, but it's not something I heavily crave. For me, it's around a 7.5/10.

I went with the Dave's number 3 and was able to upgrade my fries to Mac and cheese for $2.99 extra. The food I will say was a miss. Bland and unflavoured considering how expensive it was. This was a fail in my book. The Mac & cheese tasted almost as if it came out of a box. My girlfriend had gotten fries with her meal and they weren't salted at all. The Texas toast or square bread that comes with the meal was soggy from the chicken resting in it and the list kind of goes on. The only positive I have was the sauce if I'm being honest. Together for two Dave's #3, two drinks and upgraded fries, we spent $55 bucks. Would I say it was worth it, absolutely not. I've been to a lot of other chicken spots in the GTA as well as America and they pass Dave's by a lot. I will say the inside seating area was the highlight for me as I think it's cool how they incorporated Brampton to the drawing.

The service was very fast & the location was ready when I walked in for pick up. I had the 2x Chicken Sandwich special ($19.99). I asked for the pickles & slaw on the side. He forgot the slaw all together. The sandwiches were dried-out & hard by the time I got them home (15 minute drive). I doubt they'd have been any different if I'd consumed them immediately. Also ordered a 2x piece of chicken fingers ($6.99). Came with coated fries which I'm not a fan of. The fingers were like a rock. Super dry & hard. Of note...the buffalo sauce on the sandwiches was different then the buffalo sauce for the fingers! The owner was kind enough to gift me 2x pieces of chicken & a small fries. Chicken was good but a good portion of the meal went directly into the trash. This is a 100% NOT a do over.
