I love smash burger normally. We went tonight to get takeout. The restaurant was quiet there was one person in line in front of us, I ordered at 8:25, at 9 PM I went to the front and I was asking what was taking so long. The rude person behind the counter never even asked my name he just said that they were working on it. No apologies nothing. As soon as I sat down I heard him ask the cook, do you have an order for Lisa. The cook shook his head no and 10 minutes later miraculously my food was ready. Went to Smashburger for lunch today. It being the first time I had been there I didn't know what to expect. The service was mediocre at best, the food was greasy and had no flavor. Both of the burgers were made wrong, one had no onions and one had no bacon. When we asked for the onions on the side it took far too long, atleast 5 minutes and I had to ask twice. I thought the food was okay but I prefer if there were more toppings on the burger because I feel like some of them are very bland. Went to this Smashburger a couple of weeks ago on a whim. It was my first time trying this chain and I was pleasantly surprised by the good service, the food, and the atmosphere. Not knowing the menu I just ordered a Classic (basic) Smashburger, french fries and fountain drink. The person taking my order was really polite and helpful, taking time to explain the food would be brought to the table when ready and to help myself with a drink at the fountain. The same person brought out the food when it as ready and made sure everything was OK. The burger was very good, nice texture and seasoned just right. The fries were delicious! Not greasy and very tasty! The dining area was very clean and I saw employees checking all the tables and other areas throughout my visit. This is burger place but it's not really a fast food place. I had a regular (single) hamburger and the Smash fries. Both items looked edible, and I was hungry. I tucked into the fries first. They were fairly warm, but I didn't find the garlic, rosemary and olive oil they were coated in to be tasty after the first couple of fries. Just oily. After four or five I just didn't want any more. I went for lunch this past Friday to smash with my wife and my son. We ordered 2 Colorado burgers with fries and my son ordered spicy chicken sandwich with spicy chicken fingers and potato tarts. Now I know help is hard to find nowadays, but these such something calls common sense. If you know that the fried chicken sandwich takes longer time why can't just start cooking that first and cook the burgers around the time the chicken is cooked. That didn't happen me and my wife got our food first and we waited for my sons food to come out. Paid online and took it all home -- trying to social distance. We got exactly the opposite of what we ordered. My son asked for no toppings but wanted to try the truffle mayo. He got all the toppings and no truffle mayo. I wanted all the toppings but didn't get any of them. We also got only 1 fry side order instead of 2. He was so disappointed he fed most of his burger to the dogs. Won't go back. I'll look for turkey burger somewhere else. read more

Though better than McDonald's, it's no Shake Shack. Overall food was OK but not great. My bacon cheeseburger was a bit too salty, which is saying something because I generally like salty food. My husband said his truffle burger left a bad taste in his mouth. He also did not like how thinly cut his sweet potato fries were, preferring thicker potatoier fries, but I liked my rosemary smash fries well enough, and they had a good rosemary smell. Reese's peanut butter shake was good but tasted a bit mass-produced. I'd rate a Friendly's shake as somewhat better. This location is apparently having trouble with its liquor license, and so though alcohol was on the menu it was not available. I've been to this Smashburger a few times, and to other restaurants in this chain; and the burgers and fries have been reliably good. I like the veggie frites as a fun low-carb option.
